The C43 is nice, but the C63 is stunning!
C43 sounds way better, a proper drivers note, the c63 is just a huge noise for noise sakes
I watched this again, because it is my favorite car line (C class). I have always been a 'sedan man'. Yet after viewing this, I must confess... I want the Thomas blue C400 Cabriolet from Santa too! :) That car is sublime... I am sort of torn, as I want the engine from the C63, but in terms of styling I believe the elegance and diamond studded grill of the C400 wins the day. The interior is awesome as well. I definitely agree with Thomas on this, the C400 blue is the best one to buy. It is a beautiful and impressive automobile, I would love to cruise the countryside here in America with the top down. Thanks to you Autogefuhl for another great review.

Thomas, that was a very good job! I live in Germany and wondered which model to take. It's so great to find such a good review in English and I must agree that the C400 is an amazing value and compromise for sport, elegance and money. Absolutely gorgeous all of them, but yes. This 6 cylinder 400 is the best between elegance and performance!
For a cabrio I prefer the elegance and smooth ride, so I'd go for the C400,
for a Coupé, definiately the beast C63S :)

The spec on that Blue C400 is so beautiful and elegant, both the exterior and interior choices on colours and finishes. It is the best looking car on the C-class platform I've seen so far!

Whilst I'd LOVE to buy one of these they, are crazy expensive here in Australia so will have to settle for a smaller convertible like the BMW 2 series. Would love a review of that one by you Thomas. Would love to hear your views on it 😀

but she didn't focus on the car she's focus on you.
I wanted to stop watching in the middle and she was angry like crazy, so we watched for an hour and twenty minutes full.

Thomas, greetings from Australia. I note that at 44:35, you passed an Esso petrol service station on the right. The old "put a tiger in your tank" slogan that graced our Esso servos here years ago. We don't see the Esso brand here anymore. On another note, it appears that the Sat Nav/infotainment screen does not fold away as it does in the 2010 model C200 of mine. Perhaps on the next model it might. Again, thank you Thomas for your professionalism in bringing us this review, cheers mate....

Watching another video on the C43 coupe, I thought too myself this car needs rear fender flares, and oh look the C63 has them wonderful!

That C63 has an incredible exhaust and is one of the best in the industry. I don't care for those two colour rims though.

The best compromise between price and engine will be the C400 with AMG package. Thomas blue + red/brown roof + red/brown interior and matte wood. An stunning solid car thoroughly reviewed .. Did not noticed the 1.30 time of the vid

I would probably go for a C 400 with Thomas blue and the blue roof but may be a different interior color depending on what the options are but I do like the silver interior with the Thomas blue great review thank you

I like the standard in Thomas Blue or in Matte grey either with Dinamica.
I like the microfibre very much although I'm not sure which is actually more sustainable. One is made from cow and one petrol based.

For keeping cows so much more resources are wasted that you cannot even begin to compare it.
Probably the microfiber is recyclable so that's the edge...

mercedes is all about luxury. it drives like a camry.
The C Class Cabriolet is a pretty car overall BUT.....some design features bother me..... The waist line is too high.... this is a recent design trend that I hate.....compare it to an R129 or W111 and you know what I am talking about....Inside the car you get the feeling you sit in a bunker.....also.... the seats are too bulky.... the headrests dominate the cars view when open....reminds me of a Playmobile Car.......the C63 has a powerful stance... I like that..... but overall....mmmmhhh....I am not sure....

Air cooling on the front seats ? So, you can now go for leather and not sweat too much ? Totally agree with you Thomas that dinamica is THE best choice for an open-top car but then the colour range is normally limited to just one: ie. dark grey. So, if you want a more contrasting seat colour for your, say, blue cavansite exterior you can now spec air-cooled leather ? Is that correct ?
Artico (faux leather) is available with different colours, so that would be an option as well!
Air-cooled seats only with genuine leather :/
But as u said, with Dinamica, you dont sweat that much anyway

I agree, Thomas. The C400 in Thomas Blue is prefect... too bad it is not available in the USA. One must chose between the silly C300 versus the C43 here. If one does take the jump up in price to get the six-cylinder engine, it is then not possible to opt for the air suspension, nor is 4matic abailable. Thanks, Mercedes, the new design 2018 S5 cabriolet it is.

I would go for the grey AMG C63s with the 19 inch wheels from the blue one (C400). Also with no carbon fiber optics but more chrome if possible.

Your reviews are great. Suggestion. Try driving around the NW corner of Maui, talk about lots of turns! NOT the Autobahn and will probably never get above 50MPH but plenty of turns.

I like your personal choice: C400 4matic, Blue with mbtex and airmatic. Unfortunately the C400 is not available in the USA. This can be selected with the C300 but the price ends up the same as the C43....
For this market, I think I would take C43, silver with black dinamica interior. A classic combination. I am seriously considering buying this car.

I could not shut the soft top of my 2016 C Class Convertible using the 'Convertible top switch' in the car today. So I tried to use your method by pressing the shut remote control button. It does not react at all. Can anyone please help me. It is first time it happened. Thank you

Thanks Ben! Very good and important question. First of all, always stick to the base seats that are offered, in the C63 those are already the sports seats (total base seats not available for AMG models). Do not upgrade to the Performance seats as you will loose comfort, especially on long trips. Also, stick to the standard configuration of Dinamica micro fibre inside and Artico leatherette outside, this is perfect for sporty grip, climate comfort both in summer and winter times and also you are sparing animals and have a more sustainable choice for the environment. And you save a lot of money as well :-)

Will do. Just out of interest, I currently have the Jaguar XKR but as Jaguar don't make a GT anymore, I'm thinking of the C63s. How do you think the F-type compares with the C63? I know they're different but I perceive the Mercedes is much more comfortable and has a nicer cabin whilst still being very sporty. Thanks.

I hate the dashboard screen that seemed like a gps sticking out go the dashboard they should make the dual screen standard from the new 2017 E class & new S class models.
Quite frankly, Mercedes' AIRCAP solution is much more elegant than carrying around a classic wind deflector. It's not like there's lots of room to store the deflector when not in use, and it's impractical to leave it always on. Plus, they ruin the aesthetics. For all its shortcomings, AIRCAP is very clever, and practical. Something like the excellent system used on the Porsche 911 Convertible would be indeed preferable, but realistically speaking, the 911 is a two-seater car passing itself off as a 4-seater, which made it easy to adopt the electric folding wind deflector.
