The state government is the most important element in solving problems that affect citizens. Unfortunately, many people remain ignorant, often prioritizing tribalism without first understanding the real issues at hand. State governors can take proactive measures by building silos to store food and purchasing agricultural tools, which they can rent out to farmers at subsidized rates. This would facilitate easier land cultivation and crop production.
Currently, many people in local governments do not even know who their counselors are, let alone what their responsibilities entail. It is essential that we hold our state governors accountable; only then will we see meaningful changes.
God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬 and God bless Africa. Shalom!

@tabletwo1 Yes, the governors need to do more, but the presidency needs to set a federal framework it is not enough to just allocate money and ask citizens to hold governors responsible. The presidency needs to create a system where states can work together for the benefit of all. Not all states need to be like lagos and concentrateon vat. Some states can produce food and feed the nation. Some states can serve as export hubs, and some states can concentrate on financial services and power generation. That is how you build a nation. The everyone for himself style that tinubu is bringing is not the right part, in my opinion,

@President does not have the power to dictate to state how to run their states, he can only encourage them and talk about where their focus should be. The citizens of those states are the one who should put pressure on their states governor. I think with money going directly to local governments now, people should be able to see improvements in their various local govt. in the past majority of the money allocated to their states and local govt are spent on the states capital to cater to the elites, but we should see changes. For example if my local govt can get 300m every month, it will go a long way instead of 20m paltry sum been given to my local govt from the state governors

@@AhmedAli-wo1qyAre you aware that we are running a federal system where the Governor have executive powers to innovate and make bills meant to develop their state to the State House of Assembly to become a Byelaw?
Why do we vote governors? Do they have a vision to develop their states? Do they know the areas where the State have Competitive Advantage over the other? Do they know the culture of their people? Do they understand the kind of infrastructure required to harness those areas of competitive advantages? Or do we voted numbskulls?
Why do you blame the President for what he’s not supposed to do? Why is Lagos your headache? Lagos took advantage of their location and water since they know they did not have land for farming.
What has the Northern Governors invested to Cattle rearing for meat production, hides &Skin for leathers, horns and horn for export, milk production from cattle and yoghurt from milk and cheese from spoiled yoghurt? Are the Northern Governors governors dumbs since all these years. Have they mechanized farming, what of processing of food and juice from farming?
Are you also aware each governor has the right to travel abroad to seek foreign investors as Lagos usually does? What’s wrong with Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Edo and the rest.
Is flyovers development? Does all state’s require it?

    3) is governor responsible for fuel price hike?
    4) is governor responsible for insecurity?

Now from the federal allocation Governor's receive. If they pay all state workers and pensioners. How much is left for significant development? These are things we should think about before blaming Governors

That's a great question! First, we need to recognize that road construction and farming are two major sectors that employ a significant number of people. Farming involves both skilled and unskilled labor, along with logistics related to transporting and marketing finished products and raw materials to their final destinations. Additionally, some middlemen and byproducts cater to other sectors of the country’s economy.
These factors emphasize the benefits these two sectors can generate, rather than focusing on tribalism. It doesn't matter whether it’s Igbo, Yoruba, or Hausa-what truly matters is how each state manages its resources. The federal allocations, along with internal revenue, can be sufficient if properly managed. Good management of state revenue can lead to greater benefits for everyone.

The President have good reasons to serve ..sometime I wonder what d governors are doing for grassroots development...u have the land ...u have the revenue...u are autonomous chiefs of your individual state...why can't each state have state farms to reduce hunger and control food security. Sikena..lobatan ...dollars will fall like anything....the main issues farmers are complaining of is insecurities..yes if their is a state farms the state chiefs of staff (Governors) will be force to provide statehood security within their states and it will be interwoven...please proof to us u are Governors plz ...the main project Governors are doing is road road road chai ,in this century so shameful if we put all effort on road when shall it be the turn for others development...yooo...anytime I see Governors commissioning road and smiles..i always say really waoo,i felt bad for my people in nigeria ...this access road within state is a work of municipality in overseas and they see it as responsibility to citizen not achievement ...nija God will help us

Buhari decentralised ports, rails and electricity, pls do research, read and update yourself, onne port is working today, ask Akwa ibom government how they started an Airline and airport but no seaports, Ask Ondo state why they are still slow in building a seaport despite having the longest sea coast in the country.
Lagos has built Lekki deep seaport in collab with the Chinese, they are trying to build another in Epe, they launched two metro rail lines in 2 years 😂
You guys need to wake up and get your governors to work, it’s sad how oh just force fake narratives, how long has he been president that he would give monopoly of ports to Lagos? Aren’t you seeing refineries in PH and Warri?
