I'm a new subscriber. Nice to have someone as silly as myself to keep me company while I craft.😅 You have great imagination, and it shows in your awesome creations! 🤩Love the story about your Binks and the tree.😻😵💫🎄 Wishing you truly the best of luck with coming up with a good solution for all! I would never ever use a stodgy ole man such as this in my art...however you have done a mighty fine job of making him quite palatable!😅 A beautiful finished piece indeed! Happy crafting!✨️🌺🙋♀️
😂 Thank you so much, I am glad that I can keep you company as you craft and hopefully make you smile while I do. I would normally avoid using such a serious looking guy in my creations which is the exact reason I picked him. I have so many of the Tim Holtz dolls and I tend to use the same ones all the time so it was a fun challenge to use a different one and hopefully the story and little red heart helped to make him a little less serious. Thank you for subscribing, watching and taking the time to comment 😊
Thank you. It was seeing a teabag snippet roll that inspired this one. I still want to make one from teabags but I have a lot of sewing pattern paper so this is a fun way to use some of it up. I hope you find your snippet roll. I am always tucking things away and then either forgetting about them or struggle to remember where I put them 😊
I love how this turned out! That red heart on his chest is fabulous. I love the idea of turning the snippet roll into a tag. Putting the snippet roll out of sewing pattern paper on my list of things to try. 💜💜💜
Thank you. I think the red heart made him a bit less serious looking 😂. I absolutely love the sewing pattern snippet roll and have already made another. Finding new ways to use up sewing pattern paper is always fun as I have so much of it 😊
So fun to have a story about your proper gentleman. Perhaps it's their eighth anniversary and he still brings flowers to his love. I really like your colors. It's just a really fun page I think.
Thank you and yes the idea that its their 8th anniversary fits in perfectly with the story of the page. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment 😊
Foil seems to be a popular idea. I have a whole list of suggestions now thanks to everyone so I am really hoping one works because while I love my Christmas tree keeping Binx safe is the priority. I have no idea what it is in the tree that she can't stop chewing on it. Honestly no matter what else we put in the room or how we try and distract her see makes a beeline to it and starts chewing!
Me too have my crafting area in my living room. My cat does chew on boxes😊 I get them from the store in different thickeners. It is instead of grrass she needs for her stomach. And yes I find small pieces of cardboard all over the place 😂 she has 3 different types boxes on the floor in the living room now 😂 Love her❤ she came to me at my cottage for almost 17 years ago and I took her in🥰 lots of love from arctic Norway 🥰🌺🌸🌼
Thank you for sharing, I always love hearing about other peoples cats. Cats love boxes and we as their people love to make them happy so always keep boxes for them. Right now I have the box my Christmas tree came in in my living because my 3 have been enjoying hiding in it so much. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 😊
This will sound weird but maybe you can use those vegetable tree fence and put it around your christmas tree. You will have to make it for indoor use and to height but when done store in gatage or shed. The cats wont be able to climb it or eat the tree and you can still look at your beautiful tree
I have one friend who hangs her tree from the ceiling. She purchased a tree that, when hung from the ceiling is high enough off the floor to discourage her 6 cats. She also puts those "ho-Ho-Ho" movement activated toys around on the floor. The cats do not like that and tend to stay away.
I love that! She obviously has had cat and tree issues before 😂. I am going to get some of those movement toys because I know I had one by my small Halloween tree that she didn't like and thankfully everyone has now given me a list of other suggestions to try as well so hopefully something works 😊
get a tree of her own, with all cat safe ornaments and hopefully it will keep her away from yours, another thing you can do, is to put foil around the bottom of the your tree, like a skirt, this should deter her from trying to get too close to it. Good idea to make a cover to put over it, when you can't watch her, you want to keep her safe, 😻
I saw aluminum foil was mentioned and it should work at my home when its just me and my hubby I roll out a piece of foil on my couch and recliners on the sitting part, it keeps my dogs off and it won't hurt your kitty fur babies but should keep them away. Good luck. 🎄
Thank you. Foil does seem to be a popular suggestion so I will be giving it ago along with some others and hopefully something works and I get to have my tree and keep my sweet Binx safe. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 😊
I craft in the living room too. I just redirect or put them on the floor when they are getting into what the shouldn't I crochet too and most have learned to leave the yarn alone. I put up a small 3 foot tall tree that is on a 3 foot high cabinet. so far they have left it alone. toss them a catnip toy to distract them.
Thank you for the suggestions. I do normally get up and move her or try and distract her but she is determined to find a way to chew on that tree. Its not even the ornaments she is interested in, she just wants to chew the branches! It must be something that the tree is made of. I cross stitch and while they tend to sit and watch me very carefully they don't try and play with any of my thread or fabric. Thankfully many of you have given me some suggestions so hopefully one of those will give me a solution 😊
Thank you. I think crafting should be fun and I find that the more I enjoy a project the more it all flows together. Thank you for watching and taking time to comment 😊
You could try putting your Christmas tree in "jail." That is, set it in a basket or doll playpen or real playpen/crib that is able to keep the cat away from the tree. The slats may be too wide apart, so you might have to use some chicken wire or netting or even gift wrapping mesh. You can set the tree on a short table to make it more visible. Good luck!
Awesome design. You are so good at these challenges. As for the Christmas tree cat problem. How about making a tree for the cat. Wood tree/ frame/ box for claws and scratching. Dangle fabric or yarn balls for batting. A place for a few treats. When he goes to play in your tree pick him up and put him in his tree. OR, buy a large plant sauce on wheels. Put your tree on that. When you go away, push the tree into a room with a door. Your nails- I really like the gold color and wonder if you are blessed with those great nails. How do you craft and keep them from chipping and breaking? Thanks for all the inspiration and entertainment.
Thank you for the suggestions. Thanks to all of you I know have quite a few things to try so hopefully something works and I get to have my tree and keep my sweet Binx safe. I have been really blessed with strong nails that grow well all through my life. However due to some health issues this year my nails have had some issues and I have struggle to grow them. Thankfully now things have improved and I have a nail care routine with some nourishing creams and treatments I use on them which has really helped. They do sometimes get damaged when I am crafting but for the most part its not an issue 😊
@@belaboocreations2020 Thanks, I’ll keep trying to nourish my nails. I’m certain my general health has made them dry and brittle. I’m not sure I’ll go back to video taping, Arthritis in my fingers isn’t attractive but I still like pretty nails.
Could you leave loads of her toys and treats around the tree so she plays with/eats them and maybe ignores the tree? Love this snippet roll and collage page!
Hi Bell❤ I'm new to your channel, but after watching all your absolute awesomeness and creativity I am a little disappointed. You could have put the left over snippet roll as a simple belly band on the facing page with space for future tags or something else wonderful you've created. Thanks for letting me comment❤❤❤ I am going to go check out your other videos now. Again thank you for your inspiration.
Thank you so much. I did actually end up adding most of the remaining snippet roll as a pocket further in the journal but I did that of camera. I was at first reluctant to use it up as I liked it so much and wanted to hoard it but I am trying to be better at not doing that😂. I also reminded myself that I have a lot of sewing pattern paper and scraps so I can easily make more of them, and have actually done so now. I think I share the snippet roll pocket and the others I added of camera in tomorrows video. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment
I’m new to your channel and it’s been a delight watching! On the fur baby ….How about a wall tree? Cats can’t climb walls, right? I think Amazon Prime has some.
I would try two things. First, I would ignore her and let her do her thing in the tree. Second, I would get a second tree and some distracting things on it....
I love all of the texture on this page. The heart is so sweet and perfect for the smitten gent. 👏🇨🇦👏

Love this one! I have a snippet roll that I made from joining teabags together! Now if I can find where I tucked them away! ❤😂

Maybe a screen around your tree or aluminum foil around the base, like a skirt.

Wow! You really made a story out of this prompt!
Lovely page in your journal and love the snippet tag you made. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you. I have already made more of those snippet rolls because I enjoy them so much and I have a lot of sewing pattern paper to use 😊
Really enjoying this series Bel! Love your projects for the prompts along with the stories that you create around your projects, very fun.
Thank you so much!😊
Loving all the texture - and the idea of using something different for a snippet roll.

It's a great project, but the little red heart is the perfect touch.
Thank you, I think it was just what the serious chap needed 😊

Thank you Susan 😊
Love it
Thank you 😊

Love this snippet roll and collage page!
Thank you. These snippet rolls are now one of my favourite things to make. They are so easy, grungy and effective and a perfect way to use up scraps 😊
I love it! I had the same idea for my flowers.
Thank you! 😊
Lovin’ it !!! Subscribed….thank you……Smiles

I have used fresh ground black pepper to keep cats away from the tree.
Thank you for the suggestion and thank you for watching and taking time to comment😊

Thank you so much for your kind comment and suggestion. I have seen wall trees and if we can't sort out the tree problem that may be an option😊
I would try two things. First, I would ignore her and let her do her thing in the tree. Second, I would get a second tree and some distracting things on it....

My sister has cats and she uses lemon juice. Cats don’t like citrus.
That's true they don't tend to like citrus so thank you for the suggestion 😊
Try putting her biscuits under the tree
Thank you for your suggestion and thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 😊
I’m guessing you just won’t have a tree.
Lots of people have left lots of suggestions so I am hoping one of those will work but if not then no tree this year 😊
