@@sillybiscuit9290 no, they showed you in the video. But if you pound it over and over until it's a goo it's now pounded sticky rice. You can cook it like a pancake and dip it in honey :D

Awful! I even used a little more water than they showed and the rice still came out dry and crunchy. Also, if you cover your rice with a bowl like this, the starch from the rice covers the bottom of your microwave, so thanks for that too!
Yes, it is not the authentic way. I just want to share if you don't have bamboo steamer. You can cook with Microwave. A lot of Thai people are doing this. Please don't judge before you try. Thank you

Did you soak sticky rice in the hot water before putting it in the microwave? I did this way all the time. Never had any problems.
