Agreed, even the larger baby would still spend a significant time clinging and nursing, by human standards. But yes the newborn would be 24/7 clinging to mom in constant contact til 3-4 mos.
At least he set it down on a "cloth mother" ie teddy to cling to (tho the teddy bear is too small and should be bigger than monkey, it at least simulates some maternal security by providing something for the limbs to wrap around and hands/feet to grip). Without something to cling to 24/7 they basically think they are dying and go permanently insane within days.
This shows me he at least has the most basic knowledge about its needs, and that he cares about it feeling safe/secure. Which 99% more than I have seen with people on YT keeping newborn macaques. Half channels intentionally withhold any simulation of maternal security because their true purpose is to appeal to zoosadists. The other half treat them literally like human infants, which while it sounds like an abundance of affection for an animal, is way to *little* affection for a monkey, who need way more constant clinging contact than the neediest human preemie, just to avoid psychosis. Also those ones will use blanket to swaddle monkeys instead of rolling it up into a bulk they can be placed on top of to cling too.
But yea, even if you raised it perfectly like a mother macaque, ie kept a scraf around your torso for it to cling to 24/7 when you shower, shit and sleep, I believe you really could fulfill its needs as an infant and probably could even with very attentive use of a "cloth mother". The problem is you can never fulfill its needs after infancy, and we rob the adult monkey it would've become from having a natural life with troop, mating, children, travel, etc. A human can simulate monkeys infancy if they're willing to put in the effort, but we cannot simulate further stages of life.
Also he is one of 3 in hundreds of owners that when he lifts it here he actually holds it correctly plaching it against his body facing him, he never holds it out.
And the fact it does not suck its thumb at all is a huge sign of him doing it right. That means it feels secure similar to in natural condition. They never suck thumb in nature, but unlike in uumans where its just habit, in these monkeys it's a sign of start of captivity psychosis. It is extremely rare to find any pet macaque esp a newborn, that doesn't constantly suck its thumb or hand. For it to not suck its fingers *is a sign of excellent simulation of maternal security.*.
So yea, it's unfortunate it isn't with mom, but I suspect this newborn monkey has won the lottery of trafficked newborn monkeys.

There are a million of these things. Those people could care less about what you just read. They destroy their crops to feed their families. Humans come first over these things so doesn’t matter that we “took” their land. Humans are alpha and when they keep them from feeding their families they will do things like this. Plus they are extremely poor so having you watch their channels 24/6 makes them what more money than they could ever have imagined.

In the wild the Mother of that infant would NEVER not be holding her baby AT THAT AGE. What a tragedy -- loss of mother at too young of age. If it came from poaching the mother off, that is a serious tragedy of the imbecileness of the human being. You mean well, but that is man for ya. They never really "see", but we all have to go along with the smiles and laughter. Not a touch of the soundness of mind connecting with heart. Tragedy, the human being.

She very clearly had a herpes b outbreak. Many monkeys carry it and its not serious for them. It can however lead to serious complications in humans such as brain damage and yes you can catch it. That is why he literally cannot hold her until the sores are gone
He got her from a wet market in a cage with mostly dead other babies

The new baby who has a more urgent need to be shown love by letting him cling to you. Why do you let Mobi climb all over you, but Everytime the baby asks you to hold him... You either move him back to the middle of the green blanket. Which I'm sure is intended to look like grass. Why? Mobi knows you love him. All this new baby sees is u living Mobi more. The baby should be your focus. I am not saying that you should push mobi to the side. But I've seen many of the surrogate parents who manage to show both babies love. Holds both in the lap at the same time . Most of this video I spent feeling bad for the littlest baby. The one who needs you most right now. Mobi knows how to hold a bottle because you taught him. So teach the new one.

It's coz he didn't want to feed himself by himself so he kept going for the bottle you were holding, then when you fed the little one he was jealous. In the wild they're wrapped around their mothers when they feed and she's holding them so just feeding from a bottle is lonely for them so he at least wants to be on your lap.

Itik need to feed them separately otherwise the tiny one will always get cheated of your time for feeding and playing. You can introduce the two of them for playtime as the little one gets a bit bigger.

I know you have to cut out the play because idiots who don't know anything about primates will comment saying its abuse of the little one by the big one (the little one is young for play-fighting though but it's still going to be something he needs as much as the big when he gets bigger). Малышей готовили ,что б выпустить на свободу. Сака сразу сказал ,что их подготовит к тому ,что б выпустить. Он взял малышей ещё маленькими и они плохо выглядели. Обезьянок Сака тоже учил кушать из бутылки ,потому ,что они не умели. Да, теперь он их выпустил. Но видно ,что он беспокоится за малышей ,хоть они уже приспособлены к жизни на воле. Смотрите ролики ,там все ясно и понятно.
