Woolie putting in a lot of work with that guard break. You can tell by the way he keeps attacking guarding enemies and tries to guard break dizzied enemies.
I hate how easy mode is depriving the audience from seeing the full movesets of the bosses. HRG takes away almost all their health too even if he uses it just once on them. Woolie just kept jabbing over and over and uses home run god and still have the nerve to die sometimes with the game already pussified to the max. Even the demons don't pose a threat as long as he has bar for God Hand now. He didn't improve at all and is just relying on upgrades and easy mode.
I played easy mode first when I played God Hand. Wish I'd just played normal because even if you suck balls at the game, like Woolie, you'd just be stuck on level 1/2 anyway.
Knight-Errant Normal mode really isn't as impossible as Pat and Woolie claim it is. As long as you're always ready to dodge and don't get too greedy with the offense, you will beat the game. Enemies can be singled out if there's too many in a room, the game gives you more than enough healing items and boxes to throw. You don't need to know long combos at all to succeed even in Hard Mode. Easy mode isn't really displaying all the fun of fighting the bosses, it's kind of a shame they won't get the true satisfaction of getting good and mastering the combat.
The bosses are definitely kind of a joke on easy mode. You can mostly cheese them out with the God Hand and roulette moves like Woolie's doing courtesy of their low health and the difficulty capping at level 2. People forget that the level system is where a lot of the game's real difficulty lies.
The way Gene loses his bracer and then re-grows it at will is just a more extreme version of Kenshiro re-growing his shirt after ripping it off every episode.
Oh boy a longer episode. Also I know Woolie doesn't want to grind for money much but I hope they at least show off the casino a bit and try to fight the secret boss in there.
djh491 that "secret boss" is the security gaurd right? He's more annoying than hard, just spams like one or two moves over and over and has way too much health.
Hey guys I don't want to sound like I'm mad about this, but you do know there is a sound cue when a dead enemy drops something? You have missed a few enemy drops, including the demon chest in this episode. I know you guys said that the game was insanely loud so you had to turn it way down. Maybe that's why you never hear it. I also know that these episodes are pre-recorded and you guys might have figured it out or have already finished the game. Still I thought I should let you know.
"Easily the best thing for you right now is the drunken fist..." The cursor's like 2 slots away from Drunken Twist. He's gonna say it. He's gonna say it and we're gonna start laming out every fight with DT. It's happeni-- "...kick. The fall back kick." Oh. Hmm. I don't know if I'm relieved or disappointed, honestly.
Did Woolie have a stroke? He went from throwing out guardbreaks randomly every two seconds to seeing an enemy guard and reacting with the launcher from neutral.
The voice of guitar man is actually Sam Riegel, the same guy that voices devil hand and the guy that I affectionately call "that guy that makes me think that the character he plays is actually played by Yuri Lowenthal but it isn't because it's Sam Riegel" Yes this happens to me all the time.
hey woolie, remember when you siad you can cancel into pretty much everything? how about trying to cancel into the gaurd break, you know...when they gaurd? I know the game can be a bitch but seriously, I hear even pat just shaking his head
Guitar guy AKA Ravel is voiced by Sam Reigel. He also voices Azel/Devil Hand, and some other characters. Kind of amusing to hear him playing a musician before the great Scanlan Shorthalt even existed...
Alex Taveras I've seen him and Joel vinesauce play it It's just that its hard to watch since they have to fumble about because they can't read Japanese
I love how Woolie actively had to be reminded that demons drop prizes in this game and outright didnt even check for the prize the second one dropped. Also it seems that Woolie is somehow getting worse as he goes on. lol
Woolie beats one boss with god hand and 2 roulette orbs. immediately gets bodied by other boss because his crutches are all gone and the game expects him to do basic mechanics.
Welcome back to god hand the far into the future sequel to god of war where kratos's body is split into multiple parts and give people stands if they touch them. But gene just decided to stick it onto his body.
One thing to remember when playing this game: take breaks often or when you start to feel it. This game is challenging, but wants you to succeed. It cheers you on every level up and let's you know it's disappointed with you every level down. Also the "heat up card" gives you several properties of Godhand, minus the invincibility and cancel speed boost of moves.
I like that when given the chance to make literally anything Woolie just makes Drunken Fist, which is super similar to Capoeira, which is a method of fighting I'm pretty sure he's actually said he wanted to learn at some point.
Wait a sec, if you sell moves wont demons just drop them again? Wouldn't it be better to keep/bank them so you are guaranteed a new, more expensive move? I never sold any moves so I wouldn't know EDIT: pahahaha it totally happened
I guess that's true but in the long run you could also never sell moves and not get that short term cash in then you'd have a much higher chance of getting the most expensive moves anyway when demons pop since you already have the lower end moves in the bank
Welcome back to another episode of lets player puts people gently to sleep and fighting game competitor misses every guard break on 2nd tier of easiest mode
Does Woolie not understand that guard breaks are there to break the block of the enemies? He went from guard breaking every other move to not guard breaking at all. Either way a fail.
Chin Music leads perfectly into triple side kick, which leads into triple snap kick. My set up has nothing but multihit moves ending with the elbow vortext and it works great.
Hey guys since they've announced a new Devil May Cry coming out can we get a retro play or two of the series so far before it comes out? Rauvel is just Jagi. Spiked boots, thinned bracers to finger gloves, jock-strap, spikes on a plate that's bolted onto a leather jacket. His head is just a Tiziano from JJBA:GW with Squalo's colours which works with the Italian theme. All the little HnK touches are the best.

So I've been trying out the Hand Plant Kick in my playthrough, and props to Woolie, it's super legit and really, really satisfying. It seems to be a full-on high crush, even though the game doesn't say so, which makes it perfect for countering out of a front-dodge, setting the enemy up for a juggle combo in the process. Even better, the hitbox is pretty generous, allowing it to double as a decent crowd control move. By the way, Left Jab is is not just good as a filler, it's a really good opener, because it has the fastest animation out of all the attacks, making it super safe and efficient for when you just want to get a quick little poke in there.
Guard breaking when you're sure is pretty tough. A nifty tactic is to be PROactive with it rather than reactive. 2-3 hits, guard break, side step, repeat until successful break. I struggled something fierce with this game until learning this.

N00BSYBORG You can cheese everything with god hand mode and roulette moves in normal too.
As soon as I saw that villager getting beat
As soon as they said there were going for the bat
I knew that guy would never make it off the boat
Woolie killed 2 innocents that day. That guy's daughter never got that medicine.
Now he will be Gutts forever.
Stuck on the boat.
More God Hand? I love it.
Edit: Woolie missed that chest from the second demon? I DON'T love it.
"GET OFF MY BUDDY!"
Woolie proceeds to beat his buddy to death with a steel club.
Woolie was going to say Get off my buddy, his life is my mine! but killed him too fast to finish.
The way Gene loses his bracer and then re-grows it at will is just a more extreme version of Kenshiro re-growing his shirt after ripping it off every episode.
Those guys are right, their defenses ARE impregnable. Woolie's at like 3 for 1,000,000 on guard break attempts right now.
Gene would work so well in SFV, HE'S ALREADY GOT A V-TRIGGER!!
If not then a special costume for Cody that makes him look like Gene.
But i want him in a good fighting game, how about tekken? or guilty gear?
but me bad at Guilty Gear.... well I'm bad at Street Fighter tbh -_-
slifer875 Gene’s a Capcom character so Street Fighter would make more sense.
slifer875 Wouldn't he fit better in a GOOD Marvel Vs Capcom game?
I wonder if Joseph should've asked Gene to tag along. Maybe Caesar would've been saved if Gene Ball Busted Wammu.
LightningZerker shit Gene this is the same italy
And Home Run Goded Kars?
Joseph wanted to send a message to Gene about it but, well, you know how bad Suzie Q is with telegrams.

You did it ! You broke down commedy to its bare essentials
Anyone else whenever Woolie says "oh no" imagine him as an echidna?
IGN's score for God Hand: 3
IGN's score for Silent Hill: Homecoming: 7
This is actually bullshit.
Forget about God Hand's score for a second. That Homecoming score is far more nonsensical.
A 3 doesn't underrate God Hand as much as a 7 _overrates_ Homecoming.
I thought giving God Hand a 3 was bs but giving Homecoming a 7? What the hell.
I demand to know Downpour's score.
The dude in this that they keep saying is Yuri Lowenthal is actually Sam Riegel.
Sam Riegel, the OTHER Yuri Lowenthal.
*see Amazing Spider-Man: the Game vs Spider-Man PS4
I do enjoy the way Gene flaps his arms around while doing the kick pummel.
Oh boy a longer episode. Also I know Woolie doesn't want to grind for money much but I hope they at least show off the casino a bit and try to fight the secret boss in there.
Mother fucker dies to mooks and has to blow god hand on any group of enemies over 2. What makes you think he can stand two seconds against that boss?
Knight-Errant The complete and utter smackdown is exactly why I want him to try it.
djh491 that "secret boss" is the security gaurd right? He's more annoying than hard, just spams like one or two moves over and over and has way too much health.
Tiger Festivals He's easy. He has the same moves of the wrestler mob
Meh the that guard is just an average big enemy with more health and does more DMG
Woolie needed to have a training arc before taking this game on.
9 parts and no Ball Buster. At least to my knowledge. I hope you're saving it.
Hey guys I don't want to sound like I'm mad about this, but you do know there is a sound cue when a dead enemy drops something? To guard-break as soon as you start your combo, or to not guard-break at all whatsoever? This is the duality of man.
"Easily the best thing for you right now is the drunken fist..."

Oh. Hmm. I don't know if I'm relieved or disappointed, honestly.
Woolie almost never needs to double backdash, and yet he has the audacity to triple backdash.
I am simply in awe at Woolie's guard break tech. It's so powerful, I can't believe he was never able to beat Daigo.
Gene is in not-Italy because he knows Part 5 is confirmed.
Rohan Kishibe and 『Heaven's Door』 He's getting ready to dance torture his opponents.
The boat should have peeled off a tarp to reveal a second boat.
Terry R. But where is Zipper Man!?
『Za God Hando』
Iamafishproductions Insert Bass sound effects here
Pat on woolies guard break is his new "drop your shield"
Did Woolie have a stroke? He went from throwing out guardbreaks randomly every two seconds to seeing an enemy guard and reacting with the launcher from neutral.
Yeah, after he put guardbreak on two buttons instead of one, he somehow stopped using it instead of spamming it. He's a medical marvel.
"I feel like you've taken a lot of hits to the back of the head in this LP" Jeez Pat, no need to be this harsh... Oh. You mean in-game.
Woolie the Lame and Pat the Blind missed a demon chest on the boat. Where's Matt the Vacuous with his 6 pairs of eyes?
>implying Matt is observant
The face gene shoots these ships when he has NO IDEA if they're bad or good is amazing to me.
The voice of guitar man is actually Sam Riegel, the same guy that voices devil hand and the guy that I affectionately call "that guy that makes me think that the character he plays is actually played by Yuri Lowenthal but it isn't because it's Sam Riegel"
Yes this happens to me all the time.
Though the mysterious evil band has been slain, they will live on in the hearts of Italian rock demon pirates everywhere.
hey woolie, remember when you siad you can cancel into pretty much everything? how about trying to cancel into the gaurd break, you know...when they gaurd? I know the game can be a bitch but seriously, I hear even pat just shaking his head

Hope pat and woolie and Matt do the fist of the North star game coming out
Matt played it a bit on his channel if you haven't seen that yet.
Alex Taveras
I've seen him and Joel vinesauce play it
It's just that its hard to watch since they have to fumble about because they can't read Japanese
ImmaLittlePip ahhh understandable
Wait, this isn’t it?
Standsonas No, this is Fist of the North Star: Happy Edition.
I screamed when Woolie ignored the chest from the demon.
Why is Itagaki and Akira one person in this game?
I love how Woolie actively had to be reminded that demons drop prizes in this game and outright didnt even check for the prize the second one dropped. Also it seems that Woolie is somehow getting worse as he goes on. lol
"These guys gotta die."
*Gene Dies*
I think the title art would have been more fitting if Pat was Olivia.
Wouldn't that make Woolie a woman beater? Are we pushing that now?
Does the devil-hand work on Olivia? God doesn't.
"Sonic was never good" -IGN
My favorite video of that was the one where someone edited that clip to be on Eggman’s little tablet thing from the Sonic Mania animation.
Richter The D what's the lowest scoring sonic game?
I think "That's one loud set of man boobs" is a perfect way to sum up the entierty of this game's writing
Woolie: *murders demon, ignores chest drop*
I luv u woolie
And in the end we were all the God hand
And that's the end of my story.
But if we're all the God Hand, then none of us are the God Hand.
Lucas Martinez If everyone has Reading Stiener, nobody does.
This game seems like it would be great to play with a modified fight stick.
this is hands down one of my fav lps in years
Woolie beats one boss with god hand and 2 roulette orbs. immediately gets bodied by other boss because his crutches are all gone and the game expects him to do basic mechanics.
Welcome back to god hand the far into the future sequel to god of war where kratos's body is split into multiple parts and give people stands if they touch them.
But gene just decided to stick it onto his body.
Isn't that literally Grandia 2?
Don't compare god hand to that trash please.
I feel like woolie is running into these punches and kicks sometimes...
Face to foot style.

*Is this La Anor Londo?*
I like to imagine that when Gene launches them into space, they come back by bouncing off the moon too hard...
*Gene whistling*
*Cody's whistle*
*Protoman's whistle*
I like that when given the chance to make literally anything Woolie just makes Drunken Fist, which is super similar to Capoeira, which is a method of fighting I'm pretty sure he's actually said he wanted to learn at some point.
Woolie maybe you should just put guard break on EVERY button.
Today on God Hand, Nero in his Guy Fieri cosplay kills Red Hot Chili Pepper, Hugo's circus cousin, and that guy from Soul Hackers.
Wait a sec, if you sell moves wont demons just drop them again? Wouldn't it be better to keep/bank them so you are guaranteed a new, more expensive move? I never sold any moves so I wouldn't know
EDIT: pahahaha it totally happened
Well its either sell moves for quick gain and have on screen progress or "so been grinding and got super huge."
I guess that's true but in the long run you could also never sell moves and not get that short term cash in then you'd have a much higher chance of getting the most expensive moves anyway when demons pop since you already have the lower end moves in the bank
Jesus Christ woolie is getting worse as time goes on
At this game or in general?
IGN scores
God Hand - 3/10
The dive at 0:52 - 8/10
33:10
Holy shit, Ornstien and Smough!?
Gene: "I have the power of the God-hand AND anime on my side!" *screaming*
Sam Riegal plays like 3 of every 4 characters in this game
According to IGN
God Hand - 3/10
ET the game - 3.5/10
Bull. Fucking. Shit.
ET had a game?
WHAT THE FUCK
How much deeper does the barrel of shitty games that IGN rated higher than Godhand go?
... ET could have been fairly called a 3.5 dogshit at the time.
God Hand was not 3 material during its time though.
3.5 is not low enough for that game. 3 is too low for THAT game.
Woolie... you lost your chance at an item box on the boat. It was that demon you killed. Every demon you kill always drops an item
Guitar dude has confirmed this game to be excellent
Wow!
Who would've thought that Dark Souls ripped Ornstein and Smough from God Hand...
Guitar guy's name is apparently Ravel and he's voiced by Sam Riegel.
Woolie is doing his best, but he still fails to make this game look bad.
Its just you've never done one on the channel before and would surely get you some trickle-down views from people searching for Devil May Cry to wet their appetite for the new one. You also have those remastered editions to enjoy instead of dealing with the originals.
Guitar guy has the obviously obnoxious and high pitched voice of Teddy.
"Is that Yosuke?"
Neither of them realise they missed the item dropped by the sword demon they beat on the boat. You can hear the sound of it dropping something but they don't turn around to look. And Woolie still refuses to guard break. At first i just thought it was bad reaction time but he doesn't even attempt it. Normally you see people throw them out either too early or too late, but at least they're trying.
Edit: Woolie somewhat improves at using the guard break in the last half of this video. Progress!
Dont forget to buy the Drunken Twist. That move's OP
So what are the odds we can ever see this on the switch. I'd pay up to 15 dollars to be able to play this on the go.
They'll probably just make it like ARMS but with Gene.
Setting that limit real high I see
If one day this game is on the switch is gonna be 60$ because of the nintendo tax
BlueBlazer if they fix the clipping I'll pay 20
Gef Abana it happened with dk wich is more expensive on the switch than on the wiiu and with TWEWY wich is full price Even though is a remaster from a ds game and is using a lot of assets from the iOS port
All that time playing FFXIV and Pat doesn't recognize Alphinaud's ARR voice immediately.
Getting some real Sonic 06 vibes from Italy here
Sidestep between juggling attacks for optimal crowd control action
I fucking love this games ost, one of the greatest ever!
Wait, Woolie's never finished God Hand before? I thought he said he beat it in part 1 or 2.
17:43
*You are about to witness the strength of Maddentown knowledge*
The way Pat talk about the enemy guarding makes it feel like its the hardest thing ever...
*its not hard to learn the pattern tho.....*
interesting side note, that second guitarist only shows up if you inspect the members, he is optional
Aliens in what is clearly bizarro Venice?
This tastes like a liar
That drum beat on the Italy stage keeps making me think Take On Me is playing in the background, AAAAAAAAAA.
BURRRRN!!! BURRRRN!!! BURRR!!!
*Whistles*
I LOve It!
WOW
niice
Woolie and Pat skipping over Right Roundhouse “I need a good move”
tbh I've wanted to cosplay Gene since episode 4 xD GOD HAND COSPLAYERS UNITE
12:42 Woolie still showing he doesn't know his right from his left
Woolie is getting better buuut Last Tip: Duck/Weave after all attacks to cancel out ANY attack's recovery time.
Is he going to figure out how to guard break any time soon
No.
14:47 I would think paige confirms your hits, pat.
that boat section looks like a minigame from an arcade cabinet set of a bunch of minigames.
This week in SBFP don't know shit about English voice actors:
That guitar playing boss, Ravel, who Pat confused for Yuri Lowenthal is actually voiced by Sam Riegel who you might know from like 70% of the male characters in this very game including Azel and Felix (The tall guy from the trio boss fights). You may also know Mr. Riegel as; Teddie (P4G, P4A, P4AU, P4DAN and P4TA), Viral (TTGL), Shirou Emiya ( Fate Stay/Night 2006), Donatello (TMNT 2003), Phoenix Wright ( Spirit of Justice, Dual Destinies, and UMVC3), and/or many others.
Woolie is unlearning fighting game mechanics. Its actually quite interesting in scientific observation sense.
Woolie gets rekt with the hand of God episode 9
38 minutes?! What god do I have to thank for this?
I thought so! Azel and a bunch of other characters (Including the guitar guy) were voiced by Sam Riegel. Same guy who voiced Teddie
Guard breaking when you're sure is pretty tough. A nifty tactic is to be PROactive with it rather than reactive. 2-3 hits, guard break, side step, repeat until successful break. I struggled something fierce with this game until learning this.
