It's a great theme, but goddamn the part specifically at 1:08 stands out so much. I wish a bigger part of the theme was like it

It should’ve been more integrated into the song bc this part alone made me feel bad that we had to kill her. It felt so much more powerful.

Patch 7.1 when they add it as an EX Trial, almost certainly.
I know it's silly, but Phase 2 with the orchestral mixing in with the main theme makes it feel like a few other games like the modern Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Robot Wars games.
That's why I love it tbh

@@nikitapigusov2849 yep, I know. But it’s also like how Zodiark’s battle theme also calls back to the original battle theme of FF1 in certain places.
It's actually Torn From the Heavens. It could be considered one of the main themes from XIV though, it comes up a lot.
If the lyrics from the opening were playing at the point where Lamatyi reawakens Sphene's personality...
The lyrics the exact moment before Sphene's conciousness returns would be "NO MORE RUNNING"
It definitely has a different feel than the more "epic" and dire sounding "final boss" themes of the last two expansions, but different does not mean worse, not by a long shot.

From Endwalker onward these themes have become too segmented to give me chills , like really cannot generate any emotion. I miss the old compositions which were slower and fitting.

@@TheRealAlexFlame It’s the second time they’ve had a scene transition like this, but the third time we’ve had a final trial with a last stand phase. Endsinger being the other scene transition and Zeromus having a similar last stand phase. This one is the least interesting as well. Endsinger, despite being easy, at least had some more movement with the ground markers and Zeromus had Akh Rai’s, segmented area cleaves, and more making 10x more interesting than the ripoff slow area cleaves Queen Eternal has along with its easy to dodge AoE where you need to get inside its hitbox.
Don’t get me wrong, the lead up to the final phase is pretty good, but the fact that we’ve done this twice before and it was arguably done better before as well makes this the weakest trial in DT in my opinion. Hopefully the EX turns things around.
