- Deeper into the Trichocereus rabbit hole with a very special guest in todays episode. Trevor Elliot better known by his online moniker The Cactus Jones. We tour his new urban cactus farm where we discuss a range of topics from of coarse cactus all the way to loss and grief. I feel very honored to be able to share this video with you all. Trevor has recently gone through a number of major life changes that we discuss during our time together. He is a Trichocereus connoisseur with a heart of gold, a family man and a all around great dude. I hope you enjoy. Thanks.

This was an amazing episode. All the best to Trevor in healing from his loss. Appreciate his openness and the depth of conversation you guys had here. The resilience of cacti and other succulents has really attracted me to them as well. I’ve had some utterly fucked plants come back from near death. Lol

I wonder why no one ever used my secret, ninja method: Instead of putting your cutting into the soil, lay it ON the soil. Horizontally. This way the entire length of the cutting produces roots. More roots, more fun. And the shoots will know where to appear.

Condolences to Trevor on the passing of Carrie...thats so tough. Beautiful episode, philosophical of life, death, growing cacti..I'llbe coming back to this one again... Can I check my understanding, Trevor grows them on, cuts them back, this generates major regrowth, these pups get harvested and I'm guessing those cuttings get potted on for resale. How long before a root system develops on those cutting? I'm collecting for a couple of years, this episode makes me want to take a risk and get them in the ground 🤝

I remember growing up in West Texas we use to find turtles and wright their name on the back of their shell with blue finger nail polish. I can’t imagine losing the love of my life, I’m being forced yet again to though. So my heart goes out for his loss. 2am and just can’t sleep, watching videos to just blank out. But this video caught me off guard. Love life, love the ones u got. It can all be gone in a split second. I’ve lost so many friends and family in really messed up ways. I just can’t lose her… need to trip with her for real lol. Be good for us. Oh well

For gophers, you can Dig pits and put chicken wire underneath all your plants... they do it in weed grows in nor cal
