Bruh something sounds wierd in your mic audio, mix is fine, you're perfectly intelligible but i'm hearing distortion or something. I think you're maybe just clipping. Hmu if i can do anything to help ;) oh btw great series XD
Likely because George Lucas's standards for the mental capacity of the average child is rarely met by the writers/presenters channels who focus on reviewing movies online, with cinema wins being the most notable exception, and yourself selling your reviews on being so well thought out a movie can take longer to review than the movie itself.
Hey man, you said that the assassin Obi Wan and Anakin caught could only have one transformation. Well, if you watch the firt episodes of the second season of the clone wars, you will realize that her species can chance all they want, but they HAVE to touch the person they are changing into. Maybe she could have changed to another person, but my comment is not about her decisions, I just wanted to point out something for ya
All the instances of him stating so (some of these may just be his intuition but still): "There is a great disturbance in the force." "We have a new enemy, the young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker" "Search your feelings, Lord Vader, you will know it to be true. He could destroy us." "The force is strong with him, the son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi." "And now I sense you wish to continue your search for young Skywalker." "Patience, my friend. In time he will seek you out and when he does, you will bring him before me. He has grown strong, only *together* can we turn him to the dark side of the force." "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen." "Soon the Rebellion will be crushed and young Skywalker will be one of us." "I have foreseen it. His compassion for you will be his undoing. He will come to you, and then you will bring him before me." "Welcome, young Skywalker. I have been expecting you." "In time you will call me master." "You will find it is you who are mistaken... about a great many things." "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design." "With each passing moments you make yourself more my servant." "It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now... mine." "Your fleet is lost, and your friends on the Endor moon will not survive. There is no escape... my _young_ apprentice. The Alliance will die... as will your friends." "Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!" "Now... fulfill your destiny... take your fathers place at my side." "You will pay the price for your lack of vision!"
Someone made a great observation about Sidious being surprised when Padme chooses to risk her life to return to Naboo to save her people and how he learned from that and realized that Luke would have the same compassion for his father that his mother had for her people. Which is why he predicted Luke would come to Vader.
"The Politics are boring and I normally skip them, I just want Star Wars to be simple"-Internet reviewer "I don't understand the plot of the Prequel films"- The same reviewer
Then he ruins that moment by going on about the specs of the speeder and talking about how all the things about the speeder he liked and it’s just super super forced and unnecessary So many scenes feel like this, it starts out so cool and you’re like “oh shit something cool is about to happen” but it goes on, and on and on until you’re so fucking bored By the time the clones show up it isn’t even interesting. Lucas made an entire army of Jedi fucking boring, that’s supposed to be a badass edge-of-your-seat moment but it’s so fucking dry and devoid of life
Captain Rex and for some reason there is this idea that Star Wars is a kids movie... which is is not, and never has been, until they made a series directly marketed towards kids which was rebels... The idea that you have to be in a childlike mindset to enjoy the movie doesn’t make it good, I’ve seen so many people say “as a kid this was good” because well no shit when you have a child’s brain simpler things are entertaining. You see Yoda do ninja flips and think “wow so cool” and don’t care about all the boring shit because it’s just filler until you get to the next lightsaber fight that goes on for 20 minutes...
@@Ajaws No your talking for yourself. I enjoy the story of the movies and the characters find some awkward dialogue and bad acting don't do much for me I can still enjoy it.
Maybe because a new hope didn’t need to set any of this up the point was it was rebellion vs empire. The prequels were built around EXPLAINING the issue therefore you have an obligation to explain what’s going on and why it’s going on these were the movies that were supposed to show why these things are happening and it does a bad job. Also it’s pretty simple to tell why there is a rebellion against an empire.
@@brendanbelman893 Exactly how did The Prequels do a bad job explaining how The New Republic turned into The Empire? And no The Originals do not 'simply' explain why there is a rebellion against The Empire.
Brendan Belman « it’s pretty simple to tell why there is a rebellion against an empire » Eh... No. like... Not at all. There are so many causes for rebellions and so many types of rebellions that merely saying there is a rebellion tels you nothing more than there is a rebellion. In fact, without more information, you can’t even tell if it’s because people are dissatisfied with the regime in place, or if it’s because there are people who would like a bigger piece of the cake of the current system, like nobles in a feudal regime rebelling not to overthrow the feudal system but to go up the hierarchy. As for the prequels not explaining the OT’s situation well... Yes it does. It doesn’t explain its own settings much, beyond saying that the Republic is there since thousands of years, that jedi protect it (probably one of the reason why it’s there since so long), that sith are an old power that wants to take back the galaxy and that oppose the jedi, and that the current status quo is that the Republic is in a state of danger from internal corruption even though there are still idealistic individuals to protect it (jedi and politicians), all of this being said in ep mI mind you, which is more than enough for us to understand said setting, even though it’s not very detailed. But it does explain the OT’s settings in a lot of details. The senate ? It comes from the Republic, why, we know what it was, and how it operated, and why the Emperor couldn’t get rid of it earlier. The Rebellion ? A combination of idealistic and faithful individuals, and the fact that the republic of old, even at the dusk of its existence still upheld high concepts of justice, and brought prosperity and freedom to many. How could one man kill all the jedi ? A purge that was possible by infiltrating the republic, allowing one man to destroy thousands despite him never having a chance in hell to do it alone, and despite the jedi being beloved and highly respected figures. How did the jedi order operate and how did it allow for its own downfall ? Their adherence to their concepts was too rigid, despite these being at least partially right, and their millennia of success lead to more prideful generations of jedi, and their peerless wisdom and vision was obscured by a clever mix of sith powers and political maneuvering that side blinded them to Palpatine’s machinations, allowing him to isolate them from one another, and destroy their public image after their doom was complete. I could go on and on, but the fact is that the prequels did explain pretty well why the OT was the way it was.
I don't understand why Cosmonaut struggles so much with understanding the plot of this movie. I'd say Attack of the Clones has the most straightforward plot in the entire prequel trilogy.
Sollar Viccel right! I can give you the entire plot by memory (and I have in response to a childish prequel hater who just can’t believe that someone actually has a brain that can process a story) and I’ve only seen the movie 3 times.... And no I’m not repeating the plot again
The Saga continues and my goodness CVH voice can be so grating. Also, Natalie Portman had a midriff in Attack of the Clones, so clearly it's the superior film.
M;H Vader is not thrown off by Leia’s resistance to the mind probe, Luke runs out of a warm cave to freeze to death in the middle of a blizzard after severing a discount yeti’s arm, Death Star 2.0. They’re there
@@kurtisrasmussen2156 There are plot holes in all stories, some aren't that big a deal (like the ones you mentioned) and others are a huge headache (like in the sequels). Besides those you listed sound mostly like nitpicking, and aren't on the same level as in Ep7-9.
This guy believes The Clone Wars was made by people who hate the prequels despite everyone with a braincell left being able to tell its a love letter to the entire universe they stablished
True. In fact, I'm 90% sure I once saw an interview with Dave Filoni where he said he loved what George did with the prequels, and he wanted to fill in the gaps and make them better.
He also says "So glad George Lucas didn't work on the Clone wars" despite Lucas being the one who made the ideas[such as Maul return] and the story board
That makes sense since GL considers himself an experimental director who rather make tone poems than conventional feature films. Hell, his first full length feature, THX-1138, is very much a tone poem.
Can I just say, I LOVE your explanation of Palpatine's schemes in this film. Even though I've always liked this movie, I was never able to completely follow what the plan was. Thanks Anomaly! Also, 30:28. ROFL!!!
Adam Wasiura so because George Lucas had a directing team he is a fraud? Every single movie has a rough cut. Also empire strikes back was saved in the rough cut by George himself. Anomaly inc also talked a video.
Everytime someone says “oh his plan sucks because is based on chance” I reply with “just like every plan like ever 😐” nothing is certain, plans are all about chance and hoping it’ll work out
Dragon Of dojima That’s not exactly true. There are plans which are designed to take into account every possible outcome, though most good plans (in fiction or real life) only go so far as to plan for every likely outcome.
Dragon Of dojima Eh... No ? Precisely because y takes into account every possibility ? I mean, at worst it doesn’t take into account possibilities such as « then a church falls on y’all and you’re all dead », but I’m pretty sure that’s not the type of chance you’re talking about ^^
Nathan Jora what i meant was that even if you take into account any possibility nothing is certain with a plan and that even if you’re prepared for the worst, it’s still based on chance
Cosmonaut still hasn’t realized that obi wan is a hypocrite. He talks about them not having character traits but he can’t even see one of the most glaring ones in Obi Wan’s character.
@@Ajaws you watch anomaly and you think I'm unique here? Mark literally says to Rian, "we gotta think about the fans" what is Rian's response? "No." The customer is always right.
Snake Was Right yeah I watch it.... it’s “you’re a fucking idiot” for 40 minutes and giving horribly shallow excuses for massive plot holes in substandard Star Wars films...
@@Ajaws Funny because what he is saying applies to you. Dude, you are a fucking idiot if you think for one goddamn second that Rian actually thought about the fans when making The Last Jedi
RLM is severely overrated. I cannot comprehend why they have a large following. Three middle-aged bitter trolls with an awful taste in films.... Sign me up (not really).
Dude, they have a variety of shows, great production values, some of the best editing on RUclips and a rather unique sense of humor and way to approach film criticism. Even if they have some bad takes it is not hard to see why they are popular
Palpatine’s plots in The Phatom Menace and Attack of the Clones do make sense if you lay them out point by point but George, in his Revenge of the Sith commentary, stated they were meant to be complicated and somewhat confusing until you saw the final movie, then, having all the information, you could go back to clearly see where they were going. It also makes sense that the plans are difficult to understand so that no character in universe could easily figure them out.
@@tomnorton4277 Sidious: You know, Marcus, the galaxy is in a state of chaos. The Republic isn’t really doing its job, nor is the senate. So I was thinking, what if the Republic was organized into an Empire? That way there would be much more order because at the end of the day, only the word of the Emperor matters. Any thoughts? Cosmonaut: Sure, the galaxy should be simple. It’s too complicated for me to understand what’s going on nowadays so why not just join an Empire? I’m with you! Sidious: Wow, that was easy. Uh, I mean, goooood....
@@cashthecurator666I remember George saying in the ROTS commentary that people not wanting anything to do with politics is why they give all it all away. Anakin in AOTC complaining about getting a political lecture from Obi-Wan is a funny way to parallel people’s complaints about politics in TPM.
What's funny about the boring politics arguments is that the American Revolution and the Clone Wars are similar at least in terms of cause Making me wonder how many OT fan boys failed basic history because it was too boring
Problem is a lot of these people who hate the prequels are low attention span people. My favorite subjects in school were history and Mathematics. So I'm able to watch the prequel that sort of a allegory of how a good government becomes bad.
I'm a history enthusiast, so I really appreciated the parallels the prequels made with the fall of the Roman republic and rise of the Roman empire. Really neat stuff there if you know your history, they're the type of films that reward good attention spans. That's probably why I also enjoyed the power politics and the Jedi/Sith lore, because history, politics, and religion are inherently tied to one another.
The_Lost_Son To be fair : 1) a movie (even a historical movie) isn’t a history lesson 2) a widely acknowledged problem in education is the difficulty to make lessons not boring All in all it could be a valid point if only... Well if only the politic in these movies occupied more place and was less well done. Fortunately, the politics is well done and doesn’t occupy too much of the screen time, meaning this is a case of them having tastes not fit for this movie, not this movie failing.
I used to believe people like cosmonaut and RLM but then I went back and actually watched the films and I enjoyed them and agree with a lot of things you say
Same. I was just a sheep who did it solely because he and many others did it. I did however never dislike them that much thou. The sequels however I have been iffy about since they were released. Not only because of the lack of own identity but because they try to be modern and to be Marvel rather than Star Wars and therefore come of as something else #notmystarwars.
@@anomalyinc3239 Well, AOTC is probably the most heavily criticised (except maybe TPM) and it's also my personal favourite of all six. It's also sorely misunderstood and misconstrued, I've never had a problem with the "I don't like sand" line and I never will.
@@VinVonVoom I have never heard anybody say that AOTC is their favourite SW movie from GL, not that that's a bad thing :D. But I'm curious, why is AOTC your favourite? This was a very late reply btw xD
I really hope these blow up the way MauLer's response series have done. They deserve it. I understood Palpatine's plan just fine ever since I was 10 (minus a few specific political terms), but the way you explain its true depth still brings a smile to my face. Palpatine was incredibly patient in his plotting, and executed it flawlessly to the letter, just as you are patient with this series, and execute it perfectly.
No joke i was in an argument with one of my friends about the prequels vs the sequels. Mid way into the argument he pulls up the cosmonaut variety hour prequel video and is like "here look at this video it shows why there bad". I and just sat there in realization that his whole stupid argument was based off of that fucking video. He literally thinks the prequels suck just because cosmonaut said they did. To put more icing on the cake he told me that anakin skywalker wasn't in the phantom menace. Just let that sink in.
I have those arguments all the time whe ever it's brought up on the Micah and The Hatman channel. I think a moderator on there says Revenge of the sith is a terrible film. Also he apparently claims The Rise of Skywalker is the second best star wars film lol. I need to find where he said that.
He actually said Anakin wasn't in Ep1? 😂. That's the problem with Prequel Bashers: its clear they haven't watched the films in a long time, or didn't pay attention; then have the nerve to use videos like that cosmonaut guy as creditable proof.
Next time respond you really liked Yoda in IV and see the response. If they take the bait you can tell they reallyjust watched ONLY the Disney drivel (bar RO, the good one).
I saw the whole Jango/Zam chain of events in a much more simple way: Jango set Zam up as a patsy, knowing she was going to die. Remember, Jango's the one who provided Zam the worms and instructed her to use them. He then proceeded to kill her once she was in Jedi custody in full view with a means that was traceable. This both lures the Jedi after him while still making it clear that there was a danger if Padme remained on Coruscant, prompting her exodus to Naboo. Like you point out, Dooku and by extension Sidious don't want Padme dead and need to get the Jedi to discover the armies on their own. Jango executes this perfectly.
@@atrapanasatromhtos9426 The two jedi are on guard duty to protect a senator who has already had an attempted assassination and they are expecting more attempts. They sense some form of danger in her room, and rush over and see 2 worms. I think it was pretty safe to assume that they were lethal.
I think the worst thing about Cosmonauts video is the fact that he treats all the people who like these movies as idiots. When really they are much smarter and more honest than he will ever be.
That's the case with all Prequel haters. Even Doug Walker. I love the guy but my god, he's a complete idiot when it comes to Star Wars (not just the Prequels but Star Wars in general), which is weird because he can actually be very insightful about other movies. I don't know how insightful intelligence and unbelievable stupidity can exist in one person but Doug somehow combines both of them together.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that Mark Hamill intro describing the deception of the TPvGL filmmakers trying to essentially use entrapment to lure him into meeting them. Mark really is a Jedi sometimes.
Why is it that all the prequel-hating hacks have the most ANNOYING voices ever? I tried to watch the original video and just could not deal with the guy's snotty tone of voice.
Systems wanted to leave republic because republic had many problems. Its not coincidence that Trade Federation, Techno Union, Banking Clan, Commerce Guild and Corporate Alliance made pact with Dooku to build army to overwhelm Jedi, but they were going into Palpatine's and Dooku's trap.
Anomaly, if you do watch The Clone Wars 2008 series in all its entirety, can you make a defense against TCW "fans" attacking the Prequel Trilogy? Its really disconcerting seeing casual SW "fans" trying to turn TCW against the Prequels, saying that the cartoon "redeemed" the PT and "fixed" their mistakes, and some even suggesting that it should replace Revenge of the Sith!
@Таня Медведева I like The Clone Wars CG series, but it does contradict some established stuff both in the movies and Expanded Universe lore. And the fact that Prequel haters are using it as a weapon is even worse.
Good idea. I think Lanter's Anakin feeling so different despite being the same character as Hayden makes the comparison even more unfavourable to the prequels. I prefer Hayden Anakin btw
@Таня Медведева I figured it was Episode 2 given it's close proximity to TCW timeline wise (that's why I said *or* not and, sorry for the confusion). I don't think that's contradictory to Episode 2 given that we don't actually see that that guy is Eeth in the movie. I still always looked at TCW as non-canon anyway (not because it's bad, far from it, it just feels like a different universe).
Here are all the times the emperor's foresight is mentioned in the OT to make Cosmo look like an even bigger idiot (some of this is probably intuition): "There is a great disturbance in the force." "We have a new enemy, the young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker" "Search your feelings, Lord Vader, you will know it to be true. He could destroy us." "The force is strong with him, the son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi." "Luke. We can destroy the emperor, he has foreseen this." "And now I sense you wish to continue your search for young Skywalker" "Patience, my friend. In time he will seek you out and when he does, you will bring him before me. He will come to you, and then you will bring him before me." "Welcome, young Skywalker. I have been expecting you." "In time you will call me master." "You will find it is you who are mistaken... about a great many things." "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design" "With each passing moments you make yourself more my servant." "It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now... mine." "Your fleet is lost, and your friends on the Endor moon will not survive. There is no escape... my _young_ apprentice. The Alliance will die... as will your friends." "Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!" "Now... fulfill your destiny... take your fathers place at my side." "You will pay the price for your lack of vision."
@Grapthar's Hebrew Hammer They talk about it much less in the prequels because having your villain be able to see the future isn't conducive to good story-telling and he clearly doesn't have that ability to the same extent yet. What I'm saying is that Lucas absolutely accounted for Cosmo's complaint about Palpatine's schemes, unfortunately he completely misconstrued/misunderstood what they are so he can hate the prequels more.
That segment where Cosmo starts flipping out over the assassination plot was like listening to nails on a chalkboard.. I genuinely had to pause and take a break because of how infuriating that was. And I can only imagine what it was like having to rehear over and over again while editing... Uhg. Thank you again for this series pappa Anomaly. MTFBWY
Cosmo's argument really melted my brain. Like has he not seen the hundreds of films where a lackey fails in their job, gets caught and is about to give up secrets then gets killed by their boss/boss' second in command/another higher up henchman.
I can't wait for Anomaly's reacton to CVH's second breakdown over AoTC where he has the gall to insinuate that The Last Jedi is better than this movie.
As he was talking about the assassination my IQ was going down every 2 seconds. My intelligence was going down. I at least watch the movies And understand the plot better than these OT fanboys.

@ Yeah, sorry that Anakin was raised as a Jedi and because attachment was forbidden he became socially awkward, if George would've made Anakin good at flirting you wouldn't even mind that it wouldn't make any sense

Anomaly Inc you think you are smarter than the RLM Guys.? All i hear from you is fanboy stuff. Even George Lucas admitted he can‘t write good dialoge. How should i enjoy a trilogy full of garbage cringe dialoge.? i mean every scene has bad dialoge.
@ First off kid, I'll take the dialogue in the Prequels or the shit dialogue from the sequel trilogy. Second if you actually did any research you would know that while the dialogue is clunky in some places Lucas has said he made the films 1-6 to emulate the old silent films; where facial expressions play a major part. It's why if you were to watch the movies in another language, you can get a good sense of what's going on by the actors' facial expressions. And thirdly, RLM are highly overrated. They get some much shit wrong about The Prequels and in some instances fail to explain what point they were trying to make. It's why we still get fools like you acting like they are the holy grail as to what's wrong with The Prequels.
There's a channel I just found called Rick Worley, I'd say check out some of his work on the prequels as he dissects the artist criticisms against the prequels. Thought if anything else his work would be interesting as he's another prequelist. Not in the same vein but similar
What i hate the most about prequel bashers is that they say things like midichlorians and yoda lightsaber are "inconsistant", when they also bitch n moan about the prequels being consistent with say the clone wars line in ep 4.
As a fighting game fan to me it's Star Wars prequels = Soulcalibur underrated gems overlooked by most Star Wars originals = Tekken good but put on a high pedestal and the fans are toxic.
@@aryaadityapurbadi5527 Mortal Kombat 3D era is underrated for sure but Tekken fans are the most toxic fighting game fans around they call you a Smash player if you prefer DOA, Soulcalibur or even Street Fighter over Tekken. He’s honestly trying to make the argument that palpatine is as dumb as he actually ends up in TROS he tells Kylo to kill the girl and then is like hey rey bey you were always a part of the plan and I need you granbaby. How could you walk away from attack of the clones saying palpatine wanted padme dead when he suggests that the Jedi protect her?? 😂

To be fair my 12 year old cousin watch the phantom menace and AOTC for the first time and she didnt know what the story was but she liked it because there where lightsabers. I needed to explain actual government and what senate, democracy, republic etc. So I had to explain the whole story to her.
I’d really like to see Mauler and Anomaly Inc interact. Granted Mauler thinks they are objectively bad movies but he has said he subjectively likes them. Still I think it would be cool.
Mauler made the mistake of listening to RLM. The Prequels are objectively good movies but RLM tricked many people, including Mauler, into thinking they're bad.
Worst plot in SW? *Laughs* *in* *Last* *Jedi* *and* *Rise* *of* *Skywalker* TPM incomprehensible? Dude have you seen rise of skywalker? That movie made me do mental jumping jacks. Find a mguffin to find another mguffin to go to somewhere else while doing multiple things at the same time and things just happen
Yup. How to not being able to handle plot devices, that is The Rise of Skywalker in a nutshell. It’s pretty ironic that the main character is a plot device herself if you think about it. She has hardly had any arc, can just do stuff without trying (which any other character haven’t been able to until this point and when it has been established that that is required) and is just there to carry something (the plot) from point A to B with hardly any motivations whatsoever driving her to do so.
There are those who look at film as just pure entertainment and with that it's usually desired to have instant gratification along with. Then there are those who see the art of layered story telling, like star wars. We know who we are. 👌🔥
You’ve been able to refute cosmonauts points so much to the point where it doesn’t even sound like he’s watched all the movies, yet he says he LoVeS sTaR wArS
Nicely laid out, it's incredibly gratifying to hear a smug self important fool set right. If only more people did their fact checking as you have. I applaud this series. You clearly have the high ground. 🎉
With the assassination argument, Jango Fett has another goal. He shoots Zam Wesell with a specific Kaminoan dart, so he could be tracked. If he jsut used a blaster, Obi wan would never have foud the clones.
Cosmonaut complains when things are directly explained, and then also complains when things aren't directly explained, and then gets mad that he can't understand simple shit, then nitpicks random shit to prove he's "right". Nice.
I love the Prequels more than the OT to be honest and I am so glad that I found your videos. It just shows that the majority of the Haters doesn't know what the hell they're talking about.
I just wanna say this. In the originals were shown that palpatine has complete control over the galaxy. So when George announced PREQUELS, isn’t it kind of implied that somewhere along the way politics were involved? How else would he maintain control over an evil regime that controls the galaxy? You could say he would launch a coup but by doing that his rebellion problem would be a lot bigger than it already was in the OT. By launching a coup and just walking in and demanding control with no reason, the whole galaxy would be against him. Manipulating the galactic government to his favor and support is clearly his only option. And need I remind people that tarkin briefly mentions the old republic in ANH. Golly he didn’t even listen to what he claims to be his favorite movie. If palpatine used just lightsabers and space battles as OT fanatics suggest without any logic then palpatines enemies would MULTIPLY by a ton than what we see in the OT. Prequel haters better just stfu unless they can come up with better and more logical take than what we were shown
I love that most of them think that George was illogical and it was just to show cool things, when in actuality GL presented things in a more logical way than their ideas. Like that idea the "critics" had to not split up and just hack thru the droids (aka, mindless violence with no strategy from the Jedi) that would most certainly get them killed.
Sometimes I really wish George could see these and record his reactions! After all the hate he got, someone is finally here with common sense to disprove all the bullshit.
On the internet some user wanted to tell me that Count Dooku was underdeveloped in "Attack of the Clones" eventhough: • Former Jedi Apprentice to Yoda • Former Jedi Master to Qui-Gon • Sith Apprentice of Darth Sidious under the Sith name Darth Tyranus • He got Jango Fett to make the Clone Army • Leader of the Separatists Why do people used that argument to explain why Snoke was underdeveloped in "The Last Jedi"? Makes no sense.
Sorry you know what "character development" or "character depth " is What you mentioned are background info by this logic 70% of bland villians should have been considered GoOd villains
@@a.f9234 But that background info is at least something. Snoke had zero info excluding that he trained Kylo Ren. When I watched AOTC I understood who and what Count Dooku was but by watching TFA/TLJ I didn't understand who or what Snoke was. Don't get started on TROS retcons because they don't match the character in TLJ at all. Count Dooku isn't bland he very interesting.
@Grapthar's Hebrew Hammer JJ Abrams explained it but Rian Johnson didn't. by the second film of a trilogy an audience member should know most of the important characters involved. AOTC did this quite well and TLJ didn't. Also yes ROTS had Grievous and did not explain his backstory but you know his deal and purpose in the story. He is the general for the CIS but he isn't that important to the story than him being the last important person in the CIS.
@@modmaker7617 yes technically Snoke is worse but Dooku is more Interesting and intimidating in Clone wars cartoon for me Most of the prequel villians are iconic but because they are so much of them in one trilogy it can't have a good focus one any of them except Palpatine he is great
Attack of the clones had it´s moments. In a cheesy old Flash Gordon serial kind of way. Your videos make want to watch it again soon. The scene with Watto was great.
I feel like critical thinking and actually watching the prequels is a bit too hard for him to comprehend, but at the same time it’s been like idk 10 years since I last watched the TPM and/or AOTC and I can remember what the hell’s going on, though vaguely I mind you. How can you get so lazy to understand what is happening in these movies when it is literally said what is going to happen?! I’m shook right now.
I have not heard a convincing argument that the Phantom Menace is bad other than the force run. Being boring is an opinion. I personally didn't find it boring. If you say there's no main character and therefore it's bad. Well by that logic Star Trek (other than newer shows since they have Main characters) also sucks. But I'd say it's Qui Gon Jin.
Also pulp fiction. And probably 2001 a space odessy (am I spelling that right). Not to mention the stormlight archives by Brandon Sanderson, which has multiple main characters, which by cosmonauts definition means it has none (arguments can be made that Padmá, obi wan, and possibly Anakin are main characters in conjunction with qui gon Jin, which is seemingly what leads cosmonaut to be confused as to who the main character is)
So many people say that it’s “boring”. However when I look between the politics in the prequels and the current events in today’s America (manly around Trump) I can see how it relates. So Star Wars politics are so BORING! I think not
What's wrong with force speed? It's used twice in the movies and never again but I don't see how it changes much. If you're talking about Obi-Wan catching up with Qui-Gon in the reactor core then 1. There's different context, fighting droids is like a stroll around the block for a Jedi so it doesn't take much effort or force but fighting a trained Sith Assassin is a different story and 2. He would've just fell into the pit if he did that anyway.
41:35 Knowing as we do that Palpatine doesn't want to kill Padme (as only the precautions he personally insists Padme takes prevent Zam's assassination attempts from succeeding) and that he wanted the clone army to be discovered by the Republic I doubt that Jango was actually hired to kill Padme. More likely he was hired to make credible attempts on Padme's life while planting evidence that would lead to Kamino. So even if this was a great opportunity to kill Padme there's no reason for Jango to take it. Killing the rookie bounty hunter he hired as a "fall guy" with the distinctive saberdart fulfills his contract. Personally I think that the bugs Jango instructs Zam to use were also meant to be a clue, perhaps pointing to Geonosis, that Obi-Wan just failed to find. This would show the well thought-out and multilayered nature of Palpatine's schemes. Even if parts rely on luck if you give someone enough chances they'll eventually get lucky. I also believe that the later seemingly irrelevant detail of the Kaminoans' clone army being commissioned by the long dead Master Sifo-Dyas is another example. A mysterious message from Sifo-Dyas pointing to Kamino would probably be trivial for Palpatine to produce when needed.
Tbh I think the only thing Cosmonaut has said that I agree with is his praise towards TCW. But even that contradicts what he says about the Prequels. "Star Wars should be simple" - TCW is prequel politics diled up to 11 with war profiteering, terrorist attacks to prevent peace negotiations, how the war has affected the people of Coruscant and exploring the seperatist point of view. Why does that show get a pass?
Its like cosmonaut has never seen a mafia film. His understanding of hit jobs and how jango hires zam is so lacking it demonstrates he doesnt know how crime works.
John DiPlacido yeah. You could pretty easily just flip his complaint around and say how cool it is that they hired so many hit men down the chain to get the job done. I mean, that’s what made it so hard for Obi-Wan to track down Jango in the first place.
@@Misery7531RedLetterMedia had the worst. Sounds like he’s gurgling through lard and mayonnaise and spouts nonsense on top of it. Cosmonaut is annoying but his voice is bearable😂

Likely because George Lucas's standards for the mental capacity of the average child is rarely met by the writers/presenters channels who focus on reviewing movies online, with cinema wins being the most notable exception, and yourself selling your reviews on being so well thought out a movie can take longer to review than the movie itself.

Palpatine in the original trilogy literally talks about foreseeing things all the time.
"Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen" -Palpatine in Return Of The Jedi
All the instances of him stating so (some of these may just be his intuition but still):
"There is a great disturbance in the force."
"We have a new enemy, the young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker"
"Search your feelings, Lord Vader, you will know it to be true. He could destroy us."
"The force is strong with him, the son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi."
"And now I sense you wish to continue your search for young Skywalker."
"Patience, my friend. In time he will seek you out and when he does, you will bring him before me. He has grown strong, only *together* can we turn him to the dark side of the force."
"Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen."
"Soon the Rebellion will be crushed and young Skywalker will be one of us."
"I have foreseen it. His compassion for you will be his undoing. He will come to you, and then you will bring him before me."
"Welcome, young Skywalker. I have been expecting you."
"In time you will call me master."
"You will find it is you who are mistaken... about a great many things."
"Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design."
"With each passing moments you make yourself more my servant."
"It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now... mine."
"Your fleet is lost, and your friends on the Endor moon will not survive. There is no escape... my _young_ apprentice. The Alliance will die... as will your friends."
"Strike me down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards the dark side will be complete!"
"Now... fulfill your destiny... take your fathers place at my side."
"You will pay the price for your lack of vision!"

Someone made a great observation about Sidious being surprised when Padme chooses to risk her life to return to Naboo to save her people and how he learned from that and realized that Luke would have the same compassion for his father that his mother had for her people. Which is why he predicted Luke would come to Vader.

Captain Rex I’m talking for any sane individual who enjoys movie scripts...
I find it ironic that he’s bothered by the opening crawl when the opening crawl of A New Hope doesn’t tell us why the Rebels are rebelling at all.
That's the problem you see a lot with Prequel Bashers.
exactly
Brendan Belman « it’s pretty simple to tell why there is a rebellion against an empire »
Eh... No. like...
It's because Cosmonaut's a fucking idiot.

Or maybe the prequels just never portrayed the plot clearly enough. There’s a reason people aren’t fond of them in the first place :/
The Saga continues and my goodness CVH voice can be so grating. Also, Natalie Portman had a midriff in Attack of the Clones, so clearly it's the superior film.

2) a widely acknowledged problem in education is the difficulty to make lessons not boring
All in all it could be a valid point if only... Well if only the politic in these movies occupied more place and was less well done.
Fortunately, the politics is well done and doesn’t occupy too much of the screen time, meaning this is a case of them having tastes not fit for this movie, not this movie failing.

Also there is no way in hell they thought the worms would kill her.For all we now they might have even been non lethal.

I still always looked at TCW as non-canon anyway (not because it's bad, far from it, it just feels like a different universe).
Did this guy even watch the movies?? He consistently demonstrates a lack of understanding about even the most basic plot points.
he did the exact same with jojo’s bizarre adventure infact he straight up admitted that he hadn’t seen the show in years
Here are all the times the emperor's foresight is mentioned in the OT to make Cosmo look like an even bigger idiot (some of this is probably intuition):
"There is a great disturbance in the force." "We have a new enemy, the young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. He has grown strong, only *together* can we turn him to the dark side of the force" "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen." "Soon the Rebellion will be crushed and young Skywalker will be one of us." "I have foreseen it. His compassion for you will be his undoing. He will come to you, and then you will bring him before me." "Welcome, young Skywalker. I have been expecting you." "In time you will call me master." "You will find it is you who are mistaken... about a great many things." "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design" "With each passing moments you make yourself more my servant." "It is unavoidable.

I've been looking forward to this...
I can't wait till you go after RLM. It's clear you're saving it for last.
yep
Dead Purple man you fanboys are sick for calling the prequels good. i liked them as a kid but as a grown up you gotta be dumb to like the dialoge in this trilogy.
I've been looking forward to this

What i hate the most about prequel bashers is that they say things like midichlorians and yoda lightsaber are "inconsistant", when they also bitch n moan about the prequels being consistent with say the clone wars line in ep 4.
As a fighting game fan to me it's Star Wars prequels = Soulcalibur underrated gems overlooked by most Star Wars originals = Tekken good but put on a high pedestal and the fans are toxic.
To me, Star Wars original trilogy = Mortal Kombat original trilogy. While Star Wars prequel trilogy = Mortal Kombat 3D era.
@@aryaadityapurbadi5527 Mortal Kombat 3D era is underrated for sure but Tekken fans are the most toxic fighting game fans around they call you a Smash player if you prefer DOA, Soulcalibur or even Street Fighter over Tekken. To be fair my 12 year old cousin watch the phantom menace and AOTC for the first time and she didnt know what the story was but she liked it because there where lightsabers. I needed to explain actual government and what senate, democracy, republic etc. So I had to explain the whole story to her.

I'm getting a shirt and hat for sure.
*Laughs* *in* *Last* *Jedi* *and* *Rise* *of* *Skywalker*
TPM incomprehensible?
Cosmonaut is one of the biggest hypocrites I have ever seen.

With the assassination argument, Jango Fett has another goal. He shoots Zam Wesell with a specific Kaminoan dart, so he could be tracked. If he jsut used a blaster, Obi wan would never have foud the clones.
"Why doesnt jango fett kill her himself instead of hiring another to do it for him?"
Have you ever heard of something called subcontract?

I love the Prequels more than the OT to be honest and I am so glad that I found your videos. It just shows that the majority of the Haters doesn't know what the hell they're talking about.
Such a great series! Was turned on to your dumb and dumber game of thrones lmao and i dont even watched the show
Time to make popcorn and watch the most satisfying series on youtube ! Nice videos, keep it up !
@@dancorneanu9144 Prequel haters are idiots. Those who aren't outright stupid were brainwashed by people who are.
Sometimes I really wish George could see these and record his reactions! After all the hate he got, someone is finally here with common sense to disprove all the bullshit.
On the internet some user wanted to tell me that Count Dooku was underdeveloped in "Attack of the Clones" eventhough:
• Former Jedi Apprentice to Yoda
• Former Jedi Master to Qui-Gon
• Sith Apprentice of Darth Sidious under the Sith name Darth Tyranus
• He got Jango Fett to make the Clone Army
• Leader of the Separatists
Why do people used that argument to explain why Snoke was underdeveloped in "The Last Jedi"?
Makes no sense.
Sorry you know what "character development" or "character depth " is
What you mentioned are background info by this logic 70% of bland villians should have been considered GoOd villains
@@a.f9234
But that background info is at least something.
@Grapthar's Hebrew Hammer
JJ Abrams explained it but Rian Johnson didn't.
by the second film of a trilogy an audience member should know most of the important characters involved. AOTC did this quite well and TLJ didn't. Also yes ROTS had Grievous and did not explain his backstory but you know his deal and purpose in the story. He is the general for the CIS but he isn't that important to the story than him being the last important person in the CIS.
@@modmaker7617 yes technically Snoke is worse but Dooku is more Interesting and intimidating in Clone wars cartoon for me
Most of the prequel villians are iconic but because they are so much of them in one trilogy it can't have a good focus one any of them except Palpatine he is great
Attack of the clones had it´s moments.
34:50 in ep 5 obi wan tells yoda himself he was head strong when he was younger but he learned from it. So they also had to show this
Love your work and videos, keep it up, mate. Keep dissecting the way you do, it's very much appreciated over here :)
I did what must be done! Do not hesitating, showing no mercy I smashed LIKE!
@@Santisima_Trinidad I think I lean as much towards Padme.
“These movies were designed to be understood by 12 year olds”
And the Titanic was designed to be the unsinkable ship.
This video perfectly defends, possibly, the most nuanced Star Wars movie.

Knowing as we do that Palpatine doesn't want to kill Padme (as only the precautions he personally insists Padme takes prevent Zam's assassination attempts from succeeding) and that he wanted the clone army to be discovered by the Republic I doubt that Jango was actually hired to kill Padme.
You destroyed him... As usual.

John DiPlacido yeah. You could pretty easily just flip his complaint around and say how cool it is that they hired so many hit men down the chain to get the job done. I mean, that’s what made it so hard for Obi-Wan to track down Jango in the first place.
