Beautiful looking Truck 👍👍😍
Nitrogang!
3-speed BABYYYY
Nitro never dies 2 speed baby
Taking me back to 1992 when I wanted this truck so bad. Excited to see this get re-released!
I miss the popularity of nitro. Probably 80% of my recent rc purchases have been older nitros. In my early days of the hobby, there were so many nitro options.
A really good break in is about a gallon of fuel. Did the rbmods way of breaking in some engines he did for me, and they run amazing.
well Nitro use to be the hands down winner in just about every way. Now days thats not really the case. Electric is now the king in just about everyway.
Make nitro great again nitro is still king for me I don't own no electric rc
I think I'm going to have to get into nitro just for this truck. Looks awesome!
There's a bit of a learning curve if your new to nitro's or if your not mechanically minded but the work you put into it really pays off, what a buzz ha ha
BEYOND pumped to see you review this one here man! I have had my eyes on this one as well. Thanks for the great content as always!
Ethan
I want that truck just to put up on a display. I can look at that thing all day!
Old chassis new body. I've a mad cruiser, same thing also nitro. I run mine with a hpi savage body cos the wheelbase is about right. Can't bash too hard, links do not take landings like A arms do. It does look good though torque twisting like a proper monster truck. The weird steering links is so ya can have rear wheels connected. Mine came with a rear axle with turny bits like the front but its locked with a removeable bit of plastic. Rolls easy in the corners but it's a tall, solid axle truck sooo 🤷♂️
Loved this truck back in the day. Glad it's back out. The body looks great!
Wonderful truck thanks for sharing the GP! ✌️
Looks good . Don't think I will be getting one. Glad your back brother
Go on, we need a nitro on the channel
Vas, I'm so jealous........ I'm 100% getting one of these in the Nitro version as well. What an absolute beauty, hopefully you will get one of your own for the channel, maybe both versions lol. 👌
Big thanks Simon!!! That’s awesome he left you open the sealed box!! Love the CARNAGE vids! I’m with him, nitro for shelf and electric for bash! Ha!! Them tires would be great on my SMT’s. N yea the J-Concepts on my monster jam trucks are 12mm. Thanks as always and keep up the great content bud!!!🤙👍🏻
Love the channel, love your reviews. Just finished upgrades to my losi Lmt full of treal bling . 4 wheel steering. Bit of nitro is awesome.🆖🤜🤛👍😜
Good work Simon! Legend 👍
A very kool truck 😎. I had a look at the electric version as Fuel is so difficult to source here in NZ . I immediately liked the battery mountings they’ve done . Might be smash the piggy bank time!. Thanks Vas for showing us this truck and thanks to your Mate for lending it 👍.
So cool, you got the nitro version. It's the one I would get as well
Looks awesome!
Thanks Simon!
Man I used to have the old school electric version that was kyoshos answer to the clod buster. It was very cool at the time to be the kid on the block that had the large RC. Beautiful looking truck. Would like to see your review of the electric version. Always great vids Vas. 👍
thanks for this vas ...... i have one of these and they are awsome 👍👍
Such a good looking truck.. totally understand for shevling it but would have loved to have seen you ripping it..left a thumbs up 👍
Nice. I'm glad you are going to test this nice Nitro truck out. I don't have any nitros. Maybe in the future. Hehe
thanks for this unboxing
3 speed baby!
Already have a Mad Crusher GP and love it to death. Might get the body, wheels, tires for one of these to swap onto that.
DAMN! I lusted for one of those as a kid.
THANKS SIMON.!! 😜 👍
There's a twin motor option if you go for the electric version. x2 4s brushless motors!!!
I put the Kyosho decal over God
4WS adds to the realizum and wind shield wipers even on 2 cell battery 4x4x4 cranks on.
Just ordered one. I’m on the fence about actually running it
Damn... I had the electric twin engine 4ws version back in the mid 90s. Cool truck.
Hi Vaz, I highly recommend a rechargeable receiver pack. a 2S Life should be perfect. Those AA packs are awful, can't handle the current servos pull, and love to disconnect.
Bring back the nitros! Love them I have 3
Sweet looking chevy
Sweet truck
wonderful video does the nitro version have reverse speed? greetings friend
Thank's Simon 👍
was wondering since you featured the Kyosho USA-1 on the channel have you ever done an Losi LMT I have not seen it regardless what are you thoughts on that truck would you get one or strongly recommend one Im more of a basher but i understand those trucks are not meant to sent 20 plus feet.
This is going to be my next rc truck! Brushless rc cars and trucks are fun but nitro powered ones are more fun because of the noise! ;) And monster trucks in general are designed to destroy cars, and do big jumps. Not speed machines.
Love this and to be honest I would put it on the shelf also :) And I would of also gone with the Nitro
It's just a mad force mad crusher with new body right? I'm not seeing anything new but the body
Are the wheels 2.6 diameter?
How top heavy is this
I wish I did pre-order, can't decide between nitro and electric , id probably not run the body . Beauty
Very special
15:06 yeah that's the same chassis my Mad Crusher has. Good chassis. They're not weak by any stretch. The weak link is teh axle tubes and to break those requires a trip to a skate park Kev Talbot style. IE you drive this thing reasonably you wont' break it. I've had my Crusher for 3 or 4 years now and I've never broken it.
Please don't use that AA holder that came in the box though. Those things are runaway generators. I use a 2s LiFE battery the same form factor, 1900mAh, in mine. Fits in the same spot but so so so so so so so so so so much better.
Link to said battery pack? I'm guessing one can't use something like rechargeable NiMH AAs (Eneloop) due to the lower (1.2) voltage?
It’s just a mad force 2.0 with a new body but very cool none the less
Vas hoping you decide to get one and crossing my fingers its the nitro version.
Nitroooooooo
Pimp ride! Get more stock metrohobbies!, great vid…
JConcepts tires miiiiiight fit, but the wheels probably won't - they attach via 12mm hex.
Is there a running video? Thanks for reviewing the nitro version!
Unfortunately, no running video.
Nice video Vas may I ask if your first nitro was a small block in my experience they are always to finicky you’d spend more time tuning than bashing big blocks are a different animal once tuned they will hold it and stay dialed in
To be honest, I don't know what size engine it was, all I know is it wouldn't start one day and then the pull-start broke and that was the end of my time with nitro. LoL
@@AussieRCPlayground I hear ya I still love running nitro but you can’t beat the ease and quietness of electric’s I remember I bought the mgt 8.0 when it first came out never even started it up I sold it that is a regret I carry I’d like to get my hands on one of them again or an ofna twin force both awesome nitro’s happy bashing I love your content
The price is pretty good too.
Awesome that you got one of these! I know the engine header, roll bar lights, and the sideview mirrors are going to break off during the first rollover. But more importantly, are those axles and links going to survive? That's the kind of thing that would break instantly on most solid axle trucks running on 4S (which is what the USA-1 VE runs, so I assume the gas is similar in speed). Running 2S is much more common on stock solid axle trucks.
The axles will hold, the links won't.
Trucks cool. No way could I not run it.
Vas when do you think v2 kaju going drop , I seen a picture thanks to you .
Haven't really heard anything, so not sure when it will drop.
@@AussieRCPlayground thank u sir
Absolute beauty, this will become a collectors item in the future
You think even the nitro or both ? I'll admit I got lazy and my nitro sits but this thinks cool 3sp tranny .
@@paulclancy2404 from what I've seen nitros are often harder to find, finding a clean rc10gt for example is very hard these days. I'm sure both models will appreciate in value
@@bingcringing lol that was my first nitro, it was alot of fun , I had kyosho optima mid se too , who knew they be collectable. Good point , either one if I get im going use it , id keep the body for the shelf though . Suprised still 500 I can see it going up , whats 500 anymore with 8th scale and bigger companies,
1:15 Kyosho engines are dreamboats. I get one pull starts out of mine all the time. You'll do fine with this thing; it ain't like a Traxxas engine where a diehard gearhead like myself who works on engines as small as a 0.049 up to lorry engines can't even get one to behave.
Ive had the exact opposite experience. Dont get me wrong i like kyosho but their engines have been hit or miss. The TRX engines ive had have all been pretty reliable. I had an older GRX? Kyosho motor in my inferno that would run backwards if you let off the throttle too fast lol.
@@ShabbernigdoXingjian I fly airplanes with engines that spent 30+ years in a junk drawer without issue, but I couldnt get a 3.3 to run right to save its life. Something close to 3 dozen glow engines in my collection and only two have ever given me any modicum of shit, the 3.3 being one of those two.
@@TestECull you could of just had a dud . Ive had about 5 between the revos and maxxes and had no real issues with any of them except one that ended up with a cracked carb after it ate a parked car tire at near full speed : P also the traxxas top fuel would dye the internals red for some reason.
@@ShabbernigdoXingjian Ye I ain't buyin' that one. Every issue I had with my 3.3 is backed up by enough google results of the same issue from unique users to fill an encyclopedia.
The TRX3.3 is an unapologetic piece of shit. The conrod is shit, the top end is shit, the carb is shit, the bearings are shit.
The really frustrating thing about it is there's the bones of a good engine in there *somewhere*. The half dozen or so times mine deigned to run like I expect and demand my engines to run it was quite the screamer; didn't have much down low but once the Rs got up it'd just flat scoot. But that was....ooh, half a dozen runs out of nearly a gallon of running.
When you put proper bearings in them, put the Davis diesel dual-bushed conrod in them, put an OS carb on them, they perform reasonably well. But for that kinda money you'd be better served just buying a OS and being done with it.
I'm 128 percent convinced the TRX2.5 and TRX3.3 are why so many people in this hobby think nitros are nothing but tuning and deadsticks. If their sole experience was one of these desk ornaments it'd explain why they say that.
You can peep my channel; I have video of my Slayer running on its 3.3 and on the Dynamite 19T 5-port I replaced the 3.3 with. I've also got videos of...well shit basically every glow engine I own that actually runs is uploaded at least once.
"As some people say". 😅😅
I'd say most? Could be totally wrong though. 😄😄
Sorry to bother you with this, just wondering if you can advise if and when Metro will have these in stock? Really want to purchase one. Is there a waiting list or similar I can go on?
Best option is to call the store (or come in, if you're local) and put your name down for one when it comes in. I know there's more stock on the way, I'm just not sure when it'll arrive. But if you give us a call during the day, I can find out for you. 🙂
@@AussieRCPlayground I'm not local but will call tomorrow. Bonus points if I get to speak to you personally :)
Haha, there's a good chance you will. 😁
Yikes, I'm surprised Kyosho kept some of the stickers on that truck
Are those stickers easily removed? The USA-1 is fine but I’d want to take the extra garbage off the bottom and rear
I'm pretty sure you can, just use a bit of heat and they should come off pretty easily.
Loser
🇺🇸
When are you gonna do some more rc carnage racing
Unknown. Lots of challenges to make that happen again, but with some luck it might still happen. 🤞
"Nitro" you say.?
Wassat then.? A new type of battery, like a LiPo.. A NiTro.?! 😜 👍 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚙 🚗 🚓 🚐
❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊. ไฟแอดพ์. ???
Was that a NYC voice.
I'm rather disappointed that for what these things cost they come with phillips head screws.................
U can't kill a nitro
Nitro or nothing 👍
O so you want to work on it all the time instead of learning how to drive it lol
..... RUNNING VIDEO.......
Not gonna happen. Owner has already sold the truck. Sorry.
I live in US and I have a few used nitros I'd like to sell...also so.e electric models too...find me and message me on Facebook for pics/videos and info✌
A chain drive rc?!? Oh I can already see some problems with that, especially because it's an open design.
It's actually a bulletproof drivetrain. I have never ever broken it, or have I ever heared of someone have problems with the chain in the 20 years that this chassis exists.
Nitro= Dirty, obsolete crap. No matter the brand.
Electric = libtard cuck
bah a stupid nitro. To much bad smell, no reverse and to much maintenance. Except from that the car looks real great.
