- I think I possibly have the tattiest looking Ferrari 360 Spider around! There's a few things wrong with it that need attention and in this video I share those with you.

Both are correct ways of loving cars, nothing wrong with that
The closest I will get to a 360 Spider is by trapping 1 under a glass and watch it run around
I bought one 12 years ago, love it, paid a few hundred pounds for an expert to look it over and the dealer fixed all the small issues. The expert even marked up that the sticker specifying the Tyre manufacturer should be Pirelli, it is showing a sticker for Michelin on mine, he said the change was made the following month and someone in the factory probably picked out the wrong sticker - it's always worn Pirelli P-ZERO's - Ferrari engines are very strong, cambelt change every 3 years, oil changes and other items annually even if you've only done 1000 miles between services. Went for Red, Creme, Red as that to me it is the classic colour combination - and a manual gear selector - I just love the chrome gate. In 2011 fitted a Nouvalari Engineering back box which sound awesome but can be a bit tiring on a day out, although at speed you can't tell the difference. The only issue I have is after a layup the roof actuator doesn't make contact so I have to gently lean on the roof once down to put the next sequence into effect - this problem only happens a few times then rights itself. Insurance is about £600 per annum on restricted mileage so very reasonable. I'd get the cracked floor panel fixed as this can shatter and splinter at speed. This damage is usually caused by straddling speed bumps, in the history that came with mine one panel had to be replaced by a previous owner for the same reason, was £6k+ anyway sorry to ramble on but they really are a lovely car to drive, purists say there's a bit too much scuttle shake compared to the Modena but I prefer the looks and the wind blowing through my now greying hair ! I saw you wash this beauty in an earlier vlog, using a Jet wash! a mate of mine details cars for a living, he often posts pics of exotics, usually 4-6 each week. He recently received a car from the state museum; worth over $AUS1.4mil, a 1915 Bugatti or similar. They'd heard about his expertise from several rich influential supercar owners. He'd be horrified about a Jet Wash on a Ferrrari! hahaha. He's incredibly pedantic about getting a 100% perfect finish. Some help. For your rear defuser unscrew the 1million bolts. Lay it upright. Get out a nice 180-200 grit sand paper. Smooth it down. It took me 45 mins. Then in America u. An order a roll of either fiber glass or carbon fiber. They come in 12/24 by 48in sheets on the roll about 30-125usd. I laid one sheet half way over the first strip. Repeated it about 5 layers. Make sure you wear a mask. This process took a few days because it has to dry. Once completed you wet sand and put clear coat over. It looks fantastic and brand new. It’s also better than new be at Ferrari just used fiber glass and had it cast.
Clear silicone will fix most the loose bits, dash, window seal and that loose screw on the door panel. The scuff marks, satin black paint from your local home supply store. The tool kit leather perhaps a reupholstery shop! You need to make a list and book a full Saturday, couple of cold drinks and pizza. Should be able to do all them in one day. Get Maria to help she seems very inspired with all the cars lol .. all the best ..Cheers :)

You are the most humble and nicest auto you tuber I’ve seen. Thanks for such a honest no hype informative channel. If anyone deserves to enjoy their Ferrari it’s you. But you’ve got to cut yourself some slack friend.. if anything, you are a bit too nice like the mirror incident, I’ve done same...a seemingly minor incident and we don’t hold shop accountable because it was an accident only to find out later how much a mirror costs..& I don’t have a Ferrari (I guess all mirrors cost $1,000!,) letting that girl sit on your wing for a selfie was literally too kind but no harm and being too nice is preferable to an selfish boastful bastard! You are also trying to maintain a boat and that is way more consuming of cash and time; you are doing all the right things with proper care of your car so either break out the OCD checkbook and fix those minor things or put the note of minor items and burn them in an ashtray and Let Go of them to enjoy the car, you deserve it. I bet your wife has some imperfections she speaks of but you overlook those easily and enjoy your time with her...do same with the car. Hope your SEO biz keeps booming it’s constantly changing and demanding so get the most enjoyment out of your car and congratulate yourself on being unselfish and doing a great channel for us to watch. Great video! These are actually all things to watch out for when buying a used 360!
If you nib down the chip edges on the door mirror then apply clear lacquer to it with a brush and build it up it will look a lot better. Lovely car and i would be happy to have it in any state. As you have been good with the servicing the important barts are right. Keep it up great following you.

Even with those little flaws it’s still an amazing car. The only thing that really bugs me is why Ferrari installed the cheapest LCD clock they could put their hands on!

It’s is naf. I recall the clock in my ex-wife’s MX5 looking pathetic. At least that was only a £15k car.
The ozone-greyed black trim can be cured by applying Armor All Protectant - it might de-sticky the switches too!

Your right, it's all about the drive, but the stuck CD and sticky buttons in my car is irritating.

Here in the uk we don't get the weather to drive too much. I put a Tubi on recently, took me a week. And this week I took off the engine bay side trim covers to get the horrible water stains off. I'll do whatever I can to make mine as good as I can. Your engine bay needs a damn good clean. 😊 After hearing yours I'm glad I got a Tubi. 😉

Hi Fezza - missed this video somehow until now. My 360 also had the sticky buttons when I got it; there are a couple of places here in the states that will be happy to refinish them for you for $5-700, after you take them all off and send them in. Well, after I couldn't even figure out how to get the left-side dash switches off, I said screw that. I ended up just using denatured alcohol and a rag; cleaned everything without removing any of them. It only took me about an hour to do all of them and it came out great. You must use denatured alcohol, though; the regular rubbing alcohol won't cut it.

Yeah, I finally found it at a home store; I guess any real hardware store should have it. I had tried regular alcohol first and it did almost nothing - huge difference with denatured. You mention your 360 was lowered; I can't even imagine what that's like - I'm terrified of driveways and speed bumps even with mine at stock height. (Of course I shouldn't talk; I used to have a DeLorean that I bought new. It was pretty low to begin with and I had it lowered more - it was 44" high at the roof.)
Thanks Dave. I will try and find it. And yes, my car is (annoyingly) lowered. I am thinking of getting it raised back up to how it was originally as it scrapes all over the place.
Window seals, grommets and things like that are items that tend to go bad after 10 or so years, esp in warmer climates and if you drive it. I tend to keep my car mechanically sound and don't quite as much about the appearance since I daily and track it. The bit hanging down underneath would really bother me, as would the radio. Unless you knew what to look at or were another Ferrari owner, I'd say yours looks to be in pretty good shape.

Fix ur dash while its still the airbag cover because it seems that the piece over the airbag is separate so u must fix it while its still small

Try Racambi USA website to find all those minor parts. I find they have the best info for finding the right part #. I enjoy my 360 nd drive about as much as you do. People have no idea what they are missing out on. Keep it up mate.

I alos hate these sticky buttons all over. You can clean it but it's a lot of work. What really is ugly and really annoys are the bubbles on the dash above the glove box. Nearly all 360 have these problems. I wonder why the owners never get it fixed. It would be the first thing I would do. Hope it is better with the F430?

Sorry to say this my mate but that really looks like some serious wear'n tear in your Spider. I'm not sure if that's all so called normal wear n tear? My 360 coupe has 89k km on the odometer and it shares only one issue with your lady; the famous sticky buttons. I drover little over 7k km during this short Northern European summer from late May to early September. Just because I love her!
Really the "tattiness" doesn't really matter as long as one really enjoys this beautiful Italian sportscar and doesn't "garage queen" it.
yeah, I've let them build up as I never have the time to address them. Will get round to it soon hopefully.
Have you tried white spirits on the sticky buttons ?
I used WD40 and that seemed to work ok

It maybe a touch tatty, but its still a FERRARI!!!!!!.. Cars are made to enjoy, not to sit in an air conditioned garage and looked at.....
Does look to need a few little jobs doing but at least you're out there enjoying the car. Sadly living in the UK as I do, mines all but packed away for the winter. I really don't enjoy driving the car in rubbish weather so I leave it at home. Just had a full correction and ceramic coating done on mine to keep the paint in good condition. What do you think to the end result?

Get your rake double checked. The front of the car should be lower than the rear end, on yours it is the opposite.
