A chosen once killed half my a-team, abducted my trainees, stole my spaghetti, and kidnapped my dog then called him a bad boi.

Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis isn't better than the Chosens at all. With Nemesis you gotta die in order for the chieftains to progress, while the Chosens progress alongside you. Chieftains can't extract informations like the Chosens, can't capture any character on Talion's side, and overall they're much easier to deal with than Chosens except when you run into ones with cheating number of traits.
Two different games, two different systems, like wather and oil.
as a new xcom 2 player I found the sheer amount of features to be overwhelming with this new dlc. I mean, every other moment there's some sort of a new faction or a mission type or building or whatever, and it gets really hard to keep track of stuff in your mind imho.
Yea I just bought the main game (on sale on PSN) and the base game is complex enough, after one play through I have the hang of it now, but I wouldn't reccomend playing the expansion as a first playthrough
I mean like, they just bombard you with new game mechanic only seconds after introducing the previous ones. These things should be more spaced out. On the first mission type to capture the boxed supplies, I brought along a skulljack for the first time, used it on an advent officer, which spawned a golden electric lady (new enemy type), and on the same mission they also introduced the snake lady enemy (new enemy) and a Chosen ninja lady decided to sneak attack on me. And it was supposed to be an easy misssion....
RussianGuyovich I played Enemy Within and just started 2 WotC and yeah there's a lot.
Yeah I wish they wouldnt cram so many game mechanics so close to each other, you should introduce this stuff gradually.
That and I also really hate this new writing approach, not sure what's the correct term, but like, the namings here are just cringe.
"Skirmishers"? Really? Thats what you wanna call your ex alien-human hybdrids? Okay
"Reapers" So edgy it hurts.
"Templars"????? Okay you're not even trying...
"The Lost" Can we just drop the whole fucking Walking Dead syndrome and start calling zombies "zombies" already? They're fucking human corpses that were brough to life. The lost is a tv show, stop trying to be so pretentious with your names, ugh.
I know it's a minor nitpick but it just irks me personally lol
RussianGuyovich do the skulljack and blacksite missions at a time when you're completely comfortable with the game. Doing them early is always a bad idea.

each dlc I start from scratch then finish the game...so far I've finished XCOM 2 4x...game is awesome af...
Finally finishing up Xcom Enemy Within so I can jump onto 2. I'm super excited to finally get into it.
Then, you're probably not going to like the intro to XCOM 2. But I think that's what makes the series stand out. It shows how high the stakes can be.
Don't do the intro. Save Ana and Peter.
I never did 1. Have I absentmindedly let two known persons die repeatedly and not care?
Just a tip, don't play the game with war of the chosen immediately. Choose the option to play the base game. It's a bit overwhelming with all the new mechanics introduced in the expansion.

Xcom2/WOTC game is so much fun, yet so underrated.
By whom is it underrated?? 0_o
So on the fence with this one, fighting immortal, recurring enemies that may drop in at any time and won't die until a specific mission comes along must be beyond annoying. I like FAIRNESS, and they break all the rules of X-COM => cannot be killed, appear randomly, don't obey the turn based system, can't be strategised against because they adopt so that they've got no weaknesses.
Not really true. They all have a different set of weaknesses. Just add to the intensity of missions with the possibility of them jumping into combat.

Fun content, but horribly buggy on PS4. They're serious game breaking bugs too, unfortunately. Deleted ironman saves, corrupted unloadable saves, img bug where images don't show, harsh framerate drop making it seem like it's stopmotion. Delayed action/control input. All ridiculously frustrating :(
Feel I should warn PS4 users about this.
Only buy this on pc 💻

i play the first mission on War of the Chosen and my game crashes. is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
Is it me or do the three factions reminisce of Destiny's three classes? The Snipers or Hunters, the Warlocks or Templars, and the Trooper with the Iron Man looking guys in Xcom?
Or the standard three RPG classes: mage, Assassin, warrior.
Too bad the performance on ps4 is so bad
Gives the same score as Uncharted Stand-Alone despite adding hundreds of more hours of quality non linear content.

Fuck this game I've never hated a game more than this game because I am shit at it lol
Git gud, scrub. Nah, just kidding. XCOM is something that takes a while to learn and you gotta plan ahead more than 3 steps, sometimes 5 steps. And even when your plans sound good on paper, the RNG gods may not look on you with favor.
