I think it's beautiful that she is who she is, if it's an old, gentle soul, even if if it appears also somewhat dark to some. I think a singer doesn't have to be like a modern, famous pop star with blond hair ect. and that's what is so special about Birdy.

I'm in love with the atmosphere this song conveys, the melancholic softness of the piano, and how the low, grayish light in the video fits perfectly. I wish I could enter that universe somehow, so I could walk slowly by myself in those deserted places and feel their peaceful charm emanating (and then probably fall asleep because this music is just so relaxing).

This album is a masterpiece, she's not a producer of these lyrics but all of these covers sounds better than originals. There is a huge emotional blow on my mind after listening her music.
Sorry but Bon Iver‘s original of „Skinny Love“ is much better than her cover.

Beautiful song always makes me think of my beautiful wife, who came in to my life at exactly the right time and saved me from myself and the self destructive path I was walking, the very 1st time I met her and she put her arms around me I knew she was the woman I was going to spend the rest of my life with, 4 years on and I love her so much, we were meant to be together, I'll never be able to repay her for what she did for me just by being herself, kind, caring and most of all she loves me for who I am..any haters who want to tell me my story is gay etc, etc don't bother yourselves writing a nasty reply I don't care I love my wife and am proud to be her husband..

Was in a relationship with a girl who had a history of being sexually abused.
Whenever we argued we'd make up with sex, like a natural thing. Until one day we had a huge fight and she spoke to me in tears: "Can we resolve this outside of bed this time?"
At that point of time I thought she was thinking that I was with her only for sex, so I left the apartment, feeling offended.
I didn't talk to her for 2 days to calm my emotions, and when I finally decided to I was too late. She committed suicide just 1 hour before I was trying to call her on phone.
Pride never goes well with love. If you love someone, say it before it's too late.. Sometimes 1 sentence at the right time could save lives.
