Unforseen consequences. We had all thought when it had been repeated throughout Half Life 2's story that it meant Eli would die. However Alyx's ending changes it.
G-Man assists Alyx in changing her future by killing the Advisor and letting her dad go free to live before it happens. But because of this, Alyx is hired by G-Man while replacing Gordon prior contract with him.
Think of it this way: Half-Life 1 happens, Half-Life Alyx happens, then after that final scene with Alyx she's sent back wherever else to continue into the events of Half-Life 2 with her memory erased. It continues into episode 2 where G-Man continues to remind Alyx of unforseen consequences, the deal she already made with G-Man prior. Eventually Eli dies, Alyx cries over her dad's body, Episode 2 credits roll while Gordon knocks out. While doing so, that scene where the Advisor is wound back in time from killing Eli happens, Eli lives, Alyx disappears, then the post credits scene happens through the eyes of Gordon.

@@Nykoo_- I know this was 10 months ago but at 2:28:55 I also had a bit of trouble with this during my blind playthrough, my friends told me to make the pipe hit the left planks hit the bridge with the momentum but it didn't work and I soon realized my friends are idiots and I did it myself.

@@vwhyv6462 i had no other experience with any of the half-life games but either way this was the best vr game I've played so I would say the game is worth it whether you've played half life or not.

Fun fact, if you look to the left when you switch to Gordon’s perspective, you can see Gman hanging out on the walk ways
as much as i love pvc's streams watching how he skimmed/rushed through this game was pretty painful (with his constant teleporting, rushing through scenes and not listening to anything anybody in the game says). Seemed like he just wanted to get it over with and didnt explore the game world at all.

Honestly I played this game and while I did look for Easter eggs and stuff I still felt the need to skim through some stuff that felt uneeded otherwise the game would be too boring for me, I still get what you mean though.

no, it was legitimately bugged, it's a known issue. It happened in my playthrough too. You can fix it by switching the gun to the other hand in the settings though, which is what felix did.
