Yup. My school (Delhi Public School) had 5 new classes setup for special needs children, free of cost. One of them was for unusually slow learners, and we were strictly instructed to behave ourselves around them. We couldn't ridicule them at all. Just one complaint used to get us in serious trouble (50 marks deductions in annual exams, 10 days suspension, accumulated black spots (5 blackspots for 1 student means rustication), etc.
One of the many things i love about this movie is how they portrayed Yohan as a nice and supportive older brother and not as a mean or obnoxious brother.
@@couchpotato5138happens only until they are kids, like not matured. I remember I used to fight with my younger sister all the time for silly things. I am her big brother, now 20. But i absolutely love my little sister and still fight with her not seriously but like teasing her, but I never fight her seriously now because I don't wanna hurt her. I don't know if it just comes as you become mature i guess, definitely seems like it to me
Your dad is such a “great guy.” He’s so balanced and brought up 2 wonderful balanced kids with so much love as well. Get well soon Waleska. More love to your family 🧡 💐
@@Aman__ idk..he told to wait for 5 days so i thought he is editor of video.. PS- n if mr. editor is reading this he did just want to tell u did great job with jab we met
Very sweet to share this with your Dad. And really liked the interaction between the two of you. Very nice to see that the movie resonates an emotion and memories with your Dad.
Loved you and your dad's reaction. It's easily discernible how good a parent he is❤️ Answering your question, by the time of this movie (early 2000s) mental health was a taboo subject (depression, psychosis etc) and not talked in public often. Thus, even things like dyslexia or down syndrome etc were not very known by the common mass. It was only after this movie that govt took measures for the betterment of such students and even the general public accepted mental wellness as essential (well, to some degree) Also, the family is not rich or anything. They're middle class and hence the parents put pressure on their children to excel in everything :) hope this cleared your doubts
One of the reasons why Indian parents may sound too aggressive and immature while punishing their children , and while what your papa said about not being ready for kids is absolutely perfect, the thing is any middle class man who is trying to put together a good and well functioning family takes around 15-20 years so if you enter a job at 22-24 , he will be about 40-45 when he has enough money to focus entirely on his kids , so Indian parents have to kind of do both together and hence it can cause a lot of frustration, we can't do anything about it at our income bracket, it's the economic situation we have to deal with.
0:42 fun little fact, you actually translated it bang on. Like the title is literally “stars on the ground”. But the English title takes more from what it’s trying to mean, I.e. “like stars on earth”:3 so that wasn’t just close enough.
Damn goodness. Perfect choice 👍 Specially to watch it with parents 🥰 Can't wait for the next parts ☺️ Btw they are not rich family...but common middle class Indian family. Indian middle class families actually put a lot of, you can say, pressure on their children to excel in studies and everything. And Yeah..you are right. Ishaan is dyslexic. But unfortunately many people in India are not even aware of such things.
I am SO SO SO glad you're doing this! ;) As I said in my first comment suggesting this, I wish every single person sees this movie. Might help make the world more compassionate. Before this movie, dyslexia was not even a part of the average educated Indian's vocabulary. But this movie brought about a drastic change, and impacted so many lives for the better. Kudos and hats off to AAmir khan.
One of the best movies till date ! Thank you for reacting this movie, It is one of the best movie Bollywood has ever produced ❤ You Guyz are DOPE ... Miss you Waleska !!
This movie is very emotional and I highly recommend for parents and teachers to watch it!!!! I watched it couple of times alone, with my parents and also with my husband and I never let go of this movie. For me it's unique bcz it's telling a story also from the kid perspective. Of course I cried every time I watched it
Nice! It's one of my favourite movies and and watching both of you sharing your thoughts and emotions makes me feel very happy. Wish i could share it with my dad but He died many years ago and when he was alive we didn't had such a good relationship like you two seem to have. So please enjoy every day together and and please let us know when you will bring up part two. Thanks, Love and greetings from Germany 😳😘🙋
In india .... The people are grown in a way that you have to have a proper 9 to 5 job and the creative paths were not entertained as work a few years back but from last 5 to 6 yrs the thinking is changing and people are taking up jobs like arts music sports and others .... So it is changing but the thing in our schools that is or was very appreciated is that teachers are always said to have a upper hand in future making of a child more than his family and teachers areeant to be gurus for life
I was in a very local school and there teachers were just angry at students mostly but my brother is a little dyslexic and he studies at an international school and because of them we got to know that he is dyslexic they have separate curriculum for students like my brother.
Wish you guys reacted to more recent bollywood movies instead like "Jersey(hindi)", "Gangubai Kathiawadi", "Sanam teri Kasam" (Do these with Waleska and pops next)
I don't know is it still happens in school nowaday but it happened to me in that days and some teachers are helpful and others to punish severely. Good to see yours dad's reactions 😀
Best movie ever. It used to happen here in the 2010s even, but now the education system is completely changed, and there's more awareness for such inabilities, especially after the popularity of movies like these. Now teachers cant even hit the kids, or scold them. Its too much leeway but oh well
May Lord Buddha bless all of you 😊🙏have a nice day everyone 😊🙏💗please be kind to everyone specially to kids🥺❤🙏they are like beautiful flowers 💐❤They are innocent and please let them live happily ❤🙏Namo Buddhaya 🙏☸
Fact: After this movie, Govt took initiative for dyslexic students like providing substitute writers to write in exams and schools too became aware
awe thats amazing
Thanks for letting us know I'm so happy to hear that

And the friend too. Rajan is such an amazing friend
Oh yes. But lot of times not the case in reality. Some siblings are jealous that the other requires/gets more attention.

I am 26 and i relate to this.
I think in 20s we often deal with all the problems we had in our childhood/teenage years.
