In the verge of death Gojo was forced to learn Reversed Curse Tecnique to regenerate his body and survive, sometimes under pression is the best condition to learn something. Not only that, but also, he finally could sucesfully reverse Blue into Red, so that was Gojo's first Red ever against Toji, not only that but right after learning he could do Red now, he imediatly tried to mix Blue with Red, making his first Hollow Purple ever(The same he used against Hanami). In that fight Gojo just tested his new moves, thanks to Toji. Toji's beating is what made Gojo so much more powerful, pergect example of 'what doesn't kill you just makes you stronger'. Also, hope you read the comments of last episode explainig more about how Toji was able to break Gojo's Infinity, it's very helpful Lastly, wish you good health!
One subtle thing about the post credit scene, with Geto in blue and Gojo in red. Typically that would symbolize blue=good and red=bad. But in JJK terms Cursed Energy is born from negative emotions and is always shown as blue when being used, while Reverse Cursed Energy is literally the positive reversal of that and is actually shown as Red in Gojo’s technique. So we can see Geto getting slowly swallowed by a deep pool of these negative feelings and Gojo stepping out of them.
Gojo did get stabbed through the head, but the part of his brain that controls cursed energy wasnt harmed, so he healed himself with reverse curse energy, healing such a big part of his brain caused him to enter in this sort of "high" state, similar to being on anesthetics.
7:02 Toji is ridiculously strong, but he was able to cut thru the dragon because of the cursed tool he used. The Split Soul katana, as long as the user is aware and can see the soul of the object it cuts, it can virtually cut thru anything. (I wish they explained these things more in the anime😂)
@@BuKorostearu I sorta agree but I don't know if a normal run of the mill katana without ce imbued into it would be able to withstand his own strength simultaneously cutting through a dragon at that speed without breaking or wearing down.
Toji dying while standing is a testimony of his strength. Makes you wish you could have seen what he can do when his opponent is not freshly enlightened gojo.
The "first" purple we see is one that kills Megumis dad, the "second" one the audience sees is the one at the exchange event from season 1 which was used to save Megumi (and ofc others but its still a pretty cool connection)
The fish was metaphorical, not a reference to her ability to use curses. She's spent her whole life with the expectation that she will serve solely as a replacement for Tengen, she had to reject attachments, follow a planned route, friends and family were to be disgarded. She just wanted to be free, and Geto/Gojo were able to give her a taste of that by treating her to a day where she could do anything she wanted.
I'm glad you're playing close attention. A lot of stuff in season 2 only makes sense if season 1 is fresh in your memory. So many little details to miss if you're not locked in.
Slight s2 spoilers here (nothing too explicit) It’s crazy to go back to season 1, it is literally all just “Geto’s” plan being test run with no problems, the barrier exeriments, mahito giving junpei a technique, having the curses and sorcerers clash, the cursed wombs and the finger bearer curses, yuji eating a cursed object.. etc
Really makes you think that if Geto didn't stop Gojo from killing the guys in the post credit scene GOJO might've been the one with the "kill all non-sorcerers" plan
Sup bro, real fan of the deep analysis in your vids👌👑 Fun fact, the chain Toji attached to the inverted spear of heaven(which saved him from severe damage from Gojo's red )is capable of extending infinitely so long as you don't see the other end
Great reaction man!, I really love your edits in the intros, the are amazing. I don't know How far you are in the patron, but even though I know you don't want yo watch the ops for spoilers, there's something that almost nobody tells everyone who watches them and it's the variations, slight chances in the op that change along with the events of the season, and they are great, no in this arc, but in the next one (ep 6) there are 2 mayor changes in ep 18 i think and the last one of the season if you decide to look those up. One anime where the variations are astonishing is definitely jojos with their ops.😊
Let’s go, Swanii too came back to life! 3:04 That is the most out of the box comparison I have ever heard, but I understand it perfectly lol. 8:53 That “Ohhhhhh!” was satisfying to hear. Not many people are that observant (including me lol I didn’t catch this the first time). 18:36 I think the best or only possible comparison that I have heard is Tachyons. 18:59 Best advertisement for Apple I have ever seen. Also, Gojo got Toji’s blessing (Megumi) while Geto got his curse (weapons thing). The imagery at the end was intentional. Blue is seen as regular cursed energy which is negative, while Red is reversed, so it’s positive. While their conversation was counterintuitive as of yet, Gojo was seen stepping into the red (positive) light while Geto stayed in the blue (negative) one and was being slowly consumed by darkness. You’ll figure it all out by next episode. 21:49 Yeah, for a second I was worried he was about to snap his fingers. Well, at least he was Infinity Stoned and did bring out the purple in the end. xD 23:33 Yeah the thing about Star Plasma Religious Group or whatever is that they can fk off for all we care. Hidden Inventory/Premature Death is SUCH an impactful arc. And just these 3 episodes right from where Toji stabbed Gojo on his first appearance to the end of this arc was pure gold. Shibuya Incident is hype af but this one remains my favourite to the day. So well written! Keep up the good work!
19:10 that cursed is based on a Japanese folklore yokai called Kuchisake-Onna, who asks people if she's beautiful. She cuts you in half if you say "No" and slits your mouth to look like hers if you say "Yes", Toji did the correct thing in coming up with another answer
The star plasma religious group worships tengen as a god. Therefore, they see him merging with a human (an impurity in their eyes) as a cardinal sin. This isn't based on logic, it is based on faith. It is brought up by toji's handler/manager that if tengen loses control because he evolved beyond this point, they might all die. The believer says that it's fine if that happens, showing his absolute faith. The post credit scene has gojo finding the star plasma religious group members revelling at the sight of riko's corpse (aka the mission succeeding). They smile and applaud as gojo is getting riko's body back to give her a proper burial instead of letting her corpse be used by the star plasma group as a show. Gojo asks geto if they should kill them because they are revelling at the sight of a young girl's corpse, geto answers that the higher ups of the religion who hired toji have already left so these are just common believers. Moreover, after what happened the group will be disbanded anyways so there would be no point in killing them (beyond just revenge). The last line from geto is that it's very important that there's a point in killing, especially for a sorcerer. This is related to what geto says to gojo in the first episode, that the strong must protect the weak. The stronger you are, the more you have to be careful of your action to not affect the weak in a bad way, thus to make sure that there is a point in your actions and that you aren't just acting on your emotions.
People love commenting this on reactions to this ep but I guess I'll be _that_ guy as I haven't seen it yet. You should google the honored one line, it hits a lot harder knowing what the quote is from.
About Reversed Curse Technique (RCT), not many sorcerers could master this skill. We have seen Shoko, Gojo and Yuuta (if you remember the scene when Yuuta found Panda, Toge and Maki nearly died he did RCT to save them) able to do it. Anywaaaaay, with you mentioning Olmar I miss rewatching Vinland & watch your discussion 😢
The soundtrack for this Togi vs Geto is ironically called hidden inventory, I recently watched a whole breakdown of the soundtracks of JJK and I can truly say it is Chefs kiss.
This isn’t peak. Ep 9 is peak, no wait ep 15 is peak, nah it’s ep 16, no no ep 17 is PEAK, nah it’s ep 20, actually ep 21. Oh wait, the whole season is a damn mountain range lol 😭
I don’t remember every bit of it but most fish in JJK symbolize death or tragedy in some capacity (i think its mainly a death thing) but I’ll have to go do more research on them and get back to you! They’re very present in openings and around everyone given the horror and pain of being a sorcerer But yeah Riko was just special bc Tengen could merge with her to renew his technique, she didn’t have any more cursed energy than the average non sorcerer or anything
You see,as I said it before but Toji,Megumi's dad,is so bad at remembering name😂😂he knows he has a son and a daughter,he can't remember their names If someone asks how is "your son" he would answer,if we say how is Megumi,he says "who was that again?"😂😂
