Good information. However, viewing distance from TV is not diagonal size multiplied by 1.5 feet as mentioned by you. It is rather 5 times the diagonal size. For example, if the size of TV is 32 inches ideal viewing distance should be 32 * 5, i.e 160 inches or 13 feet.
