      @@crawford5049 I’m not sure how easy that would be. A phone call will cost you a fortune. If you are not in the uk. Video would be difficult as I live in the middle of nowhere. Our internet is rubbish. I’m happy to try though

    What do you use to cut the leather?

    • @UKSaddlerytrainingcoursesuk
      @UKSaddlerytrainingcoursesuk  5 лет назад +1

      Karina Ismail I would have used a knife and cut down the side of a ruler. If it’s a long thong I would use a lace maker. That you can see in the other videos

      I make it up as I go along. I have mentioned before. I never rehearse my videos. If I am in the school and I find 5 minutes. I do a video This one was done at the end of the day just before I was going home. I mention its late in the videoI look around the room and spot a bit of leather then go from there. This video was because I spotted some scrap. and remembered a video my nephew had made. I started cutting 2 strips of leather then thought might as well cut some more. . The ideas for the others came as I was cutting the strips

      UK Saddlery It's awesome how you make beautiful things from scrap! I know a leather entrepreneur and when he gets a scrap pile, he calls me and I pick it up. He gives me all the scrap I want. I've made purses with scrap. Some were even multicolored and they turned out pretty.

      Le'Vin Moser saddle makers always have scraps. Some are big pieces. We can’t use them so it gets binned

      He only has 2 or 3 leather ones. I teach him when he gets here. I also teach him to cook, He also has a couple of cooking videos. Most of his videos are kids stuff. I think he calls them vlogs. He is desperate for subscribers. he thinks that makes him famous. ruclips.net/video/uu0dzNzxQg8/видео.html

      Lol sweet as is like saying cool or fab man. I have nieces and nephews born in the 2 thousands and they say sweet or sweet as. As I am a cool uncle I tend to learn from them. I have watched a few videos and people like to be TV stars. I decided when I started to do videos. That I would not do 10 minute intros . I would just be lazy turn the camera on and talk my usual rubbish and just be me. I also like to leave my mistakes in Because This shows people even after 30 years you still make mistakes. Don't worry about mistakes. Worry only if you can not see the fun in every part of life. Jeeeze I turned into Confucius there

    Wee Gibbery leather shop is fun to watch,I like it because it's not formal, nice natural and real. Thank you for showing how to do basic leather work, can not wait to show the kids and then let them have a go at making their own.this is a great boost for self esteem building in kids.who knows, it might lead them onto becoming leather artists like you.good luck in your saddle competition, love to see it.
