    Looks great. But what was the point of using a tracing template to do the stippling? Why not just poke directly into the wood?

      Thanks. In fact it was more about transferring the outline of the relief onto the wood than doing the stippling.

    I enjoyed watching this, very skilled and accurate workmanship. Can you tell me the brand of gouges you use?

      Thank you. For this relief carving I've used small gouges for linocut from Pfeil.

      @@henrylenck7242 Thank you I shall order some of those gouges and attempt to emulate your workmanship. I will obviously need to practice on off cuts of timber before attempting a violin peg box. Do you design your own carving patterns?
