    Best lecture on propagation I ever heard.
    Mono ammonium phosphate helps the young transplant for the first weeks in the medium.

    • @KALIX-NPK
      @KALIX-NPK  Месяц назад

      Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you found the lecture valuable. You’re absolutely right-Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) is a fantastic tool for supporting young transplants during their critical first weeks in the medium.
      MAP provides phosphorus (P) and ammonium nitrogen (N), both of which play vital roles in early plant development. Phosphorus is essential for strong root growth and energy transfer, helping plants establish quickly in their new environment. Ammonium nitrogen promotes early vegetative growth and acidifies the rhizosphere slightly, enhancing phosphorus availability for young roots.
      For best results, apply MAP during the first two weeks after transplanting at a concentration of 50-100 ppm of phosphorus in irrigation water. This ensures optimal root establishment and plant recovery during this sensitive period. MAP’s high solubility makes it ideal for fertigation, but avoid mixing it with calcium-based fertilizers to prevent compatibility issues.
      By incorporating MAP into your transplanting protocol, you provide young plants with the nutrients they need to thrive. Feel free to reach out if you’d like further tips or guidance! 🌱

    What does a 5 part humic acid to 2 parts kelp mean?
    Are we talking about powdered HA and kelp or their extracts, and if so, which extract strenght are they and at which dilution should they be used? Links to virginia tech study please? Thank you.

    ?? What source of humic and fulvic acid ?? I make worm castings from leaves and my fruit, veg water. Could I use that?

    • @KALIX-NPK
      @KALIX-NPK  25 дней назад

      @kevinv2474 - Great question! 🌱 Worm castings are an excellent source of humic and fulvic acids, especially when they’re made from nutrient-rich inputs like leaves, fruits, and vegetable scraps. As organic matter breaks down in the worm's gut, it produces humic substances that are naturally present in the castings.
      To get the most out of these humic and fulvic acids:
      1️⃣ Brew Worm Castings into a Tea: Steeping your worm castings in aerated water for 24-48 hours can extract these beneficial acids, along with microbes that improve soil and plant health.
      2️⃣ Apply Directly to Soil: Adding castings to your soil or growing medium releases humic substances slowly, improving nutrient retention and uptake.
      If you want higher concentrations, you can combine your castings with products like humate-based extracts, but your homemade worm castings are already a fantastic, natural source. Keep up the great work-it sounds like your plants are thriving! 🌿✨

    Ideal humidity for cuttings is 98%? That sounds too high and would contribute to mold. Where did you get that number?

    • @KALIX-NPK
      @KALIX-NPK  25 дней назад

      @rynophiliac - Great observation! 🌱 While 98% humidity might sound high, it’s actually ideal for freshly taken cuttings during the first few days of propagation. At this stage, the cuttings lack roots and rely on high humidity to reduce transpiration and avoid wilting, allowing them time to establish and develop roots.
      That said, you’re absolutely right about mold being a risk in prolonged high humidity. To avoid this, it’s important to maintain good airflow, avoid stagnant conditions, and gradually lower humidity (to around 70-80%) as the cuttings begin to root.
      So, while 98% is a starting point to keep those cuttings happy, the key is balance-high initial humidity combined with proper ventilation to prevent mold growth. 🌿 Hope that clears it up, and thanks for bringing such an important point to light! 🌟

    Sir can you give me a answer about how to get for anthocyanin in plants to stay by chemical application?

    • @Freedom_Born
      @Freedom_Born Месяц назад +2

      Is this for consumable product?
      Added chemicals to enhance anthocyanins may not be recommended for ingestion and or consumption ~ unless you're absolutely familiar with the constituents of the "added chemical(s)"

    • @KALIX-NPK
      @KALIX-NPK  Месяц назад +2

      Anthocyanin production and stability in plants can be influenced by chemical applications and nutrient management. Key strategies include optimizing nutrient levels (e.g., limiting nitrogen, ensuring adequate phosphorus and potassium), adjusting pH to acidic levels, and applying elicitors like salicylic acid, jasmonic acid, or ethephon to trigger pigment synthesis. Foliar sugar applications and chelated micronutrients can further enhance anthocyanin accumulation, while antioxidants like ascorbic acid can prevent degradation. These techniques must be tailored to the plant species and environmental conditions, as genetics also play a critical role. This topic is complex and deserves a detailed article to provide deeper insights.
