When I saw the subscriber count I expected to see 35k-100k but when I saw 849 my jaw dropped to the floor you deserve so much more recognition on this platform, and you put in so much darn work- and your video quality is awesome!!
Thank you so much! 🥹 I am brand new to uploading here on RUclips and I have only been posting for 5 months, so who knows what will happen to this channel, I am just enjoying making videos! :D
Hi Janelle, great video again! I've been putting in about 30 minutes of drawing every day for the last month or so, and the improvement has been amazing to see. I'm just getting to the point where I can start to turn collections of simple forms in my head. I can't yet imagine doing that with the shoulder piece of your character!
LETS GOOOOO! Putting in that work! 💪 I am excited to hear you have been seeing improvement and are starting to translate what you see in your head into drawings! I personally think that's super exciting because now the world is your oyster and whatever ideas you think about can turn into reality, or at least be able to show your ideas!! 🤩 And yeah that shoulder piece was rough, but I figured it out! That's the cool thing about art is that if you work hard at it, you will eventually reap the reward! ☺
Mmmmm for the Model sheet it was about an hour per drawing plus another hour and a half for coloring soooo 10ish hours 🤔 Part 1 with the thumbnails was around 2 hours Part 2 Iterations 5ish hours Part 3 Rendering around 2 hours plus figuring out the final design another hour same with figuring out color schemes, total of 4 hours Keep in mind the thinking time, because in between sketches I am trying to visualize what to draw next. For part 1 it took me two days to do just because I needed time to think and process potential ideas
Nahhhh there is a lot of back and forth when you are working with a 3D artist (well from my experience). So typically they would do a first pass and then send it to me to make sure its good to go or if there is any corrections I would paint on top of the image they sent me. Same with the colors and textures. And then working with the animator I would definitely have to do more breakdowns of how the sword contracts into the armor and work closely with the animator to make sure it looks right 🤗 I am glad you enjoyed the video! 🥰💖
You don't need a top position for a model sheet even if the game is isometric, because these are just suppose to be blueprints for the 3D artist to work from but if you were designing a character for league of legends, you would need a polished concept from the top position because you would want to make sure the character is readable from the top down since that's how the characters look like while playing. Even in this case you still wouldn't need a top down position for the model sheet since they could reference the isometric character concept, or ask the concept artist for feedback or paint overs

That thumbnail brought me here 😂
😂😂 I'm so glad, I had fun making it tbh
interesting
Marry me
😳
You actually need 3 positions, front, side and top to create a 3d model. You didn't create the top.
