People keep forgetting about empress of light expert drop. Insignia grants you infinite flight and acceleration, combining this with betsy wings or any other wings with ability to hover, makes boots nearly useless.
Acceleration matters more in a boss fight than a dash ability, in my experience. Acceleration is key for precisely manouvering your character, which makes dodging much easier. @@terraSpark902 that’s a completely different scenario than true summoner, but even so, avengers emblem would be better bc of the higher damage increase than avengers,
@dacrystalcreeper7300 False. The critical chance benefit is significant enough to surpass the additional damage benefit from the Avenger emblem even though both the main weapon and minions benefit from it.
Please don't use Life Drain for Moon Lord, it's a pre-mech weapon with low base damage at that point in the game it's going to deal extremely low DPS and make lategame boss fights take extremely long. Firecracker is not a support whip whatsoever and is also not remotely good with Terraprisma in all cases. And Boots should not be recommended at all when Soaring Insignia is just better. The difference in DPS from Vortex Beater and Phantasm is far from "tiny".
The life drain is not for damage purposes, if struggling to survive against the moon lord it’s an option to temporarily increase life regen and keep your health up. The terraprisma is also great with the firecracker whip since the it has the highest base damage of any minion in the game, allowing it to take full advantage of the firecracker’s effect. The boots part I agree with, I should’ve clarified that. And yes, the phantasm has much higher dps than the vortex beater, “tiny” is an exaggeration, my fault there.
@@arnieterraria The problem is that its DPS will be so low that it won't progress the fight in a timely manner, and even then the life regen it gives is not really large since it's only hitting one target at a time, especially since you also have other lategame items giving you increased health regen. Terraprisma deals far less damage per individual hit than Stardust Dragon.
For everybody in the comments section saying that the Master ninja gear is useless it isn't. The only time it's useless is if you're using the betsy wings hover with soaring insignia. But even in that case it still isn't completely useless. In any other case it is very useful. Especially if you're using asphalt and speed boots.
There are some poor tips in this video. First, Lightning boots (or upgrades) doesn't do much in endgame where the mobility is almost always on air and not on the group. The boots only increase ground movement speed, not air. Second, Terraprisma is not good with the Firecracker because the synergy is poor with it. If whipstacking, Terraprisma is the best with the Kaleidoscope, Morning Star and Dark Harvest. Third, Phantasm is a weapon with low base damage, meaning that any type of ranged damage bonuses will highly benefit it, and Holy arrows are not good for that. Holy arrows' stars only deal the highest DPS if the enemy is stationary, which is not going to happen most of the time in endgame. Phantasm is best used with ichor and venom arrows. Fourth, Daybreak does not deal "slightly lower damage" than its counterpart, it has more DPS than the Solar Eruption. Fifth, Master Ninja Gear is not a "essential" accessory for mobility, dashes are optional depending on players' playstyles.
About 75% of the tips he talked about were good. During mid hardmode I swap speed boots for other accessories. (Mainly soaring insignia) Having some soft of dash is amazing. You are completely right about the daybreak, phantasm, and whip stacking.
1) fair point, lighting boots aren’t needed endgame, but they’re still valuable in my eyes 2) the firecracker’s fire damage scales with the damage of the minion it’s with, making it great for whip cycling with the Terraprisma and stardust dragon 3) stars from the holy arrows land quickly and are still effective endgame, ichor and venom arrows are good choices too 4) the daybreak averages 900 dps against the moon lord and the solar eruption averages 1100 dps against the moon lord, and in multi-target situations like invasions the solar eruption does almost double the daybreak’s damage 5) this video is about my recommendations, I think the master ninja gear is essential for everyone endgame, but if someone tries it and dislikes it they obviously don’t have to use it
@@arnieterrariadude the dps meter does not show debuffs daybreak fire debuff stacks and does waay too much damage than you initially thought it did thats why the moonlord closing its eye is a thing it removes the specific debuff the daybreak does so it doesn't make the fight a bit easy

Bro. Stop using Terraspark boosts. Use Amphibian boots. TRUST ME. your mobility through the entire game can be simplified into Amphibian boosts plus bundle of balloons.. then replace the boosts or both with the Golf cart or Gelatinous pillion.. then Soaring insignia plus Besty wings if and only if you're not a tank.
One thing to note about reforging: Some weapons can not receive the best modifiers for their class! This is because some weapons rather have extreme stats that aren't affected by modifiers, or are just not affected by this. The most notable examples in this video are the Daybreak and Solar Eruption for Melee (the best modifier is Goldy/Demonic).
Seems you don't understand neither tanks nor glass cannons) Firstly, master ninja gear is not mandatory to use. Dash and dodge are good for mobility, but by no means are necessary. Also, dodge from ninja gear does not stack with dodge from brain, having both is pointless. Secondly, tanks doesn't need mobility, like at all. You may have either wings or boots that you swap occasionally to get around, and for boss fights you most likely take them down for more defense. So the actual best loadout for melee tank is: - Hallowed mask (melee) - Valhalla knight chest & leggings - Hero shield - paladin shield - berserkers gloves - flesh knuckles - shiny stone - worm scarf - star veil Those combined+ warding gives about 150 defense and insane regen, so basically you can tank almost everything and don't need to dodge at all. Moreover you can just use mount to move. Mage, summoner and ranger "tanks" doesn't exist, you can just build them for better survivability. For glass cannons, you are horribly wrong about boots. The best boots for mobility are actually amphibian boots. Because they provide the same surface speed as others, but also boost vertical speed when jumping and flying, which is huge. Also, magiluminecense is a great accessory to boost mobility, cause it ads both moving speed and acceleration. I'd say fishron wings+amphibian boots+ magiluminecense+swiftness potion+food buff+cake = you will be moving so fast that you don't even need a dash. Early game, sharktooth necklace is also great cause it provides amor piercing. Also, sure you can go for only all dammage+ accs, but its actually not so good. Mages can't live without mana flover based accessories, cause auto mana potions are vital. Summoners usually build more towards minion count than pure damage boost, so i'd said piqmy necklace, papyrus scarab + scroll, Hercules beetle, summoner emblem, + wings, boots and either dash or else for stats. If you know patterns, you don't actually need dash. Also, for boosting stats you're forgetting celestial shell. A great accessory for overall stat improvement, and in most cases would be better than simply damage emblem
Eh, i would go full beetle shell for tank instead, its defense is higher and the damage resistence i feel is better since i wouldn't go around not dodging on higher difficulties
