For my first car I got a 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 and it was gorgeous as hell and I just upgraded to an E 450 with the same features this one has except I got it in blue

As a Lexus fan, this car is beautiful and the powertrain seems like it will be reasonably reliable too. These newer Mercs are so much better than the ones from the Daimler-Chrysler era.
You couldn’t have made a truer statement. I have a 2002 C320 estate that is not very exciting to drive and has poor reliability as well as lots of hard plastics. Almost any late model Japanese or Korean car has a better quality interior.
@@sachemrock This is a beautiful car, the interior is unmatched by anything under 100k. The inline 6 is nice too with the mild hybrid system. Mergers with domestic automakers are never a good idea, Government motors (GM) ruined Saab and will likely do the same to Honda.
I do like it this way as it will be shiny all the time without the actual exhaust contaminating the chrome surface. I am driving a Lexus GS 350 and the exhaust blackened the chrome surface, there is no way I can bring back the shine. I have tried many types of cleaner but the black fumes seemed baked into the metal frame. Nobody really cares if the exhaust gas really is coming out thru the chrome plating, is there?

I just ordered one and cannot wait to get my hands on it. During my test-drive, I felt like the new inline 6 engine sounded better and more imposing than the 2020 E450 with the V6 engine. What do you think?
I think that the Genesis G80 3.3T Prestige package with AWD could give this a run for its money since that maxes out in the low $70k range. It has more exterior presence & the interior is equally as beautiful with the ambient lighting & seat pattern designs, the doors, everything. It has that wow factor just like this E-class. I'm suprised Sofyan didn't mention that car at all when mentioning its competition
I hate how they got rid of the two LED DRL strips. That literally signified you had an E class. 3 meant S class which they also got rid of. They all look like an A class which is sad.
If the only way to differentiate the E class is for already-fans on youtube to learn about dots on headlights in the comments section then there’s something seriously wrong with the design.

@@Bu-22 I can. Ever sat in your car with the engine off, for instance at a gas station, and had someone back up until they hit your front bumper? It has happened to me. A couple of presses on the horn is usually enough to let the other driver know that they are getting too close.
Have 2019 E class with identical wood trim, metal controls, and soft touch plastic combination. Problem is that these hard materials tend to create some rattle issues in the door. I had to take the car into the dealership 5 times to get most of the rattles fixed, i.e. they shoved felt pads into the doors around the speakers, etc. Why the latter do no thave soft rubber insulation casings against the hard wood is beyond me. Otherwise, love the car.
$85,000 for a regular E450?! damn Mercedes! Y’all could’ve at least lined the glove compartment or the center console with felt and threw in a heated steering wheel.
Remember subs the E-class will get the same huge update the S-class did for 2022. That’s what Plaza Mercedes in St. Louis told my parents a few weeks ago & they’re waiting to trade their 2019 E-class until then.
The fact that the rear legroom on the E-Class is just one inch more than that on the C-Class is rather puzzling. Honestly, it looked as if you barely fit in the rear seat, Sofyan.

Yes, Mercedes interiors look nice, but it doesn’t take long to see that it’s all looks. Start touching around you’ll find a lot of hard plastics. Interesting that Sofyan didn’t go over the door materials like he does in every other car. I’m willing to bet hard touch plastic was at the bottom of the doors. Also what’s up with Apple CarPlay not being widescreen, like in every other modern car?

@@ajlee6933but it’s not a rolls it’s an E-class. Why add weight on the plastics below the waist. Rather spend the money and weight on the upper doors, grab handles, and stitching at eye level. People want tech and convenience nowadays, not padded bottle holders.
I have a 350 now and am appalled that they started putting 4 bangers in there. Honestly I will be looking more for the AMG A which is around the same price looks way better (like a mini GT 4dr) and has much better performance.
you said it! That's what I actually don't like about the new German interiors. The LED lighting with all the colors. They remind me of crowded, loud, uncomfortable nightclubs. it's kinda offputting. It's what made the difference in the Volvos. they do the same, but use warm white like a modern home. The color LEDs are in the "night light" space above the driver for nighttime visibility on the console like older BMWs.
@@caglioso Just look for a non air suspension model and you'll be fine. IF you do have an air suspension model then just look to aftermarket part brands like Arnotts. They have way better prices and great warranty on parts.
I LOVE this Lunar Blue Metallic color! It always looks amazing on every Benz vehicle 😍🔥🤩🥵🙌🏽! And I love that interior! This is the color combination & wood trim choice I'd get for the E450 I'd get in the future & I'd probably choose either those wheels for it too stand out to be different or a different set of wheels from the different wheel options
Honestly I like the e class but the new one just looks so bad compared to the old one and it’s so expensive that the genesis g80 is leagues better for your money
I traded my 2014 E350 Luxury for 2019 BMW530ex. I liked the Mercedes but when I was ready to trade the reviews pointed me to the BMW. The BMW has a better transmission. The run flat tires hurt the ride. My next vehicle will be an EV vehicle.

Your reviews are excellent. It’s in the details of every nook and cranny where you stand out. If I had a wish list, it would be that instead of 2-3 launch starts, it would be 1 but you would have a get on the highway ramp or passing on a 2 lane highway ( simulated of course). A breaking distance test would be awesome if possible so we can compare the overall ability of the cars you test. About the E450, I completely agree. An E class which looks like a lower tear model is a turn off and not to mention the C class will now have the S class tech leaving the E class outdated… again. At least before, I had a choice of unique styling with the CLS.
Kills me you can get some of these options standard in a Kia but guess the options give people the flexibility to get this car at a price they can afford
I know everyone wants SUV's and crossovers these days, but I'll take a Mercedes sedan any day. Those wheels, not so much. They look okay when you look straight at them, but from an angle they look bad.

I don’t think your tester has the tri-zone climate control and the configurator on Mercedes’ website says the wheels are 19”. Also, check the side of the steering column for the heated steering wheel button.

They do have light dots in the headlight to know which model it is.

2 annoying things about this car are
1. horn is useless when engine's off
2. No full screen Carplay
Maybe the full screen CarPlay would come with a software update

You should always spec the E class (luxury package) with the hood ornament unless it's an AMG.
That switch in the cup holder isn’t to adjust the cup size lol 😂 it’s to remove the cupholder for cleaning

Hard plastic at the bottom on the door is totally okay most driver won't ever touch it and will probably just put a water bottle down there.

That’s why it’s best to get pre owned. Only rich don’t have to worry about depreciation, unless you plan on keeping it for a long time
Which is great for those buying used. Those who buy new will still buy it because they want it so the market opens up for those who want to buy new.

great video thanks! Was looking at the newer E43 for the price I ended up with a 15 E63 I'm still not used the new interior as much as i love the new center screeen its a bit too busy for my taste ...maybe im getting old lol!!

I don’t think your tester has the tri-zone climate control and the configurator on Mercedes’ website says the wheels are 19”. Also, check the side of the steering column for the heated steering wheel button.
