    I have had my PIC for 2 years and couldn't cook without it. My favorite feature is the ability to cook for a specific amount of time and it cuts off. I don't know how many pots I have burned up because I left the kitchen and forgot about them. That's what getting old can do for you. I highly recommend it for anyone who has a memory problem. It may keep you from burning down the house!!! The precise cooking temperature is also great. I don't burn my pudding any more.
    The PIC and the Nuwave oven are in constant use in our kitchen. Whether it is cooking a chicken from frozen to perfect or reheating that chicken another day, it will taste like it was just taken from the oven. A pork tenderloin in the Nuwave is wonderful and done in such a short time. Shake and bake dishes come out crispy and perfect. Packaged, frozen french fries and other items like them cook perfectly.
    I don't own stock in the company and don't get paid to advertise...they are just great products when you take the time to learn how to use them. My kitchen would not produce great food without them.

      +Barbara Reed Great post and thank you. I've been looking at induction cookware for years, and just placed an order for a NuWave. I've several generations-old cast iron skillets and griddles that should work beautifully.

    I just recieved mine today, works flawless! I opted out of the free cookware because I already own a great set of seasoned irons. Im 40 years old and I remember my parents using these pans when I was a child. Cant beat that reliability in my book. By the way great video.

    Great Video as always! I wouldnt cook with a teflon pan though. Especially at that heat because it gases off into your food,

    we got ours about 3 -4 weeks ago, and my wife has only had our glass top stove on only once since. and she cooks 2 meals every day. If I knew she would love it this much he would have had them a long time ago. I am cooking a corned beef now to surprise her and did not believe if only took 10min to come to a boil with a 2.8 lb. brisket covered with water. And if I screw it up she will do her magic when she gets home from work.

      +Sonia Brocard I'm gonna buy one of these because we also have a glass top stove. My wife loves it because its easy to clean, BUT you can't use cast iron on a glass top, and it takes forever to cook things in a regular pan. I want it for searing steaks, but I ALSO want it for making Texas style chicken fried steak. You need a strong 375º for that otherwise your meat turns out greasy.

    Just got mine last week, had a chip in my BBQ griddle, they are sending me a replacement, I am still using the chipped one. So far I am cooking up a storm and I Love it, I also have the nuwave oven and I love it too. Very impressed with the quality of the pans, wish I could have afforded the entire set.

    induction is some fancy technology, i watch a few blacksmithing videos and some guys have induction forges that can heat steel to 2200 degrees yet the coil stays cool enough to touch. pretty amazing stuff

    No that's right...it has to be a metal pan...and as I found out it can't be a thin pan...it will warp..but with the right pan it works great...I made some smores cookies with it the other day...video to follow...and it worked great for that..

    I used to work in a casting factory that used induction coils to melt the metal. If you put enough current and cycle it at a high enough frequency, you can melt a 100 pound hunk of metal in about 30 seconds. I will have to do a video on how induction heating works...get your popcorn ready, it's gonna be a must see!....lol

    I really dig my PIC. when the battle axe is pmssing all over everything I can stay at the office and still cook like a mad man with my 3 pic's , nuwave oven, and my weber gas grill I can do anything and everything. Steaks, chops, various meats and cheeses all prepared to perfection. S&H is up there but its not unreasonable if you understand that nothing is free. I ordered all the goodies, the grill, pots, griddle, etc. its great I cook skewers right next to my easy chair watching sports.

    Same story. Ordered, confirmed what I was getting and cost billed to credit card. Received PIC's but NO cookware. Now they want another $140 for cookware. For me to return PIC's, it will cost me $100. Some return policy!! They won't get another dime out of me and I am trying to prevent others from getting scamed like we did.

  • @saltyshellback
    @saltyshellback 12 лет назад

    Not exactly sure how it works, but the name suggests that it uses electromagnetics to stimulate the pan and heats it up that way. If it is electromagnetic, it will not heat up unless metal is near. Does it get hot without a pan on it?

    I would get the NuWave induction cook top but NOT the green pan. It sticks at high heat,..that T-bone would have been much better off with a cast iron pan.
    Notice the steak did not reach it's full brown char? that's because the green pan doesn't retain heat very well. A good steak has to be nice & brown

      Right you are on the Green Pans. They are great for a few uses and then they lose their non-stick properties even with the greatest of care. However, there is now available a Nu-Wave ceramic set sold most everywhere including the larger Walmarts for about $100 which includes four red-ceramic pans with lids. I have used these for over a year and they are excellent.

    • @MikiSunshine
      @MikiSunshine 10 лет назад

      Yup, mine is costing about $200 but I'm paying for the convenience of having it shipped, the upgrade to the PIC2, the larger pan, and the extra shipping for the cookware. Well worth it to me for the cookware alone as they are incredibly well made and I can't find comparative cookware for under $150. You don't HAVE to buy it from their site, as you can always go to Walmart, though I refuse to purchase anything from that store until they change some of their Policies towards employees. There's also Best Buy. I'm very pleased with mine. Going to make some nice thick pork chops today. Start them on the induction cooktop and finish them off in the oven. Nice to have pans that can do that. Btw, there's no interest charges if you choose their payment plan.

    Noel, I just got mine last week and I am not impressed... The small white ring that is outside of were it says Nuwave is the only space that gets heated. That is about a 5 inch circle. They claim on their infomercial that it can boil water in 90 secs. I took the pan that came with the unit an put 1 inch of water in it. It never came to a full boil... I don't think that I will return it simply because it probably wouldn't be worth sending it back.

      +Alex Delgado honestly to make a great steak you need to know the thickness of the steak and how you prefer it as in rare, med rare, med, done, well done. but in my opinion a great steak is 1 inch thickness high heat cook without moving it for 1 min each side for rare and add 15 sec per side for Med rare and so on for how you like your steak cooked
