I verbi in italiano si dividono in 3 coniugazioni (-are, -ere, -ire). In questo video vediamo come coniugare i verbi regolari della terza coniugazione (-ire) e alcune tecniche per ricordare le terminazioni di tutte e tre le coniugazioni.
I verbi in “-ire” al presente indicativo si dividono in due gruppi.
Tutti i verbi regolari che terminano in “-ire” (gruppo 1) hanno le stesse terminazioni: -o, -i, -e, -iamo, -ite, -ono.
Es. dormire: (io) dormo, (tu) dormi, (lui, lei, Lei) dorme, (noi) dormiamo, (voi) dormite, (loro) dormono.
Tutti i verbi regolari che terminano in “-ire” (gruppo 2) hanno le stesse terminazioni: -isco, -isci, -isce, -iamo, -ite, -iscono.
Es. finire: (io) finisco, (tu) finisci, (lui/lei/Lei) finisce, (noi) finiamo, (voi) finite, (loro) finiscono.
Ricordate che, tranne in alcuni casi, non usiamo il pronome insieme al verbo (diciamo “dormo”, non “io dormo”).
Potete usare i nostri video anche per imparare nuove parole. Scrivete le parole che incontrate di volta in volta e il vostro lessico diventerà sempre più ricco!
Italian verbs are grouped in three conjugations (-are, -ere, -ire). In this video you’ll learn how to conjugate the regular verbs of the third conjugation (-ire) in the present tense and some tricks to remember the endings of all three conjugations. In the present tense, the verbs ending in “-ire” are divided into two groups.
All regular verbs ending in “-ire” (1st group) have the same endings: -o, -i, -e, -iamo, -ite, -ono.
E.g. dormire (= to sleep): (io) dormo, (tu) dormi, (lui, lei, Lei) dorme, (noi) dormiamo, (voi) dormite, (loro) dormono.
All regular verbs ending in “-ire” (2nd group) have the same endings: -isco, -isci, -isce, -iamo, -ite, -iscono.
E.g. finire (=to finish): (io) finisco, (tu) finisci, (lui, lei, Lei) finisce, (noi) finiamo, (voi) finite, (loro) finiscono.
Remember that, except in specific cases, we don’t use the pronoun with the verb since every subject has a different ending (we say “dormo”, not “io dormo”).
You can also use our videos to learn new vocabulary. Write down the words as you see them to build your vocabulary.

Grazie mille per le spiegazioni, vorrei condividere con voi un trick per sapere se un verbo segue la coniugazione di"finire o di "dormire": a partire dall'ultima lettera del verbo all'infinito,contiamo fino a 5, se la lettera su cui ci fermiamo è consonante il verbo segue "dormire",se una vocale il verbo segue "finire", non è una regola ma funziona quasi sempre!
