Stormbringer is fantastic in t6 abyss. Though if you get unlucky spawns, the drone overmind mainly, it doesn't have the ST to complete the filament before running out of time. That being said, I've done a few hundred by now and haven't run into the instant death room chain yet.
Yea I heard it was bad on a couple of spawns, but seems like it can handle the rest fine as you say. Fun ship. Thanks o7

Target a sturdy structure like the Cargo Platform and it will absorb the first hit while chaining onto other rats - you can clear a site without ever having to target the individual rats :)

Managed to bait one of these around Christmas, man was the pilot pissed off! He reported me for hacking, because even though you said in your video you need to have yellow safety; it works with green too :p

To clarify:
Safety green prevents anything that makes you loose sec status giving you a suspect timer. Yes, the gun does respect safety settings, but a suspect pilot in hisec is a valid target even at setting green, as shooting it would not incur a suspect status. So, if they land on grid and are flashy yellow (or they steal from one of your loot cans), shooting the gun may hit them despite green safety, at which point the two of you are locked in a limited engagement, making it legal to return fire without concord interfering. And then a stormbringer usually dies to poor single target dps going up against something that can tank.

Gotta be very careful with this, a ship can steal from your wreck, turn suspect and then your lighting will hit them, turning you killable to them.

Is it better at the refuges than an Orthrus with Autos?
Stormbringer's achilles heel is it's relatively slow Vorton projector's cycle time - going head to head with a RLML Orthrus with ungrouped launchers, I suspect the Orthrus would still have the edge.
Seen orths and cerbs doing these super quick like that yea. Cheers.

@@zaqq Fit the Orthrus with Hyperspatial and Polycarbon rigs, 2 x Multis and 2 x LSE IIs and a MWD to get back to the gate when you need to. Land on a Refuge, launch drones and stagger the autos. Wait about a minute. It doesn't really get more afk than this. Don't do Dens, however, with those rigs. It takes far too long with RLML.
