    Really like your videos and the simplicity and practicality of your builds! What about the super pacific do you like better than the GFC? I live in Oregon and have been looking at the GFC for a year or so but haven’t pulled the trigger. I didn’t even know the super pacific existed! If it’s as good as the GFC and better, I’d get that for sure since it’s right down the road from me!

      Thanks! I really appreciate that!
      Where to start.. For me, there are two big things I prefer on the SP over the GFC. Those both revolve around the mattress. First, the mattress on the GFC is super uncomfortable IMO. Some people are ok with it, but my wife and I spent two years trying different solutions to make it more comfortable. The SP uses a well known self inflating camping mattress that is rated as one of the most comfortable sleeping pads made. The second thing is getting in and out. The GFC requires you to remove a panel to get in and out, where as the SP you can leave the last two panels out while sleeping. This means I can get up to get up to check on camp or make breakfast without disturbing my wife. More importantly, I have a diesel heater in the lower section without having to remove a panel for the hot air to flow up. There are other advantages like the wiring chases, switchpro mounts, better tent ventilation, doors on both sides of tent, movable molle panels inside... the list goes on. I think the SP is a more refined version of the GFC. Oh! And the tent material mounts to the frame in a way that doesn't allow bugs in unlike the GFC.
      Once I get over this darn virus, I need to make a full video on this.

      @@ScenicCityAdventures after spending a few hrs researching the SP after messaging you, I noticed all the same features lol! So I’m glad I’m on the same page :) I look forward to seeing your review on it! When are you scheduled to get it? Do you have to come to portland to have it installed?

    I have a 23Zero RTT but use a Gazelle screen house for my kitchen set up or to sit to eat if bugs are bad. Love those things!

    I met your dad this afternoon as my wife and I plan to purchase his trailer and tepui. He and I both have the same experiences with our “flamethrowers”. I had more than a chuckle when the first dialogue of your video mentioned your flamethrower! 💥
    Can’t wait for your video with the Super Pacific. In the meantime, I plan to catch up on all your previous videos.

      Hey Zach! I’m so glad he found someone that will enjoy that trailer. It’s been awesome for us over the years and I know you’ll get some great use from it.
      We can’t wait for the Super Pacific! It’s going to be so nice!
      Reach out if you decide you want to do some camping up here around Chattanooga, dad can give you my number!

    That's a pretty cool setup. Do you feel a quality of life difference upgrade in moving to the tent? Or was it just about mobility/compactness?

    • @ScenicCityAdventures
      @ScenicCityAdventures  3 года назад

      Great question! For now, this is a stepping stone towards our next camper. That being said, this tent will stay with us to be used in conjunction with the new Super Pacific camper. This can be used for guests, for escaping the rain, or for escaping the bugs. It’s large enough for a small table and 4 chairs if we have friends with us.

      I have an order placed on a different camper. It’s similar but has some design characteristics I prefer over the GFC.
