I would love to see the vac jig you used to set the frets. I would also appreciate it if there is a one-off method.

How did you drill the fret holes for the Delrin Rod? @boazElkayam

Would carbon fiber rod works as frets too?

Not a good idea, in general you’re not going to see professionals putting screws into carbon fiber‘s directly. because carbon fiber , although it’s very strong ! It like to crumble ! I think you’ll get better results with unidirectional fiber glass rod ?

Hello Boaz! I am interested to find out if you have figured out a way to use delrin rod on a fret board with a radius.

That was interesting. Delrin is a trademarked name, the generic name is Acetal.

Hi Boaz. What are your thoughts on stainless steel frets for electric guitars? Thank you. Sean.

How do you cut the slots for DELRIN frets and how do you ensure the frets are all level?

Originally they used end mills, and then used a vaccum jig that held the frets level and so the whole mess was glued into the finger board at once, but indexed off the Al jig. I assume the pre-fretted the board, then glued it to the neck, but I suppose it could go either way.
This new methods with nearly floating frets, he must be using a ball, mill or just setting the frets in and the extra 5 thou capture comes from the glue. But a ball end mill would require nearly zero adjustment to make a ball mill for that extra 5 thou.
