Freaking loving this content. This the first year I’m keeping up with the tour. Pumped and thankful to all the other RUclipsrs. Packy, Darren tang, 220 average are a few amongst many. Looking forward to this season.
These guys are olympians, and yet bowling is still not an olympic sport. All this extra footage adds more to this sport. Thank you to you and others who make this possible.
its unbelievable that bowling isnt considered a sport to some, but I would say the Olympics have all kinds of problems. When they cant even have wrestling at times,t hat says a lot about the issues the Olympics face. The nice thing about bowling is that it can be winter or summer Olympics as weather is rarely a factor. I have been to centers where its too cold and the oil can get icy though. I think for a sport that has been televised for decades though, it deserves more recognition and acknowledgement. Most people only relate to bowling as a social event, but in competition, it is very demanding physically to bowl that many games and the scoring is other worldy at times.
I always liked the telecasts where it was 4 hall of famers and then some upstart guy made the #1 seed. The other four were just licking their chops to make the final game. I mean you dont always want to see the same top guys on every show, that offers no variety at all.
@@SavageBowlingTVtough to say, as far as pattern 4, belmo and troup seemed to excel much more compared to simo, so if one of them makes it to the title match, I'd go 55-45 or 60-40 against simo just because of that, but I still think its very close to even odds
albeit simo did have the better match play record even though he averaged lower than troup or belmo in the later rounds by a bit, so he very well may have hit tough pairs
I would say whenever Simo is the top seed that he owned the shot during the week, but given that there were multiple conditions and that the TV show may be another, im not sure if this will play out. If Simo comes out throwing strikes, this is going to be over fast, because youll need a huge game to outscore him. They said the scoring has been low though, so that means its anyones game, unles tthe TV show is easier...especially true if splits come into play.
I dont think Bill stands a chance to run the table. That would mean his carry is really better than the rest of the heavy rollers on this telecast, unless Bill's roll offers a higher carry than the cranker angles on this TV pair. Outside of that, he gets Buster Douglas odds of 42 to 1.
Damn this Spoiler alert lol. Been trying to catch different crews US Open coverage which was great. Thanks to all the guys putting content out. This is pretty tough top 5 though. Almost can say like what they did back in the day for NFL. Any given Sunday for any of these guys in the top 5.
Seriously, how can you not like Bill Oniell... Great guy... I went to school with Bill and he still bowls local here to me at Bristol Pike Lanes outside Philly.
I met him at a regional in Myrtle Beach. I had some youth bowlers I was coaching and he sent me autograph pictures of him for them. He is one class act!
@@bowlnow824 He absolutely is, and Bill has gone through so much with his Father. His father is still very ill and has deteriorated due to Covid. He got sick like 2 years ago, and never really recovered. So I am also rooting for Bill because of this as well. Keep his Father in your prayers. He is better than he was, but will never be the same. And his father was his coach and biggest inspiration. Bill Sr coached a lot of the young guys here, including, I think, AJ Wolstenholme, who was also in the US Open this year.
That’s a pretty good one! Tune in tomorrow to our broadcast of the Indiana state Masters. We will have Mike Aulby in the booth. Will be interesting to see what he says on the best top 5s of all time
Luv this new generation and still watch old generation 50+ this is the cream of the crop bowl well and I will be watching.no picks just going to enjoy!!!
I used to love Bo Burton talk do bowling telecasts, no one comes even close to that guy. He had the stiffest bowling delivery ive ever seen, but his commentary was so brilliant. I think the players of that era were perfectly matched for Bo's telecast insights. Ill never forget when he saw the purple X-Calibur make a left turn he said "it looked like it hit a brick down there"
Did anyone notice Belmo didn't vlog for this Tournament , I don't blame em potential 2x SuperSlam , that would be just nuts and if he wins it again next year that would be 3x SuperSlam haha
One of the most PBA star studded videos to date! All HoF calibre!!! 5. Bill O'Neill "The Real Deal" 4. EJ Tackett "The Squirrel" 3. Kyle Troup "The Bro with the Fro" 2. Jason Belmonte "The G.O A.T" 1. Anthony Simonsen "Swiss Army Knife" Let's gooo!!! The DVR is set!!!
I commend Bill O’Neal for making the top 5 in this stacked field of 3 of the best two-hander’s on the PBA, and the best one-hander on tour with revolutions like a two-hander.
I'm a coach for youth league. I learned how to use 2 hands at 58 because I want to show my kids how to do it and I can blow 2 hands better than 1 hand within a year. Since then, I use 2 hands on my own league games (2 hands for strike ball, 1 hand for spare ball). I agree that 2 hands is not for everybody. Some small kid cannot not bowl with 1 hand , but can bowl with 2 hands really quick. But some kid struggle with 2 hands. So, I just let them choose how they want to blow. BTW, 2 hands technique is part of USBC Coaching materials.
Wildest US Open I have ever seen. Folks ripping shirts in frustration, several falls onto the lane by top players, and don't forget the US Marshalls rolling in and arresting Novak in middle of the week. Love to see EJ bounce back and make it to top 5.
Like, cool, a stacked top 5 and all. But we have seen all these people before, many times, in fact. To me, this is quite boring. I like seeing new faces in events like this.
I was really hoping when they got to the last interview, that Simonsen would pull the whole attitude charade and tell the guy to F off and tell the interviewer what an A hole he is...and play the whole psuedo-villain protagonist like he has in the past. No one but the PBA wants the nice version version of this guy; bring out the bad boy now that Pete is gone! Be a target for all shooters.
We were talking after the interview “at least we didn’t get the whole “no comment” from him after each question lol! He was actually very polite! Thanks for watching!
This really might be the most stacked top 5 ever.
Best ever!
Really enjoyed watching these interviews...looking forward to watching this show tomorrow...what an outstanding field!!!! Could be the best ever!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully it plays out and every match is exciting!

Great interviews
Thank you!!!
Definitely stacked.. I remember a telecast from the 90s that had Pete Weber, Mike Aulby, Jason Couch, Parker Bohn, and Walter Ray Williams
That’s a great show right there!

There was a full production crew following him and Simo around all night. Something bigger is coming for the bowling world!
He posted on Facebook his camera person was sick so she couldn't make it to this tournament to vlog
Aren't they doing a show like they did with F1? Netflix?

Shout out to 2 Bowlers you don’t hear much about. David Kroll who just missed the top 5 and Trevor Roberts who was really close as well.

Pretty incredible how these top 5 did it out of the field of 108. Should be great tomorrow.
108? wow
@@HippieP629 yup, and 56 games on tough patterns. The average score was around 195 but these 5 were around 215. I'd be around 140..lol.
lol I hear ya. I saw a couple interviews afterwards and they looked worn out@@oiler62

5 of the greatest tomorrow. Go BELMO!
1. Belmo
2. Simo
3. EJ
4. Troup
5. O’Neil
Congratulations Belmo on your 16th major championship.
Gonna be great!
@@SavageBowlingTV Yes it will, that dude chasing Walter. He really is putting himself in conversation to really be considered the goat of bowling.
Are those final results real??
@@JulianoJacobsz-w2w 😂😭 yeah bro. We got the news yesterday, jp. lol, but honestly, that’s my prediction. They bowl tomorrow.
1. Belmo
2. Simo
3. O'Neil
4. Troup
5. EJ
$100k seems like a big check, enough to pay bills for a whole year
Belmonte is going to dominate
Considering that Troup is the "worst" of the 5 with 10 (1 major), it's definitely STACKED! 89 titles, 28 majors, ENOUGH SAID!!!
Doesn’t get any better than this!

Yeah lefties took a beating on pattern 4!
Where’s Pete . Where’s duke? Top 5 in PBA history? I don’t think so
56 games will make ya fingers bloody
Sure would!!
