  • With grateful thanks to Paul Francis who alerted me to the departure of this special train. This takes me back many years to when I was also involved with such a train.

    Picture perfect and the hedge is its own star. I thought it was a model railway from the display picture which is what brought me here.

    Oh for a Crompton on the Weymouth tramway. But, if we cant have that, that was a lovely video of 'real railwaying'.

    Hi Mike, nice video...The man you spoke to on the bridge was no other than Stogumber and Crowcombe Heathfield Stationmaster Phil Hall..an avid Diesel fan... Btw .the chap on the platform in a open blue coat with the token was the Second man on D6566.... Steve.😊

    Hi Mike , Nice Catch that one, Never really sure on Timing’s , The chap you were talking to in the video,Was correct there have been other workings today mostly Empty stock movements from Minehead to Bishops, The class 09 Returned to Williton without the 33 .

    Well done Mike for staying on the bridge in the cold so long. That engine had a very distinctive ‘rattle’! I liked the way the signalman came out of the box to wave his green flag!
    Can I ask you what is the significance of the white quadrant below the stop signal on the other platform? Thanks!

      I believe its to make the signal stand out from the background colourings..
