Ever seen these Brunswick pinball games in the late 1970's? no were as great as this little game. Willing to bet this will be worth more than a commercial game from the same era.
That lil Transformers game looks pretty cool. At first I thought it was mad silly with that red,,,,, good glob is that RED, but watching the gameplay, it's really pretty neat. Still would rather have the full one instead. Great vid as usual, even late at night.
22:29 - 22:34 I feel you on that as I am a business owner too. We all know that statement is far from the truth but I hear customers say that to me all the time. If they only knew! Keep it up Todd. You guys are the best.
I cant wait to see the great work your team will do to that Cybernaut. I'm sure once the work is complete I will want a Cybernaut too. Oh wait that's my machine! I have been a fan of TNT RUclips for a very long time and could not wait for the oppertunity to own my own TNT pinball machine. When I called to order Cybernaut it was Todd who took the order. Keep up the good work and continue making those great videos. God bless. Olvin T. Hernandez
nice. The only home version of a stern pinball that I've seen was for Batman which was sold in a handful of Costco stores in the US. And it is indeed a good purchase for homes which don't have enough space for a full sized table (almost like the Home versions of various arcade machines such as Class of 1981: Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga).
Stern announced that by the end of February 2019, they would be releasing a Spike system manual and schematics. Hopefully, it will also include schematics for "The Pin" models.
Hi guys :) My family and I would like to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to Frank and family on the birth of their new baby daughter :) we are so happy for you guys. Todd I bought a multi game upright cabinet last week by a company called MayGay but the PCB was shot, so I dusted off my pacland board from 1984 and I borrowed a cga to vga converter off my dad while I wait for my new one to come from over seas because it has an LCD monitor and I went online to get the pinouts and I also put a cheap crappy switching power supply in there :) and now my kids are enjoying a game I played as a kid. So we are slowly building up our collection of arcade machines and thank you and your guys for inspiring me to share these old classic games with my kids :) Keep up the good work, and we look forward to your next video.
Anto H. Frank will be thrilled! The MayGay corporation should be brought to their knees for selling you a defective product! :-) Yes...I am glad you follow our procedures with the "cheap crappy power supply" that we use too!!!
Hi Todd, you mentioned about visiting some "nice" cellars, I remember installing a juke box hideaway unit in a .........dog kennel....yep, really, the biggest kennel I have ever seen, and the big dog, just lay around and watched me. that was a nice day.
I've seen this game once, out here in Las Vegas. It was part of a small collection shown off at a place called 'Flipperspiel Wunderland' (I don't know if they are open anymore or not). Odd that there is no information on what the run for this machine was like.
As it turns out, Stern did something tricky with "The Pin" and used it as a test bed for their SPIKE system before it was released to full-size prototype testing. According to a PinSide thread, the boards used are early iterations compared to the Wrestlemania pin, but the modular concept of SPIKE was basically production ready back in 2013. With sales of The Pin, I'm not sure just how much field testing data Stern was able to collect though...
I might be getting a look inside one in the very near future. Someone I know is preparing one to ship for a customer, and has promised to invite me along during the setup and burn-in period.
The playfield is permanently attached to the cabinet? If that's the case, why can't one tilt the entire cabinet up on it's back to work on the back of the playfield (as opposed to getting underneath it)?
Malenki888 There is a tilt bob system in these games...but BOTH of the machines we got in for service did not have the weight on them...so its possible they simply use the steel wire to tilt the game out for a severe tilt.
Thanks for the in-depth look at this machine. The hardware is Spike system, which is what Stern is using on all the full sized games starting with the recently released WWE. All the ribbon cables concern me... I love Williams video games, and all the ribbon cables on Robotron, Defender and Stargate are the cause so many flakey issues.
HAHA I'm DOG 2nd place 3rd place I played it in Melrose park I used to pick up and deliver for stern (CDL) driver and all I like your video I work on mine all the time (Mousing around) where are you guys located
Hey guys. I will have this pin coming into my shop very soon. Don't know much about whats wrong yet other than the 8v and 48v power LEDs on the controller wont light up. Of course this could be a power supply related issue, which is where I will look first. So this is an early Spike1 system. In the event that a controller (inside the head) is damaged and needs replacing, it appears that this board is not available any longer. Any idea if a later Spike1 (WWF and >) controller will work in this pin? Thanks in advance.
www.pinballnews.com/news/sternpin.html hmmm Canada might have some seems to have a redesigned head though more like a pinball game than a home game the ad shows
don't suppose you took a photo of the 2 QR codes at the bottom. phone can't pinpoint :( eep $3000 for the home market is still too much. I'd expect the home ones cost more though..
TNT Amusements Inc wonder if one can get a good still and a proper focuse to see where those QR codes go. I've tried off the tv. computer eh tablets not doing it..
MrVinamp I listened to that a few times....I only hear Walter say something indistinguishable...I was laughing at the fact that the glass was not sliding in right!
Wish they'd make some more titles like this for us poor guys, it's a great concept and I'm kinda sad it didn't really go anywhere.
Whatta ya know buddy, star wars HE just got announced!

Mike Rivest Yes...saw a few over the years....once electronics fail, thats pretty much the end of them....
Very nicely put together video and very entertaining as well. Thanks Todd for posting this.

Paul M The game does have a nice look to it...and the paint is super smooth with a high gloss.

Tito Hernandez When we're done with it, it will be THE most beautiful Cybernaut in the entire world! Just wait and see!
Marco Specialties sells the cpu boards 520-5318-01 (Avengers) and 520-5318-02 (Transformers) for "The Pin" machines.
That's a pretty cool game for the "cheap model"
Riz2336 It does quite a bit!

alan p FUN!!!
I loved "The Pin", still looking for an Avengers to add to my lineup.
Some people loved them...very, very difficult to service though
True, but for the price of a used one it's a trade off I'd be willing to make. I wouldn't have paid the $3000+ for a new one though.

ancientflounder Yes...we are not sure either!

Jared Morgan Neat trivia....I have yet to see the new system...but soon, will do a video when someone orders the WWF!

Pinball EXPO Part 2 Please :D thanks haha
ryan christian 15 minutes edited...its very elaborate with many edits...its taking time
Todd I picked a Transformers "The Pin" recently. It did not come with a key. Do you know if a "Standard" Stern key fits it? Or where to get one?
There is no standard key..
Sorry!
@@tntamusements Sad Trumbone noises 😢
Must be rare, This may be the first outside of the first showings at the CES.
Mike Rivest Yes...I couldn;t find ANYTHING on this game before I got this game in!
Normally in pinball machine you have at least tilt bob or similar device. Is there any tilt mech in this home version of Stern "Transformers" pinball?
Malenki888 There is a tilt bob system in these games...but BOTH of the machines we got in for service did not have the weight on them...so its possible they simply use the steel wire to tilt the game out for a severe tilt.
Logic board looks like the new stern spike system in wwf
demented warlok Spike. Sam was the previous system.
You are right the spike system my bad
Got to see the inside of the wwf and it has the same SD card in it.
demented warlok When we get in our first WWF we will do a video on the new board system!
Hope it's a wwf LE I want to see that one. The legends are the ones I remember.

VortexArcade Oh wow! The ribbons are very very tiny too...
TF HE is how they tested the Spike system :)
Todd. How do/did you get the backbone open?
you have to get underneath the machine to service it, or lay the machine on it side...the playfield does not lift up.
@@tntamusements I was inquiring about the Back Box. Spell check got me.
HAHA I'm DOG 2nd place 3rd place I played it in Melrose park I used to pick up and deliver for stern (CDL) driver and all I like your video I work on mine all the time (Mousing around) where are you guys located
No bumpers are NOT a " detal", ... That was a very EXPENSIVE toy for a kid....
Too many gatekeepers in this community smh 🤦♂️
When will you do that Monte Carlo?
Clint DeMuro That game will be finished by this coming Wednesday...but we are waiting for the new backglass mylar before we do a video on it...
I have been waiting a month for mine.
Clint DeMuro He told me he will have them soon...he sold out of them because they are so nice!
The computer looks similar to the new spike system.
Midway-Man I have not seen the inside of the new Stern pinball...so I am not sure...
What, no manual? What is this, a Spooky Pinball?
manuals are for silly people! :-)

Hi...Its been years since we had this...and I do not know...you could try simply emailing stern service department and asking.
How much are one of these worth?
6-700
Details? I think the word you were looking for is "doodads"!
HerrKlugscheisser Yes!!!
Poor tilt ball! :( Lol.
Tweedlepounce (OtakuSRL) It's G O N E now!

Looks like a nightmare to work on. All the newer model sterns with the sam boards are a pain.
