Actually the best tutorial out there. Got a 360hz monitor and wasn't able to dual PC stream using HDMI passthrough as caputre card didn't support it. Went the NDI route and had no issues even with audio after using a goXLR (just added 120ms delay on OBS).
Finally can alt-tab again without waitting 5 minutes haha

Can you recommend for settings for the lowest input lag on one pc stream ?

Thanks a lot. I tried it yesterday since your last vidéo. The stream is smoother and I feel great in game.
But I encounter issues with audio sync, using audio with NDI, which is weird (sound seems to lose sync over time), I'll try to fix this. Anyway, thanks again for the investigation, I completly gave up NDI since my last try, I should have try it again to fix my issues with capture cards. It's really game changer

I am a little late to this video, This is a really good method, I have Gigabit router and both cables for gaming and streaming pc are running at 1GB however, It uses a lot of lan bandwidth streaming at 1080 60fps which I'm already aware of and the downfall for me is I'm experiencing some network lag, so basically NDI is making my game feel laggy on the gaming pc because of NDI Traffic, is there anyway to fix traffic from the sender side?

Now if you’re using projector mode do I leave the cap card at 2560x1440p and put my scaled rez at 1920x1080 or do I make the cap card 1920x1080 which is the same as the resolution I’m playing on

[EDIT] What about NDI HX Scan converter versus OBS NDI versus OBS Teleport vs OBS Beam? I have a 10gig switch and network cards sending @1440p to the Stream PC. I tested all of these and the OBS BEAM app seems to be the best because it can have a buffer set up. FPS games were stuttering with all of the other options. I haven't tried actually streaming, but the Beam app was the only one that didn't stutter in the preview window on the Stream PC.

    Love this testing!
I'm wondering if setting the capture card to a factor of the refresh rate of the main monitor yields better results for the frame drops. Windows was updated in 20H2 to sync up to 3x down (so 240 can sync with 120 but not 60) and also making sure it's a clean divisor 60/120/180/240/360 rather than 165/360 or 144/240, etc.
Especially if you are using vsync on OBS projector, you'll want 60fps in video and 60hz on the capture card (or 120/120 but that likely increases the load)

    • @messiahshow
      @messiahshow 8 месяцев назад

You can buy a mixer and output your stream PC to an input on that mixer. Then output your game pc to an input on the mixer as well and then plug in your headphones in the mixer and you will hear both sources and adjust their individual volume. You can do the same thing with voicemeeter Banana or Potatoe using VBAN internet sent mixing between the Pc's.

@@FR33THY Hi! Please look into the easiest NDI alternative: OBS Teleport, it streams both video and audio over LAN from one OBS to another, very similar to NDI, and so far it has been a lifesaver for a triple PC streaming setup that I have with my girl as NDI was giving us nasty audio desync issues.
Just wanted to ask if you're aware of the plugin at all.
P.S. You're one of a kind reviewer out there, nobody does what you do, so if you're ever feeling down, please know that your work means a lot to people all over the world.

Used 2 PC setup with NDI fopr years, but been using NDI Tools to do it.
I just spent the time and recreated the steps here to test NDI Tools capture vs OBS NDI capture. NDI Tools HX Screen capture is far superior in my testing for actually producing smooth 60 frames recording, unless I done something wrong in the OBS settings... However, I copied it exactly from this video. It's night and day difference.
I also spent 30 mins testing back and fourth to see if there was input delay differences in either method and I can't feel any input changes/delay whatsoever, and I'm a sticker for these kind of things. That was my main reason for testing this way. I just couldn't feel any difference.
Appreciate the video, but at this point, I would still recommend installing NDI Tools and using HX Capture for video output. I do like game capture though that records the game when minimised rather than what I am doing on my main screen. I usually just screen change to my cam or something else though when this happens.
Like you I wouldn't recommend using it for Audio, I have cables linking the PC's for that part.
