I do budget builds for students who want gaming PCs and have very little scratch to spend. I bought two of these boards for about the same price as a single Gigabyte B450M D3SH. These boards don't overclock (I mean, they can, but only with 65W CPUs) but it doesn't matter because the students who buy my builds mostly want a PC that can game. For those who have the least to spend, I do an eSports config with Ryzen 3 3100 coupled with an RX 580 2048SP. That's a pretty decent setup for games like CS:GO, PUBG, Valorant, Overwatch, Fortnite and COD. If they have more money than that and want something way better, then an R5-3600 or R5-5500 coupled with an RX 5700 XT goes a long way for them to play most modern AAA titles. The flip side of this is that the PCs are great for doing general purpose tasks as well. Sure, they're not hot rods when running 7-zip but overall they're still pretty quick when using an SSD. I have a lot of fun doing this, I make a few extra bucks and I help out students who can't afford both a console and a PC at the same time. The Soyo B450M Classic is a fantastic motherboard for this purpose. The best part is, they can always upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D down the road so the platform has some serious longevity.
@@AlexHusTech The way that I see motherboards is that the only real purpose they serve is to be something to plug everything else into. They have no effect on performance and they're defined by their feature set. I would say that 90% of people don't use all of the PCIe expansion slots or USB ports that they have so 90% of the time, people buy motherboards that are overkill. Sure, this board may only come with 2 USB2 and 2 USB3 ports on the I/O panel but it also has an on-board USB2 header that can support 2 more USB2 ports and a USB3 header than can support up to eight more USB3 ports (I know this because I have an 8-port front USB3 plate and it runs off just one of my 2 USB3 headers). This board is actually more suitable to the average person than most of the "big-4" (ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSi) boards that people often spend way more on than they should. Some people point to the fact that this board only has 2 DIMM slots and to them I say "Get 32GB in the first place and it will never be an issue." because by the time 32GB isn't enough, AM4 will be a distant memory anyway.

Hi Alex, thanks so much for posting of video review of this board; there aren't many reviews online and your video gave me some good info about going ahead with purchasing it. It worked with Ryzen 1st gen (R5 1600) right out of the box for anyone who might be wondering.
