This Texas Town Hasn’t Had Running Water In Its 142 Year History

  • Every drop of drinkable water in Sandbranch, Texas, is shipped in. The small community has never had running water in its entire 142-year existence and its groundwater is contaminated. Why do all of the towns neighboring it have water, but Sandbranch doesn’t?

Hey fam. I see a lot of you asking what contaminated the water. They tested it in the 1980s and 1990s and found bacterial contamination. There's no agreement on what caused the contamination. I hope this helps. Thank you so much for watching.

Good story. Thanks for exposing this stain on Dallas lawmakers. What did the Dallas city council say about this ? I feel like we need a part 2 on what Dallas lawmakers have to say on this gentrification of Sandbranch. I bet if you looked closely, you will find developers lined up to snatch the whole town up as soon as they mange to push out the last black family.
Also, lol at you refusing to taste the water, when you been to or are from Africa. You know our water in Africa, be ten times more contaminated but we use it anyway.... lol.

Terrell x3 Anderson County, Texas just experienced the worst freeze in my lifetime. Power grids failed due to The Big Brown plant that the government closed down in 2018 (they have a plan). That plant is directly across the river in Freestone County from my family property in Anderson County. My mother use to cross the river on a foot bridge. There was a black town there just like Sandbranch. The plant took over. Now the plant is closed and the government has slowly taken most of the land on both sides of the river. My family is one of the few original owners left.

And thats part of the way the "man" wants to keep it. They dont want more pple knowing and asking questions, forcing the citys hand and exposing the corruption and gentrification plans of Dallas lawmakers who want to see this land in the hands of some white oil tycoon in TX who's gonna develop it and pay the taxes to Dallas- Then and only then, will you hear about the newly built beautiful bedroom community advertising for one and all to move on in, water and sewer ready and new, equipped with a strip mall, a Starbucks, a new school and lush green park for ur pups to play and poop in. Then and only then will the "flood zone" designation mysteriously disappear.
THIS IS ALL ABOUT RACE AND POVERTY. Same story replicated across the south. There's black only rural communities in Mississippi, Alabama with no running water and out houses- still to this day! IN AMERICA. But those are poor states, Texas aint, and Dallas can afford to install city water in Sandbranch even at 6.5 million. Ive seen the roads built in Texas and Dallas to be precise, I know they can spare 6 mill for a water and sewer system, if they so inclined.
Reservations also still have no running water and electricity, no broadband either. But then again, the laws don't regard reservations as American land that need to be developed. Sad but true.

Remember Ephesians 6: 10-19. We don't wrestle against flesh and blood ONLY, our battle is a spiritual one , that's why we need Christ Jesus in us the hope of glory. We want to prosper in all areas of our lives not just financially, but in our marriages, families, health, businesses, joy, peace, everything. Jesus wants us to lean on him i.e. Proverbs 3:1-35. God Almighty has to be included in every aspect of life. Shalom
