They can for a bit the question is how long.. I've got identical engine but still full of water I lifted a head twice both times I went 39-40 psi in a race I'd lift a head by the 330... Hope his works good , maybe dry decking helps alot can't wait to see it going
I’m not hating but I am genuinely curious, why stock rods and pistons? I could see if you are poor or broke but I get the feeling you are not. All the work and time it takes to go fast why not put some rods and pistons in it… you would have so much more confidence, longevity and strength.

Drivers side front headstud is a different size on lt motors, reuse the factory hex bolt.

It must be a pretty common thing at ARP because I've been short on head bolts and gotten mixed sizes from them
Ran into the same issue with arp….trying to get a motor together and find out they didn’t put the washers in the box
