If Kenny has a career even remotely close to Bens then I feel like the Steelers are just either the luckiest franchise ever or it was fate to get Kenny after Ben

Kenny has just as many 4th quarter come backs as Ben at this age 25. I’m not sure how old Ben was when he started for the Steelers but Kenny is pretty old for his second year so this is promising. He just flicks a switch in the fourth quarter and goes off. The IT factor for sure.

@@Jadeng1234567 oh it’s very impressive especially for how both seasons have started especially last year I ment more in the long term cause Kenny imo is playing good rn but there’s obviously room to improve

I’ve said it since last year, Kenny is our guy. He might not be the best, but hell, he is certainly everything a Steelers qb is. He’s got that winning it factor. He’s unreal in adversity. The future is bright gentlemen, I believe that.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Big Ben is Top-5 all time in wins, in passing yards, guided the Steelers to 5 conference championship games, 3 Super Bowls, 2 Super Bowl wins, and the greatest Super Bowl TD pass (and catch) in history. There's a LONG distance between that resume vs. "18 starts with an 80 career passer rating".

My pro comp for Kenny P coming outta college was Matt Hasselbeck, and that really hasn't changed. It's just funny to me that we go from one QB that wins the hard way, to another QB that wins the hard way. It's the Steeler way.

I can’t stand that low scoring mentality. Like why? You don’t win if you don’t have the most points when the game ends. It’s really infuriating.

    • @adcoxrobert3786

We did have the most points in the game.

@@adcoxrobert3786 they should be going out there trying to score as many points as they can. Not just when they need to. It’s a bad strategy. Then to play it off like it’s by design is just incompetent.

They push their fans limits every week. It seems like they find new ways to win every game. This past week faintly reminded me of last year's Carolina game where the score was basically the same and we also ran for 3 TDs. However, we were in control for most of that game, unlike this one where we crawled back in

There's a lot of good even great QB's historically who cannot be trusted in a 4th quarter comeback scenario. In the future i imagine kids will look at Brett Favre's career stats and proceed to ask why the guy who's all-time int record that will never be surpassed btw is a 3x MVP, SB champ, and HOF. Its because as his opponent you are terrified of leaving time on the clock because you seen him win time and time again that way.

I think its safe to say that's the makeup of the 2023 Steelers. They'll let you take swings at them and dare you to knock them out. But you have to make those shots count. If you can't put them away, they're going to beat you. They're a grindy, gritty team.

The Steelers are like an MMA fighter that gets hit 300 times, but has great cardio and is tough to KO. Like, we're still gonna be here in Round 5. Are you?

Kenny is a very bizarre case. Compared to other Steelers QB’s it gets really weird. Forget Ben. He was a gigantic human being with a canon for an arm. For a giant he was also elusive in the pocket and extremely difficult to bring down. Pickett is none of that. Kenny is throwing a TD every 48 passes over his young career. I didn’t go any further than Brister, but no one is worse. Not even close. Maybe he’ll have the same trajectory of a Neil O’Donnell. I know that will drive Steelers fans crazy, but here’s the facts: Neil started 4 years in the ‘Burgh. He never missed the playoffs, reached to AFCCG’s and one Super Bowl. You won’t take that for Kenny Pickett? Of course you will.

KP has for the most part seemed off this season. I commented that the game looked to big for him after SF and that he seemed to be trying to do too much.
I think that's part of the reason why he does better in the fourth. Because it focuses him to just take what he sees vs trying to dance around for the perfect throw.

Let last week show why dudes like Kenny go in the first round while guys like Brock Purdy are Mr. Irrelevant.
Kenny is hardly the best guy. He's stuck with a horrble coordinator in a junky offense. But give him the ball in the 4th Quarter and he's money.
Brock Purdy is in an extremely friendly offense with lots of talent and playmakers. When times are good, he's good. But when the Niners are missing guys or struggling, he's not good. Borderline bad. The 49ers needed him to step up against the Vikings and responded with TWO horrible interceptions. Guys like that end up journeymen in the league.
I don't want a guy who is good when things are sunny. I want a guy who provides the sun in the storm.

Tomlin is a drama junky, this guy said he goes into every game not looking to score alot of points, this is proof that the slow starts , the big plays givin up on defense its all on the coach and this addiction to always play from behind. It's the coaching had nothing to do with Ben or Kenny, Tomlin and Pittsburgh mindset of loving the dramatics. Slow starts has always been issue in Pittsburgh, it just has been more prevalent under Tomlin he seems to have and addiction to ugly games, which it's wierd the talent on this team any other coach would full throttle down your throat mentality, not underdogs coming from behind under achieving.
