I've noticed there are too many polished stainless steel parts along the yacht. Is it mandatory or can they be replaced by brushed steel as well?

Stainless is used because of its properties that resist corrosion...ie rust. Rust is very bad on boats. Stainless is easier to maintain than brushed. If you use brushed there is so much surface area to collect salt water it would corrode very quickly.

@@bilyd333 Azimut have their own foundry where they cast stainless fittings, so they do like to show off their craftmanship in metalwork a lot. Not many yards have that in-house capability so it is quite understandable they'd want to differentiate that way.
Personally I really like it but I it's not to everyone's taste.
