@@nonononitononito1176 actually this is not ecological, you need more paper than Japanese style and here the paper is plasticized so you can't recycle it. Japanese style need less paper, in the videos that I saw they use a recyclable paper and they don't use a lot of tapes.
user of youtube they never used tape, I think that’s the point. Back in the Victorian times, take wasn’t a thing, that’s probably why they used ribbon and tied a bow but now a days that’s just how a present is supposed to look like lol paper and a bow
Just watched the Japanese gift wrapping video, it's so cool that both cultures share a similar gift wrapping philosophy despite developing independently of one another.
aka wrap something the most typical way but without sticky tape. Use ribbon instead. (huh i wonder if that's why there is ribbon, because there use to be no sticky tape.)
Where do you find stiff wrapping paper like that? It seems like it would be a lot easier to put tension on it without any ripping since it's so much thicker. :)
you'd be surprised. i use a close aproximation of this method but with that same tension and modern paper holds up prety well. you just have to make sure you're pull along a wider area to spread out the force.
You can find thicker quality paper on Amazon and Hallmark stores. It is more expensive but I find it easier to work with and feel it makes the presentation a little more special
@@nonononitononito1176 I see you in every comment. I think you are the girl wrapping this gift 😂😂😂. Friendly reminder, this is not ecological and let's be objective, the knot was so ugly and simple...
Hmm I had no idea i was wrapping “the Victorian way” all along my whole life! lol You learn something everyday. Even if it’s something you already knew how to do! 😊
Cute but the Japanese lady was faster and cuter. Also what was up with the top piece just sticking up at the end? I thought she was gonna put a bow or something.
Wow! No tape at all, and she didn't need someone else to help her tie the knot. That was so amazing. I thought she was going to make a bow, but she made a handle. That was totally unexpected. 😎👍🏻👏🥇
I think that's rather sophisticated. I couldn't do the Japanese way like other are suggesting is better too hard. But I might be able to do this. I wonder how many others actually wrap presents well anymore? I like that it doesn't use sticky tape.
This comment section gave me a headache. People arguing over Japanese vs Victorian style? Wth. To be honest, most of the videos people see about the Japanese style are the common ones(done by chain stores), not the elegant/luxurious methods with intricate origami wrappings, so comparing them(the 40 seconds Japanese wrapping and the Victorian) it’s not logical to begin with.
The fact that everyone's here after the Japanese gift wrapping video
Not me I was watching fashion history and then this one appears to my recommendation
@@haileygibbons1122 wtf
Loooool how do you know 🤯
How do you know HAHA
Me and I am just thinking till now how many Japanese gift were wrapped in this one wrapping video lmao🤣
The Japanese lady has already wrapped 14 gifts
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Quantity is not quality.
@@soniaslater8909 I think japanese one is better
@@end3990 Thats not my problem.
@@soniaslater8909 K bada-bing-bada-bung alright
I was a bit disappointed by the simple knot on top. I was hoping for a nice bow
It's useful and not the normal bow ;)
Me too!
All of this is useless BS.
People would shred that cover and throw it away in the first 5 seconds, what matters is the inside
Yeah, I agree.
Me too
after watching the japanese wrapping video, i am not impressed lol
Lol this is also the way I came here haha
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I third that 😂😂😂😂
omg same I laughed lol
The impressive part is there’s no tape used, but yeah this was painful to watch
Omg me too i came here after watching the japanese way
not using tape, this is old style wrapping. Impressed!
Nobody ever taught me how to wrap gift. But I always wrap gifts like this instinctively
Show off
They don’t use tape
I don't think so because they don't use tape.
Without tape? I think not
*Nah,the japanese way is better*
but this is tape free
But the japanese way need's lots of adhesive tape, this way is more ecological ;)
Lol What Japanese way are these people watching that uses lots of tape? I watched the one that uses no tape and no ribbon, just folding 😂🤣😂
Olive Grove Japanese style is also tape free and doesn’t take an eternity

We use tape instead of string but yes this is the "normal" method otherwise.
If you can do it that nicely, you`re welcome to wrap my presents this year! ;)
@@Astuga i hve wrapped that nicely but never without tape or that kind of paper. I can hear the creases.
If my wrapping skills were like this womans id be more generous. Fortunately im not as good 😂

When she was wrapping I could hear the turtles crying
The fact that the ribbon isnt straight in the front bothered me very much
Oh gosh that last knot on top was soooo unsatisfying to look at I'm so upset
The sounds.... are... so... relaxing....

Fuzzymoon Beam yeah isn’t that funny? But now we have tape and we still need to add a ribbon hahah what a waste
Imagine being asked to be recorded while you gift wrap

It doesn't have to be wrapping paper. Any decorative paper will do. Hell I've used scraps of wallpaper and old shopping bags.
That wrapping must be expensive
@@AudoricArt they didnt have scotch tape back then which pretty much sucks
Japanese wrapping left you unimpressed with this one lol 😂
Omg no tape so cool!
Wow! What a brilliant job! I found this meditative and relaxing. So well done!
Lovely. The folding and holding plus the ribbon technique is quite well done.
Wow!!!! Never in a million years could I do that!!!!! GREAT job!!!
All this work for a dang knot on top? I want a bow if I'm gonna do all this mess.
Less its better than more...anda its useful anda ecological ;)

No scotch tape, I'm impressed!
Wow 🤩
No tape:)
Beautiful work
The time it took them to wrap one, I could have wrapped 4 gifts.
Senza nastro adesivo! Bravissima!
tapeless wrapping, good
Well what do you know, I’m apparently Victorian!
You don't use tape?
I love the sound of the paper hahaha
Isn’t this like how everybody else wraps a present but instead this is slower and neater??
I like how when you open this gift the paper will be easy fall away. Untie the ribbon and voila!
Well damn, that Vicky girl sure is talented.
I can feel the tension from the screen

almost 3 minutes that Japanese lady from Japanese Packaging video wouldve already packed 30ish boxes already
Very pretty & no tape.
American way....tape on each end, tape in the middle....stab a walmart bow in it, stick a cheap walmart name tag on it..done😅
Victorian wrapping - uses less wrapping paper but more tape.
Japanese wrapping - uses more wrapping paper but less tape.
Very good.
Watching that Japanese video really opened up a wormhole
👍très joli, bravo
Me as customer: can i take a nap while you wraping my gift 😪
What makes this a Victorian? The knot?
e no tape
I was waiting for the nice bow or a floral knot on the top... But it turned out like a school kid did.. 😓
It was so you could carry the package.
Finnalyyyy after dr. Hollie berry health examination, i found another thing that make me tingles..gift wrapping video 😂
This Base is ORIGAMI.
I would call this the traditional way hehe
It's original and useful. Thanks.
Thats how i wrapped gifts all my life. And i just saw the Japanese one.
It all makes sense to me now!
Is nobody going to comment on how weird it would be to have a customer ask to record you gift wrapping for them?? Lol
I liked the grip of that girl
I just clapt at my screen it was that good.
after watching 30sec japanase packaging this video look so boring😂😂😂
Woun't even need to rip it open, just take off the ribbing and the whole thing will pop off haha.
Dark Howler unravel right before your eyes 😂😂😂
Any how, this video is perfect for asmr besides the background music.
okay but why the fuck did youtube recommend this to me six years after it was uploaded and why did I watch it?
What paper is she using
Probably the knot in the top is for hanging the gift in the tree lime during the victorian era 🤷♀️
It's probably for carrying it around 😆
now i wanna watch the unpacking videos, comon youtube
What kind of a paper is this
Very good
We always wrap our pressies
Ike this.
