Thanks for a great series. The top ranking might not prove a surprise but the distance in profitability does. Curious what is up next. Big ambitions for me is an intensive short term game. You do not start over 10 times like other games. For me it goes now at least 3 months on the shelves till a trigger brings me back to it.

nice series, thx for last summary screen
idea for the next test if you are interested: customers per hour (all 24 hours test) for each day of the week for each type of business - just to know when its best to keep what store open/closed, maybe min max how many counters should be with employees and how many should be kept empty (e.g. if max customers per hour is less than 30 from 6am to 11 am for business of type A, then need to have only 1 employee at the counter and can have otger 2 counters empty)
idea 2 for next series of testing: same as this series, but with offices - with/without marketing - any diff if law firm, web dev or graphic design - optimal hours (like is there any customers at all on Saturdays/Sundays) etc

Thank you this was very interesting !
As for me I go for what will be more profitable, I'm more a minmaxer than a role player.
So I'll keep the low traffic venues for food related shops because it doesn't seem to matter they're always full. No need even to add any marketing.
Then I'll just use the demand to guide me but if I have a great M1 location I'll save it for when I have demand for clothing or electronics.
I haven't found haidresser to be that profitable but then again I did that in garment and it's not possible to push prices too high there so with all the salaries required it's not that great.
Thanks to your videos I might give it another go as soon as I can get a new Midtown spot.

You're welcome! Thank you for watching :) I like role playing somewhat more but the game doesn't facilitate it as well as I'd like unfortunately but that's ok because it's still fun :)

If you're looking for more ideas of videos on this game what about one to find out how much we can push prices per neighborhood before the customers refuse to pay ?
It changed a lot in 0.5 after the bug fix and I'm lost.
In very early versions I had my % figured out but after all the changes they're not applicable anymore and I feel that's something that's very useful to know.
It would be great to have something like :
In garment you can push 15% over the base price before people complain, in Hell's kitchen it's 20% and so on and so forth.
It's not easy to do because if you push the prices when you have competition they get the lowest market price and then it becomes harder to know if customers are fewer because the prices were too high or because the competition was cheaper. But with your liquor monopoly that's something you should be able to find out, I don't think the item type matters it's a flat % per neighborhood ... or am I wrong ?

I think it might be a flat percent but I'm not 100% sure, could be worth testing out in the future!

I'm curious if the demand for Midtown on any of those starts causes any fluctuation in expectancy. I mean I'm sure it would but I'm more curious about how much fluctuation in expectancy. Like if hair care products at the time of your testing were in very high demand and maybe when you tested the gift shop the gifts were in very low demand.

Every business in this case has full 100% demand prior to each testing phase. Achieved by buying out all businesses and renting all retail locations until there were no retail businesses at all in Midtown. That's why all my starts end up being on day 10-12 because I claimed everything then waited for demand to settle at 100%
