There's already been said a lot of stuff about the whole issue that led to the decision to re-upload the MV and I have my fair share of thoughts on that aswell, but I won't go into that here and instead take the opportunity to tell you once again that I really like the song, the video and, in general, all of you! It's catchy, it's fun and it's colorful and it's a bit of a new vibe that you haven't been covering so far, without completely changing your sound or identity; I think I wrote something along the lines of _'captured the spirit of a warm summer evening and put it into a song'_ under the original MV. It's disheartening to see all the former and well earned numbers go away, but you'll be there again in no time! The internet can be full of hate sometimes, there is folk out there that just wants to see the world burn and it can be quite discouraging, but remember that there will also always be good people out there, so don't give up! 롤링쿼츠 파이팅!!!

When I saw the news pop up about this NON-troversy, I was en route to work. I immediately turned round and went back home to archive the video before it was taken down. I never actually watched it until now. I had assumed that there was some corn rows going on (that are arguably NOT the sole province of a certain race, no matter how much Twitter Fascisti and Corporate Anglosphere ESG-mongers try to say otherwise). So when it dawned on me what was blurred out in the re-up... holy cow, people. Talk about a MASSIVELY HOT TAKE based on the Cultural Appropriation SCAM!!!

When it was first put out, some people complained to the band's management that AREM's hair style was inappropriate because it was stealing from their culture. They bullied the management and band to take the video down, and the band issued apologies across all their social media stating that they did not wish to offend anyone. What I find offensive is the people that bullied them, over something as stupid as a hairstyle. If you look closely at the video you see now, they have used the original video but added some blurring to the base of Arem's braids to hide the "Box Braid" style. My rant above was targeted at the bullies, who are attacking the smallest of innocent things claiming that no one but their heritage can use them, yet they don't live like their ancestors and live their lives daily using things from hundreds of other cultures without any care. Personally, I'm a mixed race family with even non-binary members, so I am very sensitive to issues regarding race and gender, and I will protect their heritage and life choices, where necessary. But no one can claim ownership on something as stupid as a hair style. My heritage invented pants, but you don't see me saying no one else can wear them. Same for hair cuts, tattoos, hair colors, fashion styles, etc.
