I was kinda worried while watching her sing this song again 'cause yeah...they said it might damage her voice but seeing her hit that high notes again made me feel relieved. She's still the best and forever will be.
Yes she's known for her crow voice which is like a mix of head and chest voice but more on the head. Belting those notes is risky because she may crack live but won't necessarily damage her voice unless she overuses it because her throat/vocal chords have already adapted to her type of voice. Every singer experiences voice strain but we try to minimize using different/personal techniques and knowing she's a professional singer, she knows what to do and not to do. But hearing those high notes again is satisfying hahaha.

Three octaves would be a distance 18 times greater than what is actually written, not to mention physically impossible for someone to start at one of their highest notes and basically double their entire range.
From what i have heard, it was her doctor's advice to not sing them because there was a risk she could damage her vocal cords but either way, she slays

Yea, she stopped singing in falsetto the entire song, and also fixed a bit of her technique. It's amazing 10 years later
