Hey Kayla, I just wanted to say that I follow a bunch of vloggers on RUclips, but nobody else gives me the same vibe as you- positivity, energy, authenticity, and none of that holier than thou attitude. I just love your content and find myself truly caring for your family. Even your intro music is uplifting! Thanks for staying true to yourself ❤
🥹🥹 you just made my morning! Thank you so much my friend! Glad you enjoy hanging out with us despite all the craziness 😅 lol I’m so happy you’re here! ❤
Loved this video! You did a great job showing us the houses! And I’m so happy you were willing to share prices with us! Very eye- opening on how expensive Florida is! Thanks for taking us along and can’t wait for more!
We had that happen when we were looking this year too. We finally got one in end of may and moved in in late June but the whole hunt and everything was a very emotionally draining experience but in the end, we got exactly what we needed.
We bought our house last year and when I tell you, God will show you signs on what to walk away from. We walked away from a house after some things didn’t line up and now months later, we understand why, God has a bigger and better plan. Good luck on the rest of your house hunting!
I’m excited to see the houses you see next! I’m floored by how much they are charging for some of those! The yards are baby sized too. Maybe we have just been spoiled but I need enough space for fruit trees, garden enclosure, playground area, covered seating/grill space, and plenty of room for playing soccer. Just realized how high maintenance our outdoor needs are. 😂 I would love a few acres, but we are in town. We at least back up to a tree line so the kids feel like they are playing in the woods. We live in the beautiful Midwest though so it is a bit easier and much cheaper to come by land. I’m sorry the first house fell through. I was surprised y’all didn’t like the third one but sounds like there were issues not evident on video. The second one felt sooooo tiny in the living space. I’m also terrified of alligators, so I don’t blame them haha!!! They definitely live in little ponds like that. Ducks are a lot nicer though. 😅
I relate to you so much! I’m a Christian mom with a 3 year old daughter and 1 year old son. My best friend has twins. We just bought a house in 2021 to be close to family. When you find the right house for your family, you’ll understand why the others didn’t work. Praying it all works out for you! Your channel is so motivating!
We just went through the buying process in Jan of this year. I'd never done it before, and I assumed people exaggerated the emotions you go through. Oh no. No exaggeration. It was rough. And our realtor told us we actually had one of the smoothest buying processes that she's done, so I can't even imagine. We know this isn't our forever home, but we think we'll be here for 5 or 6 years so we're planning on some Changes to it. We were working with a super small budget, and needed both move in ready, a garage and privacy on a large lot. We looked at a few different towns and a few houses in each town, and it was shocking how different the pictures made things look. Our realtor warned us of it but we were still astounded, in a bad way. And we walked into this one and all the tension and fear just disappeared. We felt it in 30 seconds that this was the right one. We barely even spoke as we walked through and outside, and just looked at each other said "I guess we're putting an offer in?" And now we live here, and it feels amazing. I don't know if it's like that every time, but it definitely was this time. It just instantly felt right. And still does.
Loved seeing the process of you guys looking for a house. Too bad it didn't work out this time, but it just wasn't meant to be. I'm shocked at house much homes are right now in Miami. But if you haven't already, I've been living in the country walk area and we love it and there are some homes for sale. When we looked like 11 years ago we had such miserable time looking cause we looked for months until we found our home and we even sat in the driveway and prayed after losing so many other opportunities and we were blessed that it all worked out. Best of luck and hopefully you guys find something soon and keep praying
If you end up getting the lake house they sell stainless steel stickers that you can put on your white appliances to give them the updated look you want for a much more affordable price instead of having to upgrade functional appliances right away.
really glad u didn't rush it- back in 2021 we also prayed that God would would make very obvious what He thought we should buy- and at a time when almost everything was going to bids, we saw a place that was not doing bids, that was exactly our price, the inspection showed no issues and we later found out that the place could have sold for at least $50 000 more....we had to wait to find this place, but God knew what it was and when it would actually be on the market!!!!!
That first house is amazing, i live in an apartment and my parents live in a good house in PA but that view in the backyard , you can replace anything in the house, thats over time, every house needs work to make it your home. ❤
If a person is selling the home without an agent, it’s very much normal for them to be the one doing the house walk thru/tour! Praying for the perfect home for you guys! ❤
Don't forget to check for mold. It's serious and can cause a ton of health problems. Check air vents bathrooms check for moisture etc.. me and tons of other people have suffered from mold exposure and lost basically everything had to get rid of alot of my stuff and my health was affected.
Thanks for taking us house hunting i truly enjoyed it. I loved the last house with the grey cabinets. I just saw you and your family in it. But the price YIKESSS lol.. blessings to you. Trust in the Lord he will guide you and family ❤❤
Is it super common to have the tile flooring throughout? I’m from the PNW and I was just curious because we’re strong carpet/wood flooring in this area I’ve noticed 😂
@@elizabethcarballo2891 that’s so interesting! Is it for any specific reason or is it just a common style choice? Honestly with all the rain and mud we have here I could see it either being really nice that all that wasn’t getting stuck in carpet or really annoying because my dogs would cover it in muddy foot prints😂
@@shelbylewis395 it’s a lot of things. I can’t speak about the rest of Florida but in south Florida we are very different from the rest of the state and it is heavily a Latin city, a lot of our parents are immigrants and in their countries their homes are flooring there’s no carpet me thinking of my moms country. We just grew up that way, even in apartments theres flooring all throughout. I know some apartment complex do have carpet in certain areas but that makes it look smaller, dirtier, hotter and we are a humid state. I use to live in a apartment with carpet and I was miserable and the constant vacuuming 😵💫 and it really did make it look smaller and hotter so I moved upstairs and it’s marble flooring throughout. Also, probably the most logical reason, we get hurricanes and are at sea level. We have A-LOT of flooding areas and we are entering our non stop raining/hurricane season and when it floods IT FLOODS. That would be a pain and would have to be ripped off if your house or first floor apartment had carpet.
I know nothing about Miami house market, but is it an option to just rent a house until you find a dream home? Buying a house is such an important decision to make
I hope your house search goes well, Kayla! I was in the same shoes as you last summer! Pregnant with my third with two littles house hunting! Welcome back to South Florida too :) I’m in palm beach now but originally from Miami!
When I think about a lake house in south Florida I think mosquitoes and alligators, I wouldn't get a house with an HOA and would definitely need a big backyard as I value my privacy but I know the market is really tough right now so good luck.
This came at the perfect time! We are also house hunting over on the west coast of Florida. House hunting is such an emotional whiplash and we are underwhelmed and overwhelmed at the same time feeling hopeless that we'll never get anything and having to compromise a bunch. It's so hard! It's just nice to know someone is experiencing the same thing and we can relate ❤
It is in other areas in south Florida though. She’s just showing you one town. Doesn’t apply to all of south Florida. And some houses are even worst and are going for those kind of prices abs need major work.
Having recently bought a house and been house hunting for 3 years… having the owner themselves show is strange. 99% of the time I saw homes no one else was there just us and our agent. Sometimes there was an agent there if it was a big showing but typically empty/no one home.
It's better to have a crummy kitchen and then update it to the way YOU want. One person's taste may not be your taste, the people who did the kitchen didn't cook much so the arrangement is stupid, etc. My mom went with an updated kitchen and the person who designed the kitchen was either a man and just didn't care, or the person didn't cook much. The dishwasher door opens so a person can't stand at the stove and cook, use the microwave, or use the oven. My mom dealt with it because she didn't cook.
I thought the lake house was nice I thought the kitchen was nice to me I would change anything on the house but you guys got bad vibes from the person selling the house or realtor.hopefully you guys find a house you like soon . And your house sales . Have a great day 😊💞
I am surprised how the owners are staging these house for viewing with so much clutter and mess … 😮 the 3rd home with the dining room having plastic bins and mess was giving me anxiety loool but they prob don’t care much I guess they know if it’s guna sell it’s guna sell like this 😂😂😂😂

So great hearing Joe talk about trusting the Lord’s plan towards the end of the video!! Wishing you luck with finding the perfect house ❤
I was going to comment the same thing too! It’s such a beautiful journey seeing joe grow in his faith!
You're the best, not too shy to talk prices. Keeping it real!!❤

I love stuff like this! So exciting!! I hate moving but looking at houses is so much fun!
I love the first house and have the back yard you can lay turf down on top of the pavement for the kids

yup!!!!!
My house has lake view as well and i would not change the lake view not even for a bigger house is such relaxing. I live in the area of Kendall Lakes
The first house is beautiful!
Yep! We really liked that view!
I am living for Kayla in her Miami and country music era 😂😂❤❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m so glad lol

The housing in Fl is cheap compared to AZ. Here in the run down areas it’s up in the $800’s! Best of luck on the house hunting.

Amen Joe! Praying ya'll find the perfect house🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The view of the first house 😍 didn’t show much storage though, is there a basement?
Nope! No basements in Miami!
@@lesvlogsdekalou1610 there’s no basements in all of Florida. Florida sits at sea level

Good morning friends! ❤
Good morning!!
Kayla, make sure you do a quick search on your future neighborhood for any predators!
Woooow!!!! In Toronto ON it’s 800,000 or 1.5millioon X.x

Awe, best wishes on the house hunt! God has the best house for y’all, just wait.
Last house!!!
I'm curious why offer more than they were asking? If they dropped the price I would assume that's because they weren't getting offers
It was like a bidding war contingency like if there’s another offer, we’d be willing to beat their offer by $5k+ up until $565k
HEY KAYLA CONGRATULATIONS

Yea that’s how it was when we were selling our house here! Just the buyers agent and the potential buyers. It’s was really odd in Miami lol
Will you miss the gardening?
I really appreciate your transparency & vulnerability! I love seeing what the market is up to & alot of people dont share price range! GOOD LUCK.

Are there alligators in that lake?? Ahhhh. My brother in law just moved to Florida and alligators everywhere.
I would never ever ever go swimming in it. I always assume there could be gators!
I was wondering as you have lived there your whole life! Have you ever had an alligator come close to you?
