Love y’all for uploading this. This tour was my introduction to metal live and set the tone for the rest of my life. 13 years old, and I still remember the way he came out of nowhere wearing the hat and just absolutely killed it. Fear Factory and Monster Magnet opened this tour, unreal.
I saw this tour with my friend Louise down in Tucson and omg it was amazing! I got to meet Rob August of 98 waiting in line for hours in 118 degree heat and he signed my CD I still have it.
I saw this show every time he came through promoting Hellbilly back when I was in HS. This stage set and experience is burned into my mind as the most visually spectacular thing I'd seen (and maybe still, even about 20 years later). I've been looking for footage of that show forever and I thank you so much for this upload..
Yes! This tour forever left an impression on me 🖤 I was 17 or 18 when I saw it and I still talk about every once in a while when people bring up the best live shows 🖤👌🏻
I went to that tour in support of Hellbilly Deluxe as well.. saw em in October @ the Mammoth Event Center in Denver.. Fear Factory opened up, and Monster Magnet was a no show cause the singer got sick or something.. But because of that Fear Factory and Zombie had longer sets.. oh man it was amazing.. when they did Superbeast to open the curtain pulled open and there was so much pyro I thought the band exploded.. it will definitely go down in my memory as one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Gotta love Rob Zombie - I wish White Zombie had stayed together but, he kept going and crushed it w his own style in tact. An incredible performer and a really smart dude. Check his interview w Joe Rogan. He's no burned out stoner that likes horror movies. A smart business man. Rock on!
I think i was there. Because this guy named Brian took me there and it was my acual first concert and it was Rob zombie opening for monster magnit and some other bands. KICKED ASS.
I love hearing these guys talk about the stage and set in between songs. Fascinating hearing that and watching people actually enjoying the show back then (I was 12). Saw Rob in July and he actually made everyone put their phones away before doing Thunderkiss '65. Amazing.
Right? It's so surreal, hearing these people actually converse with each other about what's going on rather than just sit there with their smartphone up. Makes me feel more than a little bit sad that I missed out on this decade as far as bands and music went.
I really enjoyed this video. I was there that night and It was AMAZING! I was looking for myself in the crowd surfs. I seen a few other concerts of his but nothing as good as this. I over heard in video no wonder the ticket was $25.00. lol. BUt it was so worth it. Thanks for posting this. brought back good memories.
@@daves7079 Internet was better in the 90's? Is this a joke? LOL. Back then, it was mainly dial-up connections, which were super-slow, and it took forever for things to load. As for music and movies being better? That's all subjective. There was plenty of bad-mediocre entertainment back then too, so take off the rose-colored glasses.
@ 59:11 Funny thing about this bit. I was there at this awesome show. In the front, next to the guy yelling "Black Sabbath". In fact, he got a bunch of us to chant it, before Rob came over to acknowledge it, as shown here.... Here's the thing though, and I always thought it was funny and I remember it vividly. It wasn't "Black Sabbath" he and a bunch of us were yelling. It was "Black Sunshine". I can see the mix up, in a loud crowd, hard to hear, even though I'm sure, 'Children of the Grave' by Black Sabbath was a part of the set list regardless of this guys input.🤣 Still, it had me thinking at the time, even if it was the case, who chants for Black Sabbath at a Rob Zombie concert?😆 Sadly, he didn't play 'Black Sunshine'...However, he did when I saw him a year later at Ozfest.
This is epic! Saw them a month before in st. Louis!!! I saw this creature that meant business standing in the hotel bar drinkimg whiskey and thought holy shit who is this???? Had to go to the room to look at my cd!!! Checked the local paper and saw they were in town!!! What a night!!! Met Riggs, Blasko, Sherri after the show while they were checking out!!!’
Exactly. I remember seeing Marilyn Manson, KoRn, Coal Chamber, Metallica, The Prodigy, Slipknot, Deftones all before phones became the focus. I know us "older folk" go on about it but you couldn't beat the 90's for real gigs with an engrossed crowd
I wish Rob had footage from this tour! There are not too many live shows on RUclips from Hellbilly tour. I wonder why's that. The album sold millions in US but not too many fans bootlegged his shows , neither audio nor video. Maybe security was very tight.
Actually, there are quite a few from this tour and following year's tour with Korn. I filmed White Zombie from 92 to 96 and then Rob's solo shows 98 - 99.
Yes I just watched them on RUclips. I've never been able to see White Zombie or Rob Zombie. WZ performed in Finland in 1995 but I was just a little kid back then. Rob Zombie was scheduled to play here in 2011 and 2014 but the show was cancelled on both cases. Maybe I will travel to bigger festivals in Europe or US to see him and I am looking forward to Astro-Creep: 2000 live DVD. He is a really cool guy. He once posted me the lyrics of "Halloween (She Get So Mean)" because they were incorrect on many lyric websites. I really liked Bootleg Cowboys documentary by the way. Bootlegging is easy nowadays.
You know rob zombie should play beatlejuice if tim Burton ever makes another movie because i thank he has the stuff to make it work all dressed up you know.

Thank's for this . This a rare footage . Not many capture about this Rob Zombie Era ! ... Awesome
My favorite era of his. Wasn’t a twig and was slamming like a motherfucker
Yep! And I’m still trying to find bootlegs of Fear Factory and Monster Magnet when they were opening for him
I saw the show a couple of nights before this in Salem, OR. Was an incredible show!!!
I was 9 my dad & I flew in from PA to meet up with my grandparents but also to go to this show. Saw my first pair of tits 🤣🤣🤣
This is when zombie had balls and looked like he would destroy your face. Miss this era
I mean, he went back to this general theme. It’s just more cartoonish, which I like.
Check out his new song King Freak he's definitely going back to this style, love it!
