    All this extra footage adds more to this sport. Thank you to you and others who make this possible.

      Welcome! Thanks for tuning in! I can’t imagine bowling 56 games on the hardest conditions!

    • @mpup54
      @mpup54 Год назад +1

      its unbelievable that bowling isnt considered a sport to some, but I would say the Olympics have all kinds of problems. When they cant even have wrestling at times,t hat says a lot about the issues the Olympics face. The nice thing about bowling is that it can be winter or summer Olympics as weather is rarely a factor. I have been to centers where its too cold and the oil can get icy though.
      I think for a sport that has been televised for decades though, it deserves more recognition and acknowledgement. Most people only relate to bowling as a social event, but in competition, it is very demanding physically to bowl that many games and the scoring is other worldy at times.

      @mpup54 Год назад

      I always liked the telecasts where it was 4 hall of famers and then some upstart guy made the #1 seed. The other four were just licking their chops to make the final game. I mean you dont always want to see the same top guys on every show, that offers no variety at all.

    • @liambarron9772
      @liambarron9772 Год назад

      @@SavageBowlingTVtough to say, as far as pattern 4, belmo and troup seemed to excel much more compared to simo, so if one of them makes it to the title match, I'd go 55-45 or 60-40 against simo just because of that, but I still think its very close to even odds

    • @liambarron9772
      @liambarron9772 Год назад

      albeit simo did have the better match play record even though he averaged lower than troup or belmo in the later rounds by a bit, so he very well may have hit tough pairs

    • @mpup54
      @mpup54 Год назад

      I would say whenever Simo is the top seed that he owned the shot during the week, but given that there were multiple conditions and that the TV show may be another, im not sure if this will play out. If Simo comes out throwing strikes, this is going to be over fast, because youll need a huge game to outscore him. They said the scoring has been low though, so that means its anyones game, unles tthe TV show is easier...especially true if splits come into play.

      I dont think Bill stands a chance to run the table. That would mean his carry is really better than the rest of the heavy rollers on this telecast, unless Bill's roll offers a higher carry than the cranker angles on this TV pair. Outside of that, he gets Buster Douglas odds of 42 to 1.

He got sick like 2 years ago, and never really recovered. So I am also rooting for Bill because of this as well. Keep his Father in your prayers. He is better than he was, but will never be the same. I used to love Bo Burton talk do bowling telecasts, no one comes even close to that guy. He had the stiffest bowling delivery ive ever seen, but his commentary was so brilliant. I think the players of that era were perfectly matched for Bo's telecast insights. Ill never forget when he saw the purple X-Calibur make a left turn he said "it looked like it hit a brick down there"

    I'm a coach for youth league. I learned how to use 2 hands at 58 because I want to show my kids how to do it and I can blow 2 hands better than 1 hand within a year. Since then, I use 2 hands on my own league games (2 hands for strike ball, 1 hand for spare ball). I agree that 2 hands is not for everybody. Some small kid cannot not bowl with 1 hand , but can bowl with 2 hands really quick. But some kid struggle with 2 hands. So, I just let them choose how they want to blow. BTW, 2 hands technique is part of USBC Coaching materials.
