You did inspire me to make customs actually, because you explain this in such a way that made me realize you dont have to be a custom god to be able to make customs, but this will be the first time i'll actually make a custom featured on this show instead of just doing my own ideas, because this looks amazing! I'll mail you a picture of my first custom, still pretty proud of it :)

He had a Mega Lucario collector's figure, so some super glue took care of the rest.
another option in how to remove the tabs on the lego bricks is to use Lego flat service titles these are useful when you want a smooth top although this makes a smaller gap in the jagged wall I think it is just better in my opinion

The Bricktube Heat, cold, moisture, etc doesn't really have much effect on the NFC chip in my experience. Obviously if you set it on fire it will burn or if you expose it to erosive chemicals it may deteriorate. I've done some extensive testing & if the surface is badly scratched or if the it's folded or bent too much then the data may become unreadable.

I'm currently gathering my supplies for a Funko Pop custom amiibo. No base, because I'm not a fan of amiibo's bases... A silver and gold Mega Man amiibo. And one of "old school box art" Mega Man (the yellow and blue suit), plus the pistol and hands. I already lopped off the buster cannon off of Mega Man and just need to replace it. Will be doing the wire and thumbtack thing as well, and I'm waiting for my hand drill to appear from China.

Sure! I created them in Adobe Illustrator & took them to a local print shop.
