Gonna be honest.
As an 80s kid, when i finally reached 16 yrs old and able to get my driver's license road test, this movie helped me alot.
Especially the test scene where the kid isnt allowed spill from the cup.
I always atop the car as so smoothly, u barrly feel the jerking of the stop and when i let go of the break.
My tester, at the time, asked me if this was first time taking the test?
I said yes.
She was a bit shocked, cause i drove as if i knew what the hell i was doing; especially how smooth my start and stops were. Asked who taught me that?
I told her about the movie scene and how i got influenced by it.
The tester smiled and said, " that tester was insane, but if helped you, i might have to recommend it to my others as well 😂"
Such great movies back then.

@@SofiUk0319 I remember watching this movie because of Corey Haim he was so damn gorgeous
Every boy in the 80’s wants to be Corey Haim and the girls wants to be Mercedes 😂
Les: Dad, I have to ask you for a favor and you can say NO but I will never ever ask for another thing as long as I live.
Dad: Les, you know that's a lie.

License to drive was filmed in 1987 and released on July 6 1988
“Ok ok let’s give her a CRUISE…!” Always cracked me up. Gotta hand it to the dad for at least trying to be cool.
I just love it how Les tries to reason with his father that he would have done the exact same thing
Rip Corey Haim!
Howard Hesseman RIP in peace also.
