Excellent content Luke as usual...Most especially your mom has an upper rp accent i presume which sounds absolutely amazing.
Ruffian 122 It’s a lovely accent but not upper RP I think. Just RP. Upper RP would contain certain certain well-known “posh” sounds. My mum speaks well and as she’s in her 70s her English is *slightly* old fashioned. But it’s not upper RP I think.

The conversation was good as ever. I like you podcasts and how your mum speaks very much, but the book that being discussed made me laugh. It's a typical American fair-tail about an exotic country lying at the other part of their own big and shiny world.
