Being able to fly with either controller is a huge bonus in my books. With the Avata 1 it was such a pain to switch back and forth I stopped flying with the motion controller all together. When I get the Avata 2 and I will get it I will be flying with both controllers lol. Thanks for sharing Jim.
That's great news, that you don't have to rebind the controllers everytime you switch. I only have the Motion 3 for the Avata 2, but I had the Motion 2 and FPV controller 2 for the Avata 1 and tended not to switch controllers that much because I hated the rebinding progress. Nice test flight, I enjoyed seeing the park and the lake, your weather has really improved. Great video Jim, thanks for sharing.
actually Alex they done great job with motion 3 dont think i prefer one over the other both very good done filming here with x4 love this camera still have x3
Nice Jim strange you had to bind your controllers each time with the original avata.I have never had that issue and regularly switch between the mc2 and rc 2 are you enjoying the new avata?
@jimsdroneing I wonder if that's to do with different firmware Jim only time I had to rebind is if I had used them on a gps drone like the mini 4 or mavic but with the avata no such issues. Yeah, you won't with the avata 2 because the controller now goes via the goggles as in signal where the original the controller signal goes to the drone. I am on the fence with the avata 2 at the minute and can see some good improvements like camera and quieter sound, but the prob gaurds are not replaceable and look like they break fairly easy but I will give it some more time before I decide But my brain keeps saying buy buy buy lol.need some patience enjoy your weekend bud 👍
@@jimthorleydronefootage will have to take avata 1 out again and double check that but will tell you avata 2 flys so much better and motion 3 very well designed want to test manual mode see if handles better that first avata luv it jim
@@jimthorleydronefootageI think the binding on the A2 is easier to switch because the controllers are connected to the goggles, not the drone like the A1.
