    Hello There I am a little bit skeptical regarding q4 as why the answer cant be "d" ??
    Rule 1 is white dots are reduced by 2
    Rule 2 Black dots increased by 1
    Rule 3 arrows are moving up and down
    and thanks alot for all your efforts .

    • @GraduatesFirst
      @GraduatesFirst  2 года назад +1

      Great question Hemat! The reason D cannot be the answer here is because it has 3 black dots at the top. From the pattern shown, in which a downward facing arrow is shown in the 5th in the sequence, Rule 1 occurs where two white dots are to be removed in the next step.
      However, since there's no white dots to remove, these 2 black dots will still remain for the next step in the sequence. The next step is Rule 2, so we end up with the arrow facing upwards and 2 black dots, which is B. You would expect to find 3 black dots, as in D but the arrow pointing downwards, in the next step in the sequence. I hope this helps! 😃

      @@GraduatesFirst what I don't get is why 0 negative 2 equals 0. To me that seems just like an assumption. maybe black indicates negative numbers and white for positive ones and once we subtract 2 whites from 0 whites we get 2 additional blacks. I mean I understand that in this game this is not the solution but I don't understand why it is logical that the only way this sequence could be continued is that 0-2=0

      Hi @@nicolasbuhler5088 that's a great question as well! For many employer logical reasoning tests, there is no limit to how abstract these questions might be as the rules can involve different colours, shapes, movements etc.
      Practicing these tests helps to familiarise with the types of patterns more commonly used in these employment tests and how to discover the rule quickly to find the correct answer. I hope this helps 😄

    Should Q4s answer be D instead of B

    Thank you for the video ...it was very helpful !!...could u please suggest me on how much time should I practice these questions everyday so that I can master them completely?..I still have 4 years to go for my 1st job interview but I would like to start early ...

    • @GraduatesFirst
      @GraduatesFirst  2 года назад

      Thanks Lilly! We're glad you found our practice questions useful! The most important tip is that there's no hard and fast rule. As long as you're giving yourself enough time to have deliberate practice (and 4 years is plenty of time!) for you to master the basic rules and understand how to spot the patterns easily. I hope this helps! 😄

    question 4 i was thinking d should be the answer can you please help me understand that

    • @GraduatesFirst
      @GraduatesFirst  3 года назад +1

      Hi Abinandan, The reason d cannot be the answer here is because it has 3 black dots at the top. From the pattern shown, in which a downward facing arrow is shown in the 5th in the sequence, two white dots are to be removed. As there are no white dots to remove, this means that there will be 2 black dots also in the next in the sequence. If the final arrow had been facing upwards, then you would expect to find 3 black dots, as in d, in the next in the sequence. I hope this helps!

    Why does the black dot in Q5 remain? Where did it come from in the first place?

    • @GraduatesFirst
      @GraduatesFirst  3 года назад

      Thanks for your question Asher. The black dot remains in all of the answer options, so we know it must be in the next square. The key is the two black dots beneath. We can expect that as in the pattern preceding, after two black dots, we will have a black dot on the left and white on the right. Answer B is the only option that satisfies that pattern. Hope that helps 👊
