Great lesson! So thankful for this that I had to order a tee shirt! Oh Well, and Soul Shine are getting "hard wired" into my repertoire, and I love it. Thanks Again!
I've been running behind on your lessons, Greg, but I'm caught up now. This is a phenomenal tutorial. I tried this before but I couldn't get the rhythm properly. This has clarified it perfectly. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you! It's a tricky one to play correctly. I'm. not sure what I used to play back in the 90's when I played it live, but it definitely wasn't right 😂
I had previously learned this song on guitar (not Peter Green's awesome solo) from a YT lesson , and it was the same thing that you are teaching in this lesson. Whoopee, I have a leg up. Cheers
Thanks Greg I like the early Peter Green line up, this one has always been one of my favourite bass riffs, but I've never known how to play it properly, now I can learn it.
Thanks for the lesson Greg. I’d be interested in seeing the Part 2 you talk about at the beginning. Some tricky timing in here. Gotta admit, I relied mostly on the tab and ear to navigate, but the notation is helping decipher the timing of some of those runs. Sent an email with a little more detail.
Great Merle, glad you like it. Part 2 is completely different but well worth checking out. Top marks on persisting with the notation. I've answered your email. Cheers
This lesson is great!!! I play guitar and learned this song a couple years ago. I started learning bass, 5 string bass about 6 months ago. I’m a bass “picker”learning Motörhead and Ramones. Your fast bass lesson here is great on bass for attack and speed with a pick. I’m going to learn your lesson here and put it on my looper to play guitar over. Then I’ll do another loop track with guitar and practice bass over it. It should really help my Guitar and Bass playing. Thanks
Hi Greg, fabulous lesson, I love this too!! The live video of Peter Green playing this is so funny when Peter nearly bursts out laughing while voicing the lyrics...”and my legs are thin...” Its a great song to chose for an early example of British Blues. Brilliant bass line, but true as you state, to play live it’s a tadge tricky especially with the rhythm and speed, but great to play!! Funny enough, I’ve heard this played a few times with bands on the circuit and everyone, including myself, only play Part 1. Extending part one into a made up part two is a licence for a free time jam throwing in a few licks from part one, seemed to work. Great lesson really enjoyed it, tripped me down memory lane 😁 Hope your gig went well as I’m sure it did👍 Thank you. Keep Groovin Bry
Cheers Bryn, I’ve made a RUclips ‘play-through video’ with the original track which I publish tomorrow I think. That was fun! Such good stuff in the Peter Green era. Had a really great string of dates in France thanks, along with some fantastic food and vino of course!
Great lesson. How about a note for note lesson on the classic Need Your Love So Bad and your the man to do it accurately, Greg. Also thanks for pointing out Blues Bass Covers channel, uncomplicated and nice playing.
Perfect timing. I just started to learn that one. And the original Black Magic Women. Any plans for a lesson for that too? Or any other old Fleetwood Mac? The Blue Horizon Years were great.
Great that the timing was good. I've made a lesson on the Black Magic Woman bass line and I'm about to release my Birth Of British Blues course where I feature more of the Peter Green Fleetwood Mac tunes. ruclips.net/video/5uyro1t_vks/видео.html

@@GregsBassShed I saw Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac supported by Chicken Shack in 1969 or 70.

So happy that the lesson has helped you out Kerry and good that you can use this bass line to help with your pick work. Have fun with it!

Great suggestion! You're not the first to ask for this so it's high up on the list! Another one of my favourites too! Thanks man!
Thanks very much for this lesson. I have wanted to learn this song for a long time.
You're very welcome Les!
Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac is the best version #nevaaskip
