I bought this truck from Classic Cars of Dallas about a month after this video was posted in 2014. Still have it and never fails to get compliments at shows, gas stations and stop lights.
Ford started the "F" series with the F-1 in 1948. The 1941 Ford pickup is not an F-1. It's an absolute shame there is not a Ford engine in a Ford pickup. A 5.0 would go nicely in there. Great looking truck though.
Truck still is a looker, I have a 40, used to look very similar to yours, color as well. It’s torn down now, want it back on the streets, but haven’t gotten it there yet. Solid original frame transferred under it, rebuilt front axle and kingpins, new brakes and lines, unfroze the flathead(49-53 block Mercury), and new aluminum radiator. Winter is here, it’s going to have to wait until spring for more progress.
Soory but i don't agree with you on the choice of engine. A Ford engine performs way better than a chevy, any day. You lost a sub. When you lifted the hood.

That's wonderful. A match made in heaven. Happy to hear. Lot of fun years making these videos and still having fun
Great looking truck Sam!
Very beautiful 👏👏👏
Thank you! Cheers!
it was interesting until you lifted the hood. I'll never understand that approach

Was really hoping to see a flathead engine moving this truck.
I felt your pain. Love a built up flathead V8, attractive engines

Edyon I've filmed over 2,500 cars and continue to do cool videos. If you cant handle that, then go away. Lol they are all different
You drop all that money into it and then you go and stick POS engine in it.
Ron Peterson Ford needs a FORD in it! Thanks for checking it out, hard to beat a Chevy smallblock for power and everyday reliability.
samspace81 except when it’s in a Ford body. Then it’s easy to beat, in terms of tradition xp
